  • “For Years,” The Taliban Has Been Fighting the U.S. with Arms that the U.S. Shipped to Afghanistan

We get by with a little help from our friends.

    Via: AFP:

Pentagon munitions have leaked from Afghan forces to Taliban militants, enabling them to fight an insurgency for years against materially superior US and Afghan forces, The New York Times reported.

According to a Times study of ammunition markings, of 30 rifle magazines removed from the corpses of insurgents in eastern Afghanistan last month, at least 17 contained cartridges, or rounds, “identical” to ammunition the United States has provided to Afghan government forces.

Although “the scope of that diversion remains unknown,” the newspaper warned that “poor discipline and outright corruption among Afghan forces may have helped insurgents stay supplied” in the wake of “only spotty” US and Afghan controls of weapons and ammunition sent to Afghanistan.

Following criticism for failing to account for thousands of rifles provided to Afghan security forces, some of which have been found in the hands of militants, the Pentagon launched a database documenting small arms supplied to Afghan units.

And the US-led Combined Security Transition Command Afghanistan, which is responsible for training and supplying Afghan forces, has said it has prioritized accounting for all Afghan military and police property.

“The emphasis from our perspective is on accountability of all logistics property,” the transition command’s deputy chief, Brigadier General Anthony Ierardi told the newspaper.

    1. Will Says:

This is a big “DUH.” We supplied the tailban when they were fighting the russians, and it is the same in Mexico. We supply Mexico with arms and money, which is siphoned off into the Cartels. In Afghanistan, drug money will get you the same as in Mexico: govt. arms.

    2. Playing both sides Says:

Did you think George Locas could simply make up a duplicitous government that was playing both sides of the war? This has happened time and time again throughout history, and is common knowledge to all except the completely stupid, or the just plain ignorant.

    3. global plantation serf Says:

Same game as with Al Qaida where we supplied the arms to Bin Laden against the Russians, then we turned on them.

Same as with Iraq during the Iran/Iraq War. Same as with the Taliban. Same as with CIA stooge Manual Noriega. Same as with Pol Pot.

Non-U.S. people out there, the U.S. Government is not your friend. Do not depend on them!

I was going to go down the list for last 200 years but I didn’t have time.

This is not something new although its good to see the information is spreading.
If an interest to know more on this topic exists please indulge yourself in some reading on whats happening with the weapon caches in former Yugoslavia and especially with guns from Bosnia.
It seems that BSA and other military contractors have been exporting/dumping (illegal) guns to conflict areas in Africa and Central Asia under the cover of UN aid shipments.
At the same time its important to understand that Bosnia is a Muslim state in Europe with large numbers of Mujjahedins still reciding within the country.
These Mujjahedins create the perfect logistical opportunity to further enforce a “never ending” conflict and at the same time create profit (with the help of Turkey as a transition country).
Also, since most old weapons had been seized the Bosnian army and other former members of Yugoslavia (including Serbia) needed to be restocked, and just as in Iraq this had to be done by the American and Brittish Military-Industrial Complex hence creating even more profit to the MIC from the conflict.
As a matter of fact, most of the guns found on the Pirates of the African eastern coast usually originates either from China or the former Yugoslavian republic.
The old “Problem-Reaction-Solution” and “follow the money” still rules the globe.

    4. madman Says:

Maybe the insurgents just had the common sense to pick up the guns and ammo of the people it killed during battle. Ahh, the spoils of war… guns and ammo. If the SHTF here, I’d have a free M16 via a 9mm pistol or a AK47. No need to spend money on a semi auto M16, when you can pull it off the body of the military personnel who tried to come and take your guns illegally.

All sides are supplied with arms consumate to their use in the field and standing
if it were required that the Taliban have a nuclear bomb then they would be sent one
the only real struggle the NWO face is the one to keep us all stupid.

    5. I'm So Bored With The U-S-A Says:

Did anyone notice the story about Karzai’s brother narrowly escaping assassination?
No news service saw fit to mention that he was one of the largest opium kingpins in Afghanistan, instaad blaming it on “political unrest.”

    6. GreatWhiteNorth Says:

This type of thing has happened since time immemorial. There is always money to be made on both sides of any conflict by money men who don’t necessarily concern themselves with ideals about who should emerge victorious. Amonsst all this rabble are always people who have to eat.
Trades for these weaponry for needed sundries amongst two parties are always going to happen right down to the individual soldier level. It is supply and demand. Even if you think you are the good guy, if your weapons are out there, they could be being used against you.

    7. Overlordhunter Says:

The illuminati likes to play both sides of a conflict!

    11. Chris Diminie Says:

“Pentagon munitions have leaked from Afghan forces to Taliban militants”… leaked? they aren’t actually referring to the arms the US gave the Taliban to fight the Russians in the 80 are they?

Weren’t the Taliban the established government of Afghanistan? back then anyway?
If they’re talking about another bunch of weapons that’s one thing, but it sounds awfully familiar.

Anyone remember Rambo 3? (Rambo helps the noble Afghani villagers defeat the Commies?)

    12. GWScam Says:

Imagine having friends and comrades killed in this farce. The whole thing is a joke on the participants. NOTHING would keep me from walking away. What stops them? Idiocy? Are american troops ALL psycho loonies? Certainly brain dead.
