| This map shows a growing number of states that have passed and propose resolutions to assert the Tenth Amendment and the Bill of Rights of the Constitution. | |
The Tenth Amendment is part of the Bill of Rights and was ratified on December 15, 1791. It states the Constitution’s principle of Federalism by providing that powers not granted to the national government nor prohibited to the states are reserved to the states and to the people. It is based on an earlier provision of the Articles of Confederation: “Each state retains its sovereignty, freedom, and independence, and every power, jurisdiction, and right, which is not by this Confederation expressly delegated to the United States, in Congress assembled.”
On this resource page, you will find links to the various bills and proposed bills by the states, articles covering this important topic, and related videos.
Washington, New Hampshire, Arizona, Montana, Michigan, Missouri, Oklahoma, California, and Georgia have all introduced bills and resolutions declaring sovereignty under the Tenth Amendment. Colorado, Hawaii, Pennsylvania, Arkansas, Idaho, Indiana, Alaska, Kansas, Alabama, Nevada, Maine, and Illinois are considering such measures.

Way to go! Idiots like that guy don’t have the ump to contribute anything anyway. That’s why they have to cling together. Nobody else wants to try to explain anything to them. Let the Fema Camps pick them up, they are useless to us patriots.

It was only on February 8th, 2009 that yet another caller
made a comment to Alex about state sovereignty movements and
State’s rights movements, and Alex made excuses about not doing
it like if only one state does it then they would be targeted,
and that he did not want to break up
the U.S. This had been a constant refrain of his up until about
February 9th when he finally decided to get in the swing of
the movement. However, in no way did he start this movement.
In no way was it because of him! Wake up!

Nice to see California on that list. No telling if it will turn out to be good for us though, this place is nicknamed “The Republik of California”. I hope they don’t declare sovereignty from the federal government for us, just to turn around and take our guns and liberties themselves.

No kidding. Naturally if California has passed this then of course you never hear about it on the MSM or if you do, the implications of the bill are never sussed out by reporters. I remember when a movement to have SoCal secede from Sacremento got enough momentum that I remember the news actually reporting it. I can think of alot of people who’d love to see Cal. secede from Washington, but admittedly I have to wonder what would become of gun owners since California was the leading state on gun control in the U.S. Not to mention we got the ” Governator ” in office. Perhaps Arnold’s dreams of a presidency may actually pan out, albeit on a smaller scale.

If Cali secedes, it will not have the benefit of federal troops, to defend itself against armed insurrection. It will not have the funds to hire mercenaries. Don’t gun owners out number non-gun owners out there?
i wouldn’t think for a minute that all of its present cops and troops will go along with whatever confiscatory plans may be afoot – if indeed that state’s got the nerve to secede. IMO, CA was the leading state on gun control only because it had U.S. backing. Shucks, it may have been acting under orders.
Arnold will have his hands plenty full trying to maintain the interstate and railroad systems without federal subsidy. What’s a few guns, in a post secession earth quake scenario anyway?
Cali seceding? Hardy har har…no way, califoria dreaming…

the constitution came about through the states not the fed— good point. Lets disolve the bickering and unproductive religous and non-religious fighting. They are counting on the fact that we have infighting, think about this– if the enemy are those that take away our liberties and the call for it and alongside of that do we have taxation enumerous, do we then start internal fights to hold onto their propaganda for separation?
No, you turn your beliefs against them that want to divide and conquer. We the people rise to the expectations of necessity for it is out of necessity do we find ourselves to defend our way of life rather than conform to a small collective that wants you all to be slaves and die by their usury and deception. Does it really matter the name of the enemy? is it not enough that they are an elitist group that can manuever on a global scale? Even if you believe it is a satanist group or a israeli movement, it is still an elitist group regardless of how specified it really is. An elitist group in which an enemy must be fought both foreign and domestic. On a side note, believe in the content of character not the color of skin. How can you point out the corruption from various sources without first acknowledging the fact that corruption is being perpetuated towards all peoples who do not accept tyranny?

Dame Stella already knows who the REAL terrorists are; the Governments and those wealthy elite who really run the governments.
She knows what is going on, why and obviously has more conscience than those she once served. Our rights in the UK and around the world are being taken away by the spectre created by those in power and no one else except for a few hotheads.

For those of us who have studied ancient history, the idea of states having more power than
the federal government is not something exclusive or particularly new to the American Bill of Rights. (The first 10 Amendments, more specifically the first 8 to the Constitution.) Although it is a remarkable document.
Ancient Greece, as small as it was in terms of land mass had about 1000 city-states. Some democratic, some not. But as small as those city-states were, the Ancient Greeks were giving us the idea, perhaps subtly, that democracy tends to work better when it’s localized than when it does if it’s centralized.
The founding fathers of America knew this and perhaps that is why they gave more power to the States than the Federal Government in the Constitution.
February 16th, 2009 at 7:23 pm
who cares about the schematics of what and why people who cares about speculating on beliefs on the founding fathers, what matters is not what you guys are doing which is doing the same stupid tactics as the elite to divide and conquor. I dont care if the founding fathers believe in a rabbits foot just as long as the constitution and the bill of rights are REGAINED!!
stop making stupid shit up to divide and conquor.
February 16th, 2009 at 8:03 pm
None of this is going to stop the ever growing financial crisis that will end up bankrupting these states, and for that matter, all of us in the process. We should not let ourselves become distracted by something that may not matter in the end, because most of these states deficits are severely in the red and will need a bailout from the federal government and in exchange for any such bailout may be forced to reverse their decision to declare sovereignty. This simply does not cover the underlying problem that continues to exist.

On the contrary, it’s the bailous that states DONT need!
And that’s why in addition to regaining each state’s sovereignty, the US need to abolish the Fed and introduce a viable monetary system.
February 16th, 2009 at 8:19 pm
Actually, states can make a big difference if the majority of the fed laws are disolved and/or prosecutions are conducted if they enforce rogue fed laws. Also, a biggie would be the actual confrontation between the federal reserve vs. states whereby the states do not allow federal expansion and to start buying gold and silver state by state.
February 16th, 2009 at 9:14 pm
Lets drop the what the founding fathers got their inspiration stuff. It dont matter if they did jumping jacks while whistling dixie, what matter is that the constitution was brought forth by the states not the federal government. STATES RIGHTS, null and void the federal rogue laws!!

Jefferson correctly stated back in late 1864, “there are essential differences between North and South, that will make them, regardless of the outcome of the war, two separate nations.” Southerners, join the restoration!
