| Socialists Fail at Censoring Alex Jones Joey Dauben | March 23 2004 UT journalism professor Robert Jensen and other socialist activists tried to silence the anti-New World Order crowd of Alex Jones and Infowars.com at the March on Crawford event. So much for mob rule. Last Saturday's March on Crawford event was what you would expect from a typical anti-war/occupation peace rally. But it became quite clear that the ones putting it on - from the Dallas Peace Center to the Socialist Workers and Green parties - only wanted their "side" of the debate presented. Several Ellis County residents - including The Ellis County Press reporter Joey Dauben - descended upon the president's hometown outside Waco to bring attention to a much more sinister global event: the New World Order. Armed with anti-United Nations posters, cameras, and Alex Jones' Infowars.com Tyranny Response Team t-shirts, the anti-NWO group infiltrated the socialist groups who lined up - almost 1,000 of them - to hear presidential candidate and mainstream media-labeled "consumer advocate" Ralph Nader speak. From selling Alex' videotapes of the Sept. 11 cover-up, to debating the merits of capitalism with a young socialist who despised the anti-UN posters, our Ellis County representatives did well. Think of it, as Dauben put it, as "protesting the protesters." Not that the grassroots political activists - all of them attendees at monthly Taxpayers Alliance for Good Government meetings - here agreed with the second Iraq invasion (wars are declared, not authorized), but the misguided and failed systems the majority of the Crawford rally's participants advocated were in itself a reason to protest. The socialists also helped produce the day's speaking events, which included University of Texas journalism professor Robert Jensen ranting against "corporate capitalism," and of course, Nader. But behind the scenes, steps were being taken to keep Jones and the Infowars.com crowd from speaking, but it didn't work (so much for mob rule). When the majority of the crowd left after Nader's speech, nearly 200 people stayed to hear Jones rant and present a power-point presentation on the globalist-led one-world government being systematically implemented currently. Jones, in one of his trademark tirades against the dark, Satanist-controlled one-world government, told the crowd they had the power to defeat the globalists and the "phony left" socialists at their own game. And they did just that. |
