AIG Seeks Clearance For More Bonuses

American International Group is preparing to pay millions of dollars more in bonuses to several dozen top corporate executives after an earlier round of payments four months ago set off a national furor.
The troubled insurance giant has been pressing the federal government to bless the payments in hopes of shielding itself from renewed public outrage.

The request puts the administration’s new compensation czar on the spot by seeking his opinion about bonuses that were promised long before he took his post.
AIG doesn’t actually need the permission of Kenneth R. Feinberg, who President Obama appointed last month to oversee the compensation of top executives at seven firms that have received large federal bailouts. But officials at AIG, whose federal rescue package stands at $180 billion, have been reluctant to move forward without political cover from the government.

But, but, but shouldn’t failure be rewarded? Maybe these executives will be awarded the Medal of Freedom in a grand White House ceremony by Obama. After all, George Tenet got one after 9/11/01 from Bush after his monumental failure as head of the CIA.

Who in there right Minds would justify that an Executive “Deserves” a Bonus sometimes usually in the tens of thousands and many times much more. There Bonuses usually surmount in the vaccinity of Hundreds of thousands. Why do THEY feel they Deserve every penny of it? Look, what about the other folks who work for them who earn a minimum wage or not much more than. Do corporates justify there college educations as there basis for earning there bonuses? That’s the biggest cop out from the truth i have ever heard. I’d rather see a soldier earning that in a so-called bonus for putting his Life on the line, then some corporate Big Head sucking up to another corporate Big wig, so he receives his bonuses. So, if you ever wondered what Unions fought for, it was fair wages for a days work. But people look down on Unions why? Unions usually made company’s be honest because they make the company show there earnings at negotiation meetings. The day people turned down looking at why Unions have been shunned, might rethink there thinking that Unions really did stand up for Fairness in the Business world. It was the Presidents past who manipulated and took control of what Unions can do in this country! What the president actually did was give more control and Power to corporate America and that again left you and me out in the cold, left Making there worthless Minimum wage. They might as well call it Slave Labor wages, for that’s just what it is. How do you Pay rent and make utility payments on Minimum wages, yet, try to buy grocery’s. Hell No These Corporate Thieves deserve Nothing in the form of Bonuses. Look, We the consumer are basically paying for there Ungodly Huge bonuses by them raising prices for goods everywhere,and they feel shunned because they wont make there hundreds of thousands in a 1 Year Bonus? Let them get buy everyday on lousy 16,000.00 a year wages or even less and see why the rest of the country don’t feel sorry for them one bit. It’s yours and my sons and daughters fighting there wars while there kids are allowed to go to college, basically on a free pass cause what poppa makes is so huge. Many kids join the service for at least a shot to have some form of college education. They Die Literally trying. So next time i see a Corporate Big shot crying because he lost his Bonus, I think we all should Spit on them like the protesters from the Vietnam War. Yet, those protesters could NEVER fatham what those soldiers where up against or had to go through each and every day. They WERE ORDERED!. While the corporate Businessman who made outrageous earnings sent his son or daughter off to college to save his ass from the Draft. Those are the ones running our country and businesses today. Look what else they Messed up! No i don’t feel sorry a Bit But shame them for asking where there Bonuses are and why can’t they receive them. Selfish Bastards they are!

Folks…the company I work for is scheduled to get an AIG audit because of workmans comp insurance, how legal is this and what kind of audit data can I gather for you guys to inform the rest of the public, also what kind of legal power do they have to audit us, I told the lady who informed me of the audit that as soon as she is finished auditing me I was gonna audit them to find out what they did with the bail out money they received & she got furious..Anyone can you all please inform me what to do or how to handle them? please reply to normaespinoza2008@hotmail.com
