“The lone Syrian rebel group with an explicit stamp of approval from Al Qaeda has become one of the uprising’s most effective fighting forces, posing a stark challenge to the United States and other countries that want to support the rebels but not Islamic extremists.” – The CIA Times, “Syrian Rebels Tied to Al Qaeda Play Key Role in War,” December 8, 2012.
“Americans are learning more about the latest piece of major folly the United States has stumbled into in the Middle East, providing arms indirectly to Islamic extremists, considered to be our most important foe, in Libya and Syria.
It almost certainly wasn’t done deliberately, but what occurred was that some in the administration of President Barack Obama wanted to provide military aid to the rebels against the regime of Moammar Gadhafi in Libya and, subsequently, to Syrians fighting against the government of President Bashar al-Assad.” – Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, “Mideast folly: U.S. arms find their way to Islamic extremists,” December 7, 2012.
After denying the reality that the U.S. government is shipping arms, money, and foreign fighters with a Jihadist and sectarian worldview into Syria, the U.S. media is finally admitting the obvious to the American people. Numerous articles in American papers point to the growing visibility of Al-Qaeda terrorists in Syria, but they are only telling half-truths about the radical policies of the White House and the CIA.
The first half-truth is that the arming of radical Jihadist terrorists is not U.S. policy, but the accidental byproduct of outsourcing the war against Syria to the Gulf monarchies. We’re supposed to believe that the CIA was unaware that this would happen after their experience in Afghanistan and Libya.
The truth is that the CIA is deliberately funding and arming Jihadist terrorists to destabilize Syria and change its regime. Regime change in Syria has been a U.S. aim since the false flag September 11 events, and going back further, since the collapse of the Soviet Union.
General Wesley Clark has said in numerous interviews and lectures that the neocons put Syria, Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya, Somalia, Lebanon, and Iran in their sights before 9/11 happened. So none of this is about supporting democracy and overthrowing a dictator who is killing his own people.
Syrians are not fighting their government, and Assad is not killing his own people.
The picture the morally bankrupt mainstream media wants to paint is that Jihadist elements are scattered in an otherwise noble, pure, and freedom-driven Syrian rebellion. They are saying that Washington wants to help the rebels but not the Islamic extremists. But there is no such thing as the “Syrian rebellion” divorced from Islamic extremists.
The Syrian “rebels” are the foreign-backed Jihadist terrorists. So to support the rebels means to support the Jihadist terrorists. Al-Qaeda = Syrian rebels.
The other half-truth is that Washington is a reluctant player in the aggressive war against Syria. The media is saying President Obama is not interested in starting another war in the Middle East. But after Libya who believes this bullshit?
The truth is that Washington is leading from behind on Syria because it is too cowardly to risk its own troops to secure its dream of destroying Syria’s government. So it is relying on Jihadist terrorists to do its dirty work, which involves intimidating Syrian cities with desperate terror tactics, beheading critics, brainwashing children, targeting religious and ethnic minorities, and blowing up Syria’s government and civilian infrastructure.
As Webster Tarpley said in this interview, the U.S.-backed Jihadist terrorists are cannon fodder. Jihadists from all around the world, including many European countries, are risking their lives to help the United States, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, and Israel gain control over Syria. Their stupidity and ignorance is being exploited by the CIA and its partners in crime.
The leaders of the Jihadist terror groups know perfectly well what they’re doing and who they’re doing it for. One of them told the CIA Times back in October, “We use means only used by the devil.”
