Al Gore Admits CO2 Does Not Cause Majority Of Global Warming
Startling concession devastates legitimacy of carbon tax, cap and trade agenda

In a new development that is potentially devastating to the agenda to introduce a global carbon tax and a cap and trade system, Al Gore admits that the majority of global warming that occurred until 2001 was not primarily caused by CO2.
Before we get too excited, Gore is not backing away from his support for the theory of man-made climate change, but his concession that carbon dioxide only accounted for 40% of warming according to new studies could seriously harm efforts to tax CO2, that evil, life-giving gas that humans exhale and plants absorb.
“Gore acknowledged to Newsweek that the findings could complicate efforts to build a political consensus around the need to limit carbon emissions,” reports BB News.
Yesterday we reported on how Gore was set to become the first “carbon billionaire” on the back of vast profits from companies invested in the “green revolution” that the former vice-president has a hefty stake in.
We also highlighted how the Chicago Climate Exchange (CCX) has direct ties to both Al Gore and Maurice Strong, two figures intimately involved with a long standing movement to use the theory of man made global warming as a mechanism for profit and social engineering. Gore’s investment company, Generation Investment Management, which sells carbon offset opportunities, is the largest shareholder of CCX.
Gore stands to make windfall profits from his stake in carbon trading systems that would be used to manage the cap and trade system currently being readied for passage in the Senate, but his admission that CO2 is far less of a threat than global warming alarmists have been claiming could be a terminal blow for such a proposal.
As Andrew Bolt writes in today’s Australian Herald Sun, his flip-flopping “Suggests not only that was Gore wrong to claim the science was “settled”, but that the hugely expensive schemes to “stop” warming by slashing carbon dioxide emissions will be less than half as effective as claimed.”

“Over the years I have been among those who focused most of all on CO2, and I think that’s still justified,” Gore told Newsweek . “But a comprehensive plan to solve the climate crisis has to widen the focus to encompass strategies for all” of the greenhouse culprits identified in the Nasa study.”
Gore now blames soot and methane for the majority of global warming, leaving the door open for a tax on livestock, a tax on meat, a tax on milk, and on and on until he changes his mind again and blames another culprit so that too can be taxed.
In another indictment of Gore’s accuracy in warning about climate change, he has now virtually abandoned scientific “facts” in favor of characterizing his Inconvenient Truth presentation in the context of a religious sermon.
“Simply laying out the facts won’t work,” admits Gore.
That’s right, the church of environmentalism has come full circle with Gore’s intention to deliver his widely debunked presentation with spiritual overtones, a move that will shock most hard-headed empirical scientists.
“I’ve done a Christian [-based] training program; I have a Muslim training program and a Jewish training program coming up, also a Hindu program coming up. I trained 200 Christian ministers and lay leaders here in Nashville in a version of the slide show that is filled with scriptural references. It’s probably my favorite version, but I don’t use it very often because it can come off as proselytizing,” Gore tells Newsweek.
In a new book Gore has been working on, he attempts to address the rapidly growing skepticism towards global warming alarmism not with science, but by blaming people’s own thoughts, a Kafkaesque cop-out if ever there was one.
According to the book’s press release, “Among the most unique approaches Gore takes in the book is showing readers how our own minds can be an impediment to change.”
“Our own minds are the enemy! Don’t free the minds – imprison them!,” scoffs Tim Blair.

The fraud here is again perpetrated by the shyster, Paul Joseph Watson, who pulls the quote from context.

They’re called CARBON CREDITS, not Carbon-dioxide Credits.
Soot, carbon black – is, as its name implies, is composed of high concentrations of carbon. Methane is a carbon compound 20X more potent a greenhouse gas than CO2.
Those of you who have followed my posts know that I am more concerned about the Clathrate gun hypothesis, than the slower warming effects CO2 emissions. And they also know that my greater concern of the effects of excess CO2 is ocean acidification.
Either way, carbon emissions must be reduced to prevent these undesirable conditions.

This article is interesting but it fails to mention Al Gore’s new plan to save the planet. After hours of research, super complicated mathematic formulas and time spent in a hyperbolic chamber, Al Gore has emerged enlightened with the knowledge of many politicians. The new plan may sound crazy but it is all we have to go on now that CO2 backed out on us at the last second, we need to blow up the moon. Al’s new theory revolves around having two or more moons. If we nuke the moon, we could end up with three or four times the surface area of the current moon. More surface area equals less sunlight reaching the earth. Also, we would stop the werewolf problem we are currently experiencing in DC. We could stop Al Qaeda from using the moon as a base of operations against us. We wouldn’t have to worry about tides when invading foreign beaches. Pirates couldn’t use the moonlight anymore for nightime navigation. We would also gain valuable experience in blowing up stuff, like asteroids that are hurtling towards us as we speak. The concensus is in, unless we blow up the moon, we will die.

What some people do not know is that water vapor, by far and away the principle solar absorbing gas in Earth’s atmosphere, is always ignored in these studies that Gore quotes. It is also a fact that most of the CO2 in the atmosphere is produced by Earth itself. In fact, human made CO2 has a negligible effect on total solar absorption by Earth’s atmosphere.
What is completely true, and certainly does not need a scientific study, is that Al Gore is a total narcissist, greedy pig. That sure is a surprise, that someone who came close to being US President is so evil, they would destroy the remnants of the US economy so that they can get even richer. What is most vile about this, is that every major US public figure should have been hung numerous times for their accrued crimes against humanity.

Anyone who has traveled to different parts of the country, and the world, should know that in the warmer months – it usually feels a lot warmer where it is MORE humid ( IE: more water vapor in the air )! Good call!!!

The fact that it *feels* warmer does not mean it is. The reason we feel warmer in humid weather is because our cooling mechanism (i.e., perspiration) is not as efficient (because the air is already saturated with water).

Water vapor not accounted for in climate models? Ridiculous! It most definitely is, though not considered a forcing, because the amount of water vapor in the atmosphere is a function of temperature. It is always in balance. Too much water and it rains. Not enough and it gets sucked in (from the oceans, lakes, ground) by evaporation.

Al Gore is a pure genuis as proven by winning the Nobel Peace Prize.
He is a great scientist, one of the best the world has ever known, along the likes of an Einstein or Issac Newton.
I have the utmost respect for brave men like Gore who are not afraid to say the truth.
He would of course be as much for condemning the filthy outdoor smokers and have them banned for them causing global warming too – and that is my personal reason for placing so much hope in him.

well i dont think we need to get to excited here. gore still holds to the fact that co2 is 40% responsable for the global warming effect. that means that the taxes wlll still be levied on us becouse after all it is almost half the couse of the effect. (sarcasim for those like asshole who cant understand it)….also the control of methane and soot should be considered in otherwords they will try to tell us when we can start camp fires, use wood to heat our homes (something my family has done for generations when we lived in mass)

I don’t know if anyone has mentioned this, but there have been recent studies that have found that Mars, Pluto, and the rest of the planets have been warming also. (http://www.livescience.com/env.....rming.html) Have to read between the lines with this article and do your own research to get the truth. So are we to believe that the Sun does not affect climate on this world, or that humanity is so polluting that we have destroyed the climate on Earth in 100 years, or do Martians drive SUV’s too? This was called global cooling in the 60’s and then global warming starting in the 90’s, and now it is climate change. So obviously the consensus of scientists are either politically paid for hacks or complete fools not following the scientific method. Also, science does not work on consensus, it works on fact that is repeatable. Remeber the Scientific Method? There are specific steps that allow a scientist to reproduce their results to validate their hypothesis as fact. An example of scientific fact is the gravitational pull of bodies in motion in space. How about we make these scientist that claim a consensus on global climate change/warming/cooling preset their work for review and scrutiny. This will never happen, because this is not about climate change, but about control over the population.

I have an urgent message for you, more important than any message you can hear. God is Holy and cannot accept sin(honor thy mother and father…, thou shall not kill, thou shall not commit adultery, thou shall not steal, thou shall not bear false witness against thy neighbor, thou shall not covet..etc…Exodus 20:12-17). All you must do to be saved is BELIEVE in Him(trust in Him to save you as a sinner). You must admit your lost sinful condition to Him/that you’re worthy of hell, and ask Him to save you by placing complete trust in Jesus ALONE for salvation(an example in the Word of someone doing this- “And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner.” Luke 18:13).It is not even partly by yourselves that you can be saved, but only by the merits of Jesus Christ!

The Bible condemns the rich, the wealthy, and those who take advantage of the poor, so it CANNOT have been made up by the elite. Because the Word clearly CONDEMNS people such as those! It declares all mankind as sinners(myself included).

The official corporate web sites of ExxonMobil, BP Oil, Shell and Chevron all state that they believe the 2007 IPCC report. Please take the time to read these corporate positions for yourself. Why do these corporations agree with the 2007 IPCC report? ExxonMobile even states that it is proud of it’s two top scientists who worked with the IPCC and also shared in the Nobel Prize. Has anyone read anywhere in any of the IPCC reports that CO2 is not exhaled by humans and is not used by plants? Has the IPCC ever reported that CO2 is the only GHG? ExxonMobile, BP Oil, Shell and Chevron have stated their reasons, on thier corporate web sites, why they agree with the IPCC.

I have an idea to solve global warming, put a mirror on roof of every building to reflect sun light, and this will cause regional cooling, which will also start a chain effect, because there are less sunline will reach the surface of the earth and the heat will be gone, and the earth will become hotter and hotter

Bah, I poo-pooh your mirror notion. Why, the sunlight will simply heat up the atmosphere’s Gore Layer on the way down, and *again* on the way back up! Twice the global warming, you buffoon! Double jeopardy! Then, after a couple of days of bright sunshine (not in the British Isles, obviously) The Gore Layer, being doubly-warmed, will become incandescent, and the glowing infra-red waves emitted will be reflected back from your mirrors, causing a chain reaction the like of which only Mr Gore could possibly imagine.

Gore is a liar and a fraud. If you believe Global Warming you are a kool-aid drinker. I suppose you believed Y2K scare, the Ice Age is coming, FDR’s Tree Famine, etc. Can’t you see the propaganda for political power and control. It is all a fraud. Hitler started the green movement, Hitler’s Greens so the lemming people would “feel good” about being obedient and know how to follow orders.

If you resort to name calling, you are showing your inability to remain rational.
If you refuse to consider facts and evidence, you are in denial.
If you take someone’s words out of context, this is far worse than mere fallacy.
If you misrepresent facts, you are spreading misinformation.
If you do so knowingly, you are effectively lying and contributing to disinformation.
If you exaggerate your claims beyond what is well founded, you make it easier for your opponents to defeat you, and for your possible supporters to ignore you.
I don’t care what your argument is if you do these things – I might have agreed with you, but because of this kind of uncivilized behavior, I am more inclined to disagree.
If you don’t care, then you have proven that you don’t care about finding the truth, you don’t care about helping others find the truth, and you are contributing to disinformation. If you don’t want to appear to be a disinformation agent, stay as far away from that kind of behavior as you can.

Indeed studies show that there are multiple mechanisms causing global warming ( activity of the sun is one we cannot rule)
But the severity of the mechanisms is different, methane for instance has a huge effect but methane is destroyed within 10 Years, so that one takes care of itself .
Soot also, depending on the height it travels at and the order of magnitude of the particles
it will gradually be rained down or accumulated down.
CO2 however is very inert and it needs a lot of energy to tie it into chemicals that do no harm ( plants can do at the expense of a lot of sun energy)

What I find disgraceful is the ease with which environmentalists constantly reinvent themselves when a given Doomsday prognostication fails to secure a basic amount of evidence. Instead of taking ownership of being flat wrong, they instead change their assertions – thus contantly trumpeting some impending catastrophe while avoiding the reality of being wrong on their earlier alarmism. Disgraceful, and transparent.
Now that the actual evidence is starting to come in falsifying the human-caused by carbon emission model, the devotees of that model are changing their arguments in mid-course, now emphasizing less thier earlier assertions about human carbon emissions are causing atmospheric warming, and instead pushing new catastrophes, such as (say) ocean acidification or whatnot.

Here is the letter to members of Congress from 18 top U.S. scientific organizations:
Dear Senator:
As you consider climate change legislation, we, as leaders of scientific organizations, write to state the consensus scientific view.
Observations throughout the world make it clear that climate change is occurring, and rigorous scientific research demonstrates that the greenhouse gases emitted by human activities are the primary driver.
These conclusions are based on multiple independent lines of evidence, and contrary assertions are inconsistent with an objective assessment of the vast body of peer-reviewed science. Moreover, there is strong evidence that ongoing climate change will have broad impacts on society, including the global economy and on the environment. For the United States, climate change impacts include sea level rise for coastal states, greater threats of extreme weather events, and increased risk of regional water scarcity, urban heat waves, western wildfires, and the disturbance of biological systems throughout the country. The severity of climate change impacts is expected to increase substantially in the coming decades. [See Footnote #1 below]
If we are to avoid the most severe impacts of climate change, emissions of greenhouse gases must be dramatically reduced. In addition, adaptation will be necessary to address those impacts that are already unavoidable. Adaptation efforts include improved infrastructure design, more sustainable management of water and other natural resources, modified agricultural practices, and improved emergency responses to storms, floods, fires and heat waves.
We in the scientific community offer our assistance to inform your deliberations as you seek to address the impacts of climate change.
