Socialist Brainwashing: No Child Left Behind

Joey Dauben June 16 2003

"If liberty dies in the United States, it is destined to die everywhere."
-- Economist Walter Williams

Liberties in our Constitutional republic are
slowly being eroded away by Big Government Socialists (though, Communists would not be too far off), hell-bent on providing everything to everyone via their corrupt social programs.

The biggest method Socialists have of promoting their agenda is none other than government-run schools, or public schools.

And since I am a product of the failed Socialist education system, it will be the topic of this article. But before we begin, we must first define the term "socialist" or socialism:

Socialism - Economic system based on government control of the production and distribution of goods.

Socialist - One who advocates, promotes, or legislates social programs, where the initiation of force, via taxation or other coercive methods, is used.

Renowned economist and philosopher Fredric Bastiat, in his classic, "The Law," will have much to say about Socialists in this column. And rightfully so...

"The State is that great fiction by which everyone tries to live at the expense of everyone else. Individualism, liberty, property - this is man. And in spite of the cunning of artful political leaders, these three gifts from God* precede all human legislation, and are superior to it."

*Since Bastiat was a Christian, he believed (as do I) that God endowed People with rights; people of other faiths, whatever mythology they believe, also have birthrights.

The perpetuators of any and all social programs should pay special attention to that quote, because unfortunately, our nation has been completely brainwashed into thinking that it is our government which is the sole provider of everything - food, clothing, shelter, education, our rights.

This is why it is especially important that the pro-freedom citizens join forces to inform the misguided people of our country of the dangers these Socialists have been doing, and are doing..

And the biggest destroyer of society we must infiltrate is our schools. These bastions of Socialist factories are the most critical, because it is in them that young people are taught the skills needed to "survive" and live, function in society.

"...liberty is not only a mere granted right; it is also the power to a person to use and to develop his faculties [abilities] under a reign of justice and under the protection of the law."

- Louis Blanc

Too bad you are not allowed to use your abilities - the Socialists have devised ways for all independent thought or feelings to be silenced.

For a better explanation, check out this neat little
slideshow.

But let us look at our schools from an insider's viewpoint. In this case, from my observations. I am only two years removed from the
Midlothian Independent School District, and I have a wealth of information to share, but we're only going to make note of one example the Socialists use.

Our teachers, if they know it or not, are actually advocating and promoting Socialism. For example, when a student is out of line, one of three things can happen:

1) Student is sent to principal's office
2) Student is ignored
3) Student is publicly humiliated

Humiliation is a tool Socialists have used to silence political dissent, or to brand the non-conforming types. And it's being used constantly in our public schools - especially at the elementary grades.

But instead of calling it the "Socialist Method to Get Kids In Line," teachers and administrators give it catchy names, like the "Color System."

But what are non-conformists, you ask?

"He who would dare to undertake the political creation of a people ought to believe that he can, in a manner of speaking, transform human nature; transform each individual - who, by himself, is a solitary and perfect whole - into a mere part of a greater whole from which the individual will henceforth receive his life and being."

- Jean Jacques Rousseau

And what is the Color System? You know, the little color-coded merit system teachers use to punish (or reward, depending on the structure of it) a student. Say a student talks too much, or hits another student, the teacher would then go "pull" a card - light colors are the "warnings" but if they get way out of line, a darker color could be pulled. This happens right in the middle of class, in front of everyone. The method is intended to show the student that he/she is in fact wrong, and must correct that wrong if he/she wants to continue going to school there. This could also work in a reward situation, but pulling cards for doing "good things" and then receiving a treat afterwards.

But unfortunately for the teachers, they have no clue (some might) that their little "behavior adjustment" methods are the works of Karl Marx-worshipping Socialists.

And the thing Bastiat says about the "enemies" of these particular policies is also notable:

"If you suggest a doubt as to the morality of these institutions, it is boldly stated that 'You are a dangerous innovator, a utopian, a theorist, a subversive; you would shatter the foundation upon which society rests.'"

Author's note: "Or worse, a 'radical,' or 'extremist.'"

The solution to this Socialist mess

Abolish government education altogether. There simply needs to be a Separation of Education and State. We've seen the results for 60 years now - it's time to give up the State-owned and operated monopoly that is education.

But until then, what this country needs is another Joe McCarthy. Every teacher, administrator, or public school employee advocating, promoting, or declaring these Socialist methods should have their full names listed in newspapers, or in public places (black-listing if you will) for all to read - that way, the People will be able to find out which teacher/administrator actively promotes Socialism.

Extreme? Not hardly. Even if you do think so, you might be tagging along with the Socialists.

"Every time we object to a thing being done by government, the Socialists conclude that we object to its being done at all. We disapprove of state education. Then the Socialists say that we are opposed to any education.

"We object to a state religion. Then the Socialists say that we want no religion at all.

"It is as if the Socialists were to accuse us of not wanting persons to eat because we do not want the State to raise grain."

- Fredric Bastiat
