Iran’s Mahmoud Ahmadinejad dismissed the possibility of a war with the U.S. and Israel over his country’s nuclear work, saying Iran is trying to avoid conflict.
“We’re making the utmost effort for providing peace and security at the world level,” the Iranian president told reporters today in Kuala Lumpur, where he is attending a summit of the Eight Islamic Developing Countries. “Don’t worry, there won’t be any war in the future. Mainly they are focusing on some sort of propaganda or psychological war.”
Tensions over Iran increased, helping push the price of oil to a record, after a June 20 New York Times report that Israeli military maneuvers last month were in preparation for a possible attack on Iran’s nuclear facilities. Iran would strike Israel and the U.S. Navy in the Persian Gulf as a first response to any American attack on its nuclear program, an aide to Supreme Leader Ayataollah Ali Khamenei said today.

Iran has the right to develop a nuclear program, Ahmadinejad said, while declining to specify whether his government will suspend uranium enrichment as required in a package of incentives from the United Nations Security Council’s permanent members, plus Germany. He said he was ready for dialogue with the world powers, while repeating his condemnation of Israel, labeling it an “illegitimate regime.”
The U.S. and its allies accuse Iran of using its atomic program as cover for the development of nuclear weapons. Iran, which is under three sets of UN sanctions for refusing to halt uranium enrichment, denies the allegation and says the work is aimed at generating electricity. Enriched uranium can fuel a nuclear reactor or arm a weapon.

Hopefully this admission will put to rest some of the reckless speculation that “Iran is next”, put out there both by US and Iranain officals (and uncritically repeated by both left and right media outlets), distracting us as they cooperate together in installing new Iraqi government.
Specifically the idea that the US would cooperate with anti-Iranian militias like Mujahadin e Khalq to destabilize Iran. There arent to many Iranians today that would support groups like Mujahadin e Khalq, that were fringe to begin with and worked with Saddam Hussein against Iran during and after the Iran-Iraq war.

Just athought.
What if there was never any intention of Israel striking Iranian soil at any time. It was just a way to get the price of oil to new highs.

The Bible says that Persia (modern Iran) along with Russia and other Islamic allies will attack Israel AND the U.S. at the same time in these last days. (Ezekiel 38 & 39) I believe that King David saw this and describes these attacks in Psalm 91. Heaven help us all when this does happen!

If you really believed in the God of the Bible, then you wouldn’t worry about nuclear war, would you?

4Yahshua while the Bible does say that Israel will be attacked in the latter days (Ezekial 38 & 39) it does not say that the United States will be attacked in that battle.
Of course it does say that fire will be rained down upon Gog (Russia) and those that dwell carelessly among the isles (possibly U.S.) , but there is nothing concrete.
Of course I do expect it to happen though because America will eventually reap the rewards of all the evil it has sown from the 50 million innocents killed due to abortion to the millions of innocents we are killing with this sham war on terrorism.

I cant’ believe what is happening. Why don’t people stick with the issue. Why does the Bible have to be brought into this??? Why doesn’t George Bush act like a SANE person and request dialogue with Ahmadinejad to discuss PEACE??

Here we go again. Now it’s about OIL. So what if it is? Why isn’t someone – ANYONE in our government talking about PEACE??

Oh no, more religious crap. God, the bible, Jesus, all a bunch of hogwash. Zeitgeist(movie.com) took care of christianity, and no, it has not been debunked.
Back on topic. I hope there won’t be war, but if there is, I hope Iran slaughters Israel.

Notice they don’t tell this story on MSM websites. The bias against Iran is endless in our media. For instance, why shouldn’t a sovereign nation like Iran test its defenses, especially while Israel has just finished its own wargames scenario for attacking them! They would be irresponsible to their own people if they didn’t prepare to defend themselves while the US and Israel are discussing their destruction.
