Alabama County May Call In Troops To Perform Law Enforcement Duties
Another reflection of America’s decline into a Soviet-style militarized police state

The implementation on martial law in America advanced a step further yesterday when the sheriff of Alabama’s most populous county said he would probably have to bring in National Guard troops to perform law enforcement duties due to budget cuts.
Plans to slash $4.1 million from the budget of Sheriff Mike Hale by Jefferson County commissioners in order to head off a municipal bankruptcy filing were approved by Circuit Judge Joseph L. Boohaker.
“A spokesman for Hale, Randy Christian, said the sheriff told Riley after the ruling that state assistance may be needed to perform basic law enforcement tasks once the department’s current funding is exhausted in early September,” reports the Associated Press.
“We will certainly be looking at calling in the National Guard,” said Christian.
Jefferson County has 640,000 residents and includes the state’s largest city, Birmingham.

Moves to replace traditional law enforcement with National Guard troops have been replicated in other parts of the country, including in Schenectady New York, where budgetary constraints were not even cited as a reason for the changeover.
After a handful of police officers were accused of assaulting citizens, Mayor Brian Stratton proposed declaring martial law and replacing the city’s entire roster of cops with National Guardsmen.
“It may be that as a stopgap measure, that you would need military forces – State Police, National Guard.” the Mayor said.
The use of military assets in civilian law enforcement is still illegal under Posse Comitatus, unless a clear state of emergency exists. The misbehavior of a few cops or the inability of a Sheriff to manage a budget cut does not constitute a state of emergency.
In this context, without the justification of an existing crisis that mandates National Guard intervention, the threat to replace police officers with troops on a whim is a sad reflection of how America is turning into a Soviet style military police state, as law enforcement increasingly shifts over to Homeland Security and Northcom controlled military assets.

It is very disturbing. In a country that will do literally anything for money… Then again, you gotta wonder what one-thousand US dollars will actually buy in the not-to-distant future. A bag of peanuts… unsalted?
As for the troops, it’s totally unconstitutional… but that’s never stopped it from happening before. At least those of us who saw it coming prepared as much as we possibly could. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again; I will not be taken alive. Best of luck to the rest of you as well.

Your first step is to realize that most of what you own will not sustain the life of your loved ones. It must all be sold on craigslist before it is too late – especially your collection of People magazine that you do not read anymore anyway. Do not be discouraged my fellow Patriots! You will be spending the money on good things and who does not like shopping-shopping-shopping. Americans are the best shoppers in the world because we will buy almost anything even if we realize that most of it will end up in a yard sale or gathering dust in a storage facility which should be full of your dehydrated food.
Once your dehydrated food runs out you need to have goats (meat and milk), chickens (meat and eggs), garden seeds (vegetables), lots and lots of vacuum-sealed grains to make bread and cook with vegetables, and barter items to survive. You have to be able to grow your own food. Goats and chickens are easy to take care of and are fun to have around too. You can talk to your vegetables too – I won’t tell anyone – each vegetable has its own personality as you will discover. Hopefully you have fruit trees nearby and you have learned about proper dehydration procedures so that you can keep your belly full during the winter when there is only snow on the ground for months and months and months. Chicken eggs have all the nutrients necessary for life, except vitamin C. You can boil pine needles for vitamin C and drink the broth or use it to make recipes. Your loved ones will think you are so smart when they are the only people they know whose teeth are not falling out from scurvy. Growing your own sprouts are also cheap/easy/healthy and if you have enough to feed your chickens your chickens will also think you are almost better than Jesus and will lay big fat eggs for you to eat.
Without a plan to feed yourself for the long-term you are just delaying the inevitable. Don’t be a scavenger – and certainly don’t be dead because you think you have as many skills as this cool guy I talked to once called La Resistance who is probably a Bad-A because he can live off of what he finds like a hunter-gatherer so he is eating lots of grasshoppers like this guy John I heard of once but since most of us would not know how to find that many calories in the wild each day I suggest you have cute animals and vegetables and shady fruit trees to keep your belly full instead of thinking you are Robinson Crusoe or Kevin Costner or other Bad-As like them.
What are good barter items? Things that people will need that they are not thinking about right now. Buy large boxes of tampons, for example. But do not tell anyone that you have thousands of tampons because they will think you are 1) weird and 2) evil for not giving them out for free since they “need” them so much and you must not be a nice person – maybe a couple boxes for your loved ones. Think along these lines.
Do not sit in front of your computer without taking action anymore. In fact you should be out walking a lot. You will be walking a lot more so be sure to have comfortable shoes in your size that you can walk in for a long way like to the Rocky Mountains where smart people moved a long time ago although big city people are laughing at them but they will not be laughing when they realize that there is no such thing as a pizza seed. Walking outside is a good way to get vitamin D which is really important for fighting diseases and viruses that may or may not have been test-tube babies. And if you are walking a long long way you would be wise to have extra socks and foot powder and a little soap to wash socks because hygiene and the positive outlook that comes with being clean and refreshed are certainly very important when it comes to that popular word that is not actually a word: survivalism – which is basically survival except for the very long term where hopefully the primacy of the Constitution is eventually restored and free trade and free travel are allowed because even Mel Gibson has to have something to hope for to keep him going.
Buy Spanish grammar books, dictionaries, and Spanish versions of books you like, to teach yourself Spanish to be able to communicate with the enormous amount of people you will encounter and possibly befriend once the collapse occurs. Every good human being will work together for a strong community no matter where they came from. Ignoring this will be unwise – think of every way you can benefit your loved ones in all scenarios. Rural areas have many immigrants – do not imagine they are not just like you and have real hope for a better future and a strong community – you cannot change the fact that they are here. I am not Hispanic and I have never been to a Spanish-speaking country and you can teach yourself Spanish if you are dedicated and read books out loud and begin the process of using your subconscious to naturally grasp and utilize words – you will feel words magically coming to your tongue after even a few days of reading out loud. This is why Americans take years of language training and cannot speak the language – set aside 10 minutes a day. Watch DVDs in Spanish – write the subtitles. Write thoughts in Spanish. You could do this with any language – but my bet is that learning such a common language will most likely reward your time spent. You can use this to keep your brain nimble as well. You will want your children’s brains to remain strong and you will want them to have skills that will give them an advantage in life. Have good books in English, too, of course. Also have good books that will teach your loved ones the experiences of others.
It takes ~10 years to really know your soil – you will not be able to reliably grow your seeds without knowing exactly what your soil is capable of – so circumvent that by looking up “square foot gardening” and buying equal parts vermiculite, peat moss, and compost. This is a garden for people to grow huge tomatoes and carrots but do not need a plow and do not need lots of land and who can thank their lucky stars that they looked up this easy method that almost guarantees that your vegetables grow grow grow. Learn how to compost. Learn how to re-use everything. And keep your chickens and kids out of the garden too so you might want some simple fencing for your small but highly productive garden.

It’s a shame that a book that has predicted the future so well is still scoffed at even by those awake. The events of today are evidence of the divine inspiration of the Bible.
Satan inspires the NWO, why is it so hard to believe that God inspired the book that forms the foundation for resistance to the NWO. The NWO is all about wealth and power, which the Bible says is the root of all evil.
The NWO wants to chip us all, which is the mark of the beast. An idea that was impossible to even conceive at the time the Bible was written.
Scoffing at the Bible is unneccessary. The NWO is working to usher in the Anti-christ, they believe in the Bible, they have just chosen to oppose God, they’ve traded their souls for wealth and power.
I take comfort in knowing that ultimately our future is in God’s hands. And, His plans do not include losing to the NWO. That much I know.
I find that those who scoff, and overtly mock the Bible have never opened one and read it’s contents. They speak from ignorance, the just rattle on with inane ignorant comments which reveal their bigotry.

I have a statement to make also..
If any of you out there..KNOW any national Guard..or Soldiers..or even..Bureaucrats who are or MAY BE involved in this scenario or ANY..ACTUAL..flat out FASCIST actions…YOU…MUST..TRY..TO..STOP..THEM!
For me..aside from the obvious Constitutional realities that we probably all pretty much agree on..I must say..SO MUCH OF THIS..this Corporate Fascist Militarization Of Social Policy…LAY at the FEET of the actual TROOPS!
They are RESPONSIBLE..c’mon! it is THAT simple..If they say to their commanders..’We took an OATH to UPHOLD…PROTECT..and DEFEND the Constitution..and this is NOT LEGAL..and we do not CARE if our ‘Representatives” cannot HONOR their Oathes..WE WILL NOT PERSECUTE our fellow CITIZENS in direct violation of the Constitution!”
If they do that..in large enough numbers..if they simply HONOR THEIR COUNTRY over the ORDERS of their Corporate Fascist Bureaucrats and Flunkie Commanders..then we will SURVIVE this..

there is a good youtube series by a guy by the name of jacob prasch, who can help explain the need to recognize that it really is a case of the whole world being deceived , the need to return to the bible, and that we as a nation really do need to return to jesus christ. Part of what he explains is that , there are many individual impetus, the war on terror, the war on drugs, the integration of the world economy,multiculturalism, globalism, the integration of a world religion, are mere aspects of a larger impetus, a political , economic, and religious union that allows the antichrist to come into play and to make people that are doing well think that any one of these issues is the reason behind the urgency of the people that are down and out.

I wish employers would just hire more part time people instead of mostly full time people. because then the martial law thing would not be required. the only reason or the biggest reason I see to bring in the troops is because of all the desperate people. I mean, every once in a while I have to scan a garbage can for say a chicken sandwich in those times when I am looking for a job and the bennies are all gone. but to have like twenty percent of the population doing that,there’s just not enough garbage cans to go around, plus a lot of the restaurants are locking up their garbage.

Everyone’s a rat now. If I saw a violent crime in progress I’d stop it because you don’t just stand there and let someone get hurt, but I’d NEVER rat to the cops for a neighbor smoking pot or whatever, it might get my neighbor shot.

Billions for war overseas yet the financial needs here in the U.S. are lacking. Are we trying the Soviet economic model? With the same foreign country? (Afghanistan) This is NOT sustainable and will eventually collapse. What will it look like then? Riots, mayhem, martial law? This story shows a symptom of a much larger problem.

The problem being our government is criminal. It’s sad how this gets reported and no one in the media or the government can remember that in the Constitution they swore to uphold, the 10th Amendment prohibits this very behavior. If people are wanting martial law this badly, maybe they deserve it?

This semantical game of defining the true meaning of “Anarchy” has been going on a long time. It’s thrashed out on leftist websites almost daily. The Thesaurus defines Anarchy as a “Lack of Civil Order or Peace”. Antonyms are “Lawless” and “Absence of government”. Word Tutor says “The complete absence of law, order, and government”. Now if this is, as you stated, a “Form of community government”, I’d like to know what sort of “community” you’re advocating here. Certainly not one I’d want my children living in.

Anarchy and chaos are NOT synonyms. Anarchy is a non-hierarchical system of communal governance. If you have studied greek word roots, you will recognize immediately the meaning: “an” as in “none,” and “archy” as in “order.” Compare this word to hierarchy, oligarchy, or monarchy in order to grasp the linguistic meaning. This word does not, however, suggest lawlessness in the sense that you are thinking. In a non-hierarchical system, there is no central arbitration mechanism such as the US Justice Dept. There are no elected or appointed individuals, an no person has any greater or lesser influence over their peers. Anarchy is primarily focused on collective self-governance. Everyone has an equal say and everyone is expected to contribute equally. I think what most people find scary about anarchy is that it requires individuals to take responsibility for themselves. Most people are not ready to do that, much less to take a share of responsibility for their community. Anarchical systems are in our nature, though, and many of the most successful civilizations have been anarchies. Hell, the United States was originally an anarchy, before we got lazy and elected officials to represent us instead of holding town meetings. : P

Why don’t you reference the literally thousands if not tens of thousands of native cultures around the world that have perpetuated sustainably for tens of thousands if not hundreds of thousands of years under this “leftist pipedream” paradigm? The first two I would name would be the Iriquois Nation and the Aborigines, followed by the Inuit, the Bedouins, the Souix, the Hopis, the Quakers, Buddhist monks, and even John Winthrop’s “City on a hill,” just to name a few.
I will concede that not all of these cultural paradigms represent “pure” anarchy since there is usually at least one tribal chief, head monk, or preacher who is more influential than others in the community. Indeed, it would be impossible to achieve perfect equality; however the idea is that even with a chief, individuals are on an equal footing. Also, this sort of communal cohesion is only possible on a very small (and thus SUSTAINABLE) scale.
And I agree that Anarchists rail against “human endeavor[s]” like war, genocide, the food industry, strip mining, toxic dumping, slash n’ burn, ten-lane freeways, fascist goddamn pigs in the street, McDonalds, and fluoridated drinking water, but I guess it really just comes down to what you value in your culture. If any of the above appeal to you, than by all means, buy Amuric’an. If not, perhaps it is time to consider another option.
You’re right in that Anarchists don’t have a “PLAN,” but only in so far as you may mean a plan to conquer & control the world. Anarchists plan mostly to stay alive. And when you pry your lips off the Govt’s tit, you will find it takes an awful lot of work to do so. Hunting, tending crops, caring for livestock, making clothing, building structures, gathering firewood, and defending the community from hostile raiders might be a few of the things in an anarchist’s daily planner. This doesn’t leave much time for imperialistic tendencies…
Regarding your attempt to ossify the definition of a word: first off, definitions are inherently subjective. You will find fifteen different definitions in as many dictionaries for the same word. This variability is attributable to the subjectivity of the editors. I am not “re-defining” the term “anarchy” above, I am providing linguistic analysis. If you care to think about the meaning of the word instead of religiously clinging to your dictionary, you will see that there is no implication of chaos. If you care to visit an anarchist community instead of zealously defending your Euro-centric preconceptions and prejudices about proper communal living, you will find that people there mostly live in harmony with one another.
Finally, the folks in the streets of LA on April 29th of 1992 were not in a state of anarchy. They were in a state of oppressive and quasi-fascist brutality directly perpetrated by the LAPD and further excused by the corrupt system that benefits from having attack dogs with sharp teeth.

It really just comes down to what you value in your society and what you use as a basis for judging the success of a civilization. If your basis is military power and imperial influence, than Rome and Greece were certainly powerful cultures. If you use other benchmarks, such as longevity, the Aborigines and indigenous Americans beat Greek, Roman, and even Egyptian cultures hands-down.
Longevity is a much better measure of cultural success than military power because military power fluctuates and is always only relative to the military capabilities of surrounding cultures. Longevity is more or less an isolated characteristic; that is, it is independent of the attributes of surrounding cultures. Longevity also displays a culture’s ability to successfully propagate itself and it provides a yardstick by which one can gauge a culture’s sustainability. Unsustainable cultures disappear (see: the Romans) whereas sustainable cultures successfully continue on for generations. So, in a very real sense, Western cultures have been trumped time and again by indigenous cultures. As a side note, you claim that Greek culture was not anarchistic, but you must have forgotten that the Greek city-states were governed for generations by a forum of citizens who met on equal footing (of course, slaves and women were not included). While this is not exactly anarchy, it is communal self-governance, which serves as a suitable lay definition of anarchy.
Again, you are the one who is confused, and not I. See Lunsford’s comments at the beginning of this debate, and I urge you follow his advice and do some research before you start waxing philosophical. Without that crucial step, you just come off sounding like a bufoon. Pop-culture punk music and Anarchism are two completely distinct and separate movements, and just because the Sex Pistols or the Ramones sang about it doesn’t make them anarchists.
Your concluding remark reveals your utter incompetence on the subject. The Federal Gov’t is anathema to anarchy; Anarchy strives to dissolve centralized power and control mechanisms whereas the Federal Gov’t (All federal govt’s, really) seeks to consolidate and increase centralized power. The Feds are not anarchists, they are really a mix of oligarchs and meritocrats, heavy on the oligarchs (let me help you with a quick definition: “Oligarchy” is a form of governance in which the rule of law is established by a select group of elites, usually well connected families or business owners).

Even got caught in a Soju tent and received a company grade Article 15. That base barely had modern barracks back then. Was a ruined s---hole back then. The Birmingham situation is not a whim of the sheriff. I am a very strong conservative who believes in much of what Prison Planet fights for. The problem is that the County Board has completely bankrupted the county. It is billions of dollars in debt. The funds for the sheriffs dept. was not supposed to be touchable. But the Board took it anyway. The sheriffs dept had already cut themselves to the bone. This sheriff has been very good with his budget. There comes a time when no more can be cut without losing services. This is the situation that his sheriff is in. This is one time when all the facts were not compiled before making an accusation against this sheriff. Without these funds, it is possible that B’ham could become a very dangerous place. I have worked in B;ham since 1979. While it is not the most pleasant thought, it could literally become an emergency situation if something is not done. It is hard to believe that the judge in this case made this ruling. All sane individuals thought it was a slam dunk for the sheriff in his fight to keep these needed funds.

As a resident of alabama, i can honestly say that most of us are ready. In fact, i may be so bold as to say that alabama could possibly be the worst state to experiment with such militaristic actions. But none the less we’re ready. To think that this is actually going to happen beginning in Jefferson County is almost laughable to me. The alabama self defense laws alone are the greatest in existence within the United States. Bearing arms here is second to breathing oxygen and for a good reason. You mix this innate attitude of self preservation with an opposing forceful control grid built on the basis of providing you the illusion that they are performing the job of your self preservation for you, the resulting product will undoubtedly be regretted by conscious morale individuals who brought the National Guard here in the first place. And regretted even more so by individuals observing what transpires outside the state. You can all bet, some amount of chaos will ensue.

If were not using the principles of tsun tzu now against swat teams, then when? they certainly aren’t going to wave a flag or announce on the news nationally from point forward we are at war with the citizenry. I would think that swat teams , their weak spot is the family they leave at home when out raiding other people’s castle’s, and they come on the television announcing who they are , you know, and no one is applying the principle inherent in tsun tsu now. It don’t look good.

I had a Guardsman tell me today he would not only follow orders to deploy against American Citizens, if they armed themselves he would identify them as a “Domestic” enemy and shoot them, because in the Military they “Interpret the Constitution differently than civilians.”
Understand…in the event of any emergency humans want to feel in control, which is why our own troops will gladly follow orders against us, to alleviate their own fear! This is why China has no shortage of Chinese Troops to suppress the Chinese people, because Chinese children grow up in FEAR of their government, and if you can’t beat ‘em, join ‘em!

Someone above said 188 police are to be laid off in that Alabama county. Just a note, the newspapers in California said this morning that 40,000 prisoners will be “let loose” to rome the streets and commit more crimes. They ran out of money in California and now the s--- will hit the fan. I’m glad I armed myself and bought plenty of ammo, my s--- is safe.

I suggest that when the cops try to fine you for things – you don’t pay a dime, but tax the system just like ACORN and make them have you serve jail time. Instead of a $200 fine, it will cost the system $1000.00.
I also suggest that the FED is not considering the millions of armed citizens. The 2nd Ammendment gives each citizen police powers, not just the cops. We all have the duty (notice, not a right) to uphold the law (ie-constitution) to protect life, liberty, and property.
What the FED always tries to do is to ignore the public. They’ll be thinking twice when we whip our our weapons and serve as policemen. We already have them shaking in their boots by confronting them with tea parties and at townhall meetings. Most of the DEMs are worried about the 2010 elections. If the FED is going to make their Marxist move – it must be now.

Just as thw NWO thugs are ignoring us at the tea parties, our e mails, our letters, our phone calls, and the townhall meetings – we can do the same to them as they are doing to us. Ignore them.
The only power they have over us is what we give to them. If we blatantly ignore their little threats to take away our freedom, and we live life as it was intended in God’s Word and in the Constitution – they have nothing to stand on.
Just as they like to ignore us, we should completely ignore them. Don’t pay them a penny, rather keep it to feed your family. And don’t give them 1 penny of your freedom. Stand up for God and the Constitution. If some whinny little atheist tramp starts complaining about a Bible study or prayer in a school – ignore it. Remember when an entire stadium of families prayed b4 a high school football game after the town authorities said they couldn’t? The town authorities, the state, and the police could do nothing.
Don’t give the NWO the authority they think they have – rather ingore them and live under God as holy men, and under the Constitution as free men.
