Travellers to the U.S. could have their laptops and other electronic devices seized at the airport under new anti-terror measures.
Federal agents have been granted powers to take such devices and hold them as long as they like.
They do not even need grounds to suspect wrongdoing.
The Department of Homeland Security said the policies applied to anyone entering the country by land, sea or air, including U.S. citizens.
(Article continues below)
The extent of the new powers, which have been secretly in place for some time, was revealed yesterday in the Washington Post.
They cover hard drives, flash drives, mobile phones, iPods, pagers, beepers, and video and audio tapes, as well as books, pamphlets and other written materials, the report said.
Federal agents must take measures to protect business information and lawyer-client privileged material.
Copies of data must be destroyed when a review is completed and no probable cause exists to keep the information.
But agents are allowed to share the contents of seized computers with other agencies and private entities for data decryption and ‘other reasons’.
Copies sent to non-federal entities must be returned to the DHS, but there is no limitation on authorities keeping written notes or reports about the materials.

Definitely the story of the week was the astounding revelation of
of senior Nasa official Clark McClelland.
McClelland supported astronaut Ed Mitchell’s claim that the military was interacting with alien races.
McClelland revealed that he saw an 8 to 9 alien in the shuttle docking bay on his moniter during a classified shuttle mission.
He also witnessed a UFO locked in a stationary orbit with the shuttle.

The whole planet has gone to fuck, we know that, but USA has become top of the shit heap.
What a shame, because the people are alright.
Oh well.

I think we’ve all stayed home too long, watching the brainwashing TV and news. Now it’s time for action; not for staying home. You can’t hide in your home anymore. Do you think they won’t see you if you stay home. No, now is the time to get out and actually try and educate more people on what’s really going on here.
Also to: Heimlich……….Where do you think you can go and get away from any of this ? That’s why they are called The New WORLD Order…..they are everywhere.

so now ‘terrorists’ are going to blow shit up with ipods, flash drives, and laptops? what a joke!
id rather take my chances than have ‘the man’ snooping through all my stuff. this is clearly another law that has nothing to do with fighting terror, but everything to do with encroaching on our rights and freedoms. not to mention that the borders are STILL open, so terrorists can just walk across with as many bomb-laden ipods as they want (sarcasm).
i just cant believe that they announce this stuff, but most people just shrug and go, ‘okay, if it keeps me safe.’
