The World Health Organization (WHO), the same organization that helped orchestrate a worldwide pandemic flu campaign , has now retracted statements from less than a year ago that the H1N1 pandemic could last years. WHO Director-General Margaret Chan has now declared that the H1N1 flu pandemic has officially ended.
Chan made the declaration based on the findings of the WHO’s Emergency Committee –a group of experts from around the world that has been advising the Geneva-based arm of the United Nations.
“The new H1N1 virus has largely run its course,” Chan said in a statement .
The declaration was based on reports of how much disease the virus was causing around the world, Chan said. While the virus is still circulating, the picture looks much more like a typical year of the flu. Localized outbreaks are occurring in some places, such as New Zealand. But out-of-season outbreaks are no longer being reported in either the northern or southern hemispheres.
Chan urged health authorities around the world to continue supplying the flu vaccine despite published evidence of increased cases of Guillain-Barre , vaccine reactions , adverse effects and even deaths due to confirmed toxicity of the H1N1 vaccine . The FDA and Health Canada also expanded use of untested vaccines to infants and children .

The WHO was highly criticized for exaggerating the risk posed by the pandemic, prompting countries to spend billions of dollars on useless vaccines.
Another recommendation by the WHO was the continued use of antivirals such as Tamiflu which have been proven useless with zero effectiveness . Moreover, the use of antivirals have been found to boost H1N1 virus infectivity .
Chan acknowledged that the pandemic turned out to be far less severe than officials had originally feared. “This time around we have been aided by pure good luck,” she said. “The virus did not mutate during the pandemic to a more lethal form.
Again, Chan and the WHO are misrepresenting the facts and promoting a false sense of security. The pandemic H1N1 is a swine virus that has jumped to humans, which has not happened in a sustained manner since 1918. The similarities between the current strain, and 1918 pandemic H1N1 or seasonal H1N1 in circulation decades ago has led to a reduced infection rate among the elderly.
However, the H1N1 virus can aggressively target those under 65, the demographic for over 90% of the fatalities. These fatal cases are linked to the ability of the virus to target the lower respiratory tract, which has been linked to receptor binding domain changes on the virus.
Norway reported finding a mutated virus last year in three people who died or were severely ill. The mutation allowed the virus to grow deeper in the lungs.
Other health officials have warned of a deadly threat from H1N1 flu recombining with H5N1 bird flu . Dr. Nguyen Huy Nga, chief of the Preventive Health and Environment Department, said the H1N1 virus that causes swine flu could combine with the H5N1 virus and become more deadly than the former and more capable of human-to-human transmission than the latter, especially in winter.
In a move that can only be described as incredibly reckless, scientists at the U.S. Centers for Disease Control had been conducting experiments last fall in which they infected ferrets with both the H1N1 swine virus and the H5N1 bird flu virus to see if they will “reassort” and create a new hybrid flu virus.
Recently released 2010 sequence has demonstrated that there are genetic changes are on the rise , raising concerns for the emergence of a more virulent H1N1 in the upcoming months or years.
As usual, nothing from the conventional medical arsenal (especially vaccines or antivirals) will give the public even a remote chance of fighting off future infections from any type of virulent flu. Only natural protection strategies such as viral-fighting herbs, natural antimicrobials, flavonoids, nutrients, immune tonics and nano-particle silver ions will fortify the body enough to defend against any virus.
