| strategy, coordinated on all levels and fronts as a massive effort, to divert attention away from clandestine agendas. Drawing attention to struggles between political systems, ideologies, races, and classes obscures the historical struggle for power and wealth. This creates confusion and stirs up contention among the ranks of the disadvantaged majority, enabling the global elite to preserve stolen wealth and power. The two-party system of checks and balances in the legislative branch has been rendered powerless and has become a facade of freedom and den of debauchery. The mindless masses are spoon-fed a daily diet of deception and distractions, until the horrifying final phase of total global tyranny is implemented. The political spectrum is a term referring to differences of various ideologies, though the main unified objective is to maintain the status quo for the privileged few. Systematic infiltration of intellectual, political, and ideological organizations has set the limits of debate within the requirements of the ones who control wealth. The Left-Right political spectrum is their creation (can be traced back to the French Revolution), which reflects their artificial polarization of the population on phony issues and keeps the spotlight off of themselves. Though the two parties oppose each other on the surface, neither can exist fully without the other, as the Right-Left conflict is controlled in such a way that both sides are suppressed. Subjective regulations dupe the public into supporting what benefits the Money Powers, who actually control government bureaucracy, in their modern Machiavellian power structure. It is helpful to visualize a line representing the political spectrum. Starting from farthest left to farthest right would include the following in this order; Socialist/Communist, Leftist, Liberal, Centrist/Moderate, Conservative, Right Wing, Fascist. Both extremes are also referred to as Neo-Libs and Neo-Cons. Other political ideologies inside and outside of the spectrum are called Libertarian, Populist, Progressive, Reactionary, Radical, Anarchist, and etcetera. Imagine taking both ends of the straight line and making a full circle, where the ends now meet at the same place. Communism and Fascism are different names for the same thing, a totalitarian police state. They are not opposite extremes as we are supposed to believe, but in fact are virtually identical. Teaching the Political Spectrum: Providing a Vocabulary to Understand Political Viewpoints - www.lahapkido.com/teach.html. Directly opposite on this circle is the Centrist position, which is the "Phony Political Center" according to Robert Reich (former Sec.of Labor) who said, "The new centrism.... Wants to be as far as possible from any controversial position.... And it's precisely in this respect that centrism as a political ideal is most dangerous. For it suggests that politicians have no legitimate role as leaders of society, that they are mere conduits.... One cannot lead from the center because most voters are already there, and it is no great accomplishment to lead people where they already are. That's much more like pandering.... That's familiar politics to the legions of Washington's strategists and pollsters who make their livings charting and responding to such desires. But it's hardly how politics should be practiced in a deliberative democracy. Centrism is bogus." For more than excerpts see www.alternet.org/story.html?StoryID=11096. An article found in the LMP - www.london-morning-paper.co.uk/, is one example of how the figureheads of both parties are more similar than most would like to admit. "Bush and Clinton: Birds of A Feather" is about Clinton not only stepping forward to exonerate the Bush administration for manipulation of critical intelligence and lying to the world, but also subtly supporting the case for war. Both have used intelligence fabrications to sell and carry out their militaristic agendas. Clinton told Larry King, "You know, everybody makes mistakes when they are president.... The thing we ought to be focused on is what is the right thing to do now. That's what I think." Does anybody really care what he thinks? These guys wouldn't know the right thing to do if it hit them on the head, and even if they did know they wouldn't do it. The direct link to the article is http://yellowtimes.org/article.php?sid=1498. Aldous Huxley had this to say, "In regard to propaganda the early advocates of universal literacy and a free press envisaged only two possibilities: the propaganda might be true or it might be false. They did not foresee what in fact has happened.... The development of a vast communications industry concerned in the main neither with the true or the false, but with the unreal, the more or less totally irrelevant. In a word, they failed to take into account man's almost infinite appetite for distractions.... A society, most of whose members spend a great deal of their time.... In the irrelevant other worlds of sport and soap opera, of mythology and metaphysical fantasy, will find it hard to resist the encroachments of those that would manipulate and control it. In their propaganda today's dictators rely for the most part on repetition, suppression, and rationalization -- the repetition of catchwords which they wish to be accepted as true, the suppression of facts which they wish to be ignored, and the arousal and rationalization of passions which may be used in the interests of the Party or State. As the art and science of manipulation come to be better understood the dictators of the future will doubtless learn to combine these techniques with non-stop distractions...." "War At Home: US Domestic Covert Operations' by Brian Glick sums up the psychological tactics of propaganda, www.whatreallyhappened.com/RANCHO/POLITICS/COINTELPRO/ covert_cit.html. Key points are paraphrased as follows: Propaganda in theory and practice is to build credibility and authenticity, to persuade the enemy to trust his enemy. Most people associate propaganda with advertising and partisan opinion heard on talk shows (think of propaganda in terms of being the advertiser targeting gullible consumers). Advertisers want to sell something and advertising exists to plant products and services in the minds of the audience. Political commentary is often recognized as such and though the intent is to persuade its audience, the main purpose is to inform and inspire those already in agreement. Audiences are convinced and inclined to embrace the ideas of the speakers. More harmful types of propaganda are the types of communication not recognized as such. For example, there is false or incompetent news reporting presented as truth or objective fact, in order to produce an immediate reaction and sometimes hysteria, among large numbers of people. Another way propaganda can influence an unwilling audience is through the process of repetition. The sheer volume of threat warnings and diversity of sources involved, confirm staged fabrications based on lies but believed as truth, in people's minds. The resulting climate of fear makes it much easier to justify and implement rapid expansion of military powers, the defense industry, and other affiliations eager to jump on the profiteering bandwagon. Intensive long-term propaganda tends to be self-fulfilling and is designed to facilitate the development of a global US presence. There is frequent collusion between news media personnel and the FBI to publish false and distorted material, to sabotage legitimate dissent. Other types of propaganda are directed toward social behavior or group loyalties. The author refers to retired CIA chief Harry Rositzke, who describes the situation in his book "The CIA's Secret Operations: Espionage, Counterespionage, and Covert Action". During the fifties, these covertly sponsored activities sounded many of the themes permeating official and unofficial propaganda. Politics was reduced to simple formulas as foreign editors and columnists were recruited, newspapers and magazines were subsidized, and press services were supported. Propagandists ranged from paid agents to friendly collaborators and liberals to conservatives. Facts, themes, editorial outlines, and model essays were sent out to third world stations to be reworked for local consumption. Hot stories were published in friendly outlets and replayed around the globe, making certain the "proper ideas" were conspicuously aired. The audience is lulled into supporting something that otherwise would have been rejected and is systematically led to a particular set of beliefs. This is dangerous because the source of the ideology and motives of the sponsor are not known to the recipients. The message is made believable because it appears to come from within the target audience itself. This is what is known as "covert" or "subversive" propaganda and "black operations", which must be carried out by a secret agency to hide the actual source. Propaganda of this nature is usually long-term with the intent to achieve political changes, as part of a larger conquest called "political warfare" accompanied by diplomatic pressures against national leaders, economic actions, cultural intervention, and surveillance. This propaganda has a profound or even devastating impact on targeted peoples and is capable of manipulating its audience at the emotional level, to affirm collective inferiority and accept without reservation their absolute dependence. Pretesting propaganda messages on small groups to evaluate sociological climate, behavioral tendencies, and changes in attitude over time includes intimidating opponents, suppressing dissent, and censoring dissemination of competing ideas. A false authority creates the false impression that a particular set of beliefs is more widely accepted than it really is, while the tendency of the audience is to defend the propaganda being internalized and integrated. Social psychology lists ways that audiences can be deceived by propaganda seeking to exploit group consciousness, or group identity. They are more likely to accept an idea if they believe it was heard inadvertently in a matter-of-fact way. They are also more likely to change their opinion if they receive a message from a variety of sources that mutually reinforce one another, by repeating the same stories over and over. People tend to approve of a statement made by a so-called expert on the subject, or one who expresses an opinion with which the listener, viewer, or reader agrees. Another tactic used is incorporating opposing statements or arguments, in a way that tends to discredit the one saying it, while at the same time giving the impression both sides of the debate are being fairly heard. (Yet another tactic is to hypnotize the audience by speaking slowly and methodically, something Hillary Clinton has mastered. It is amazing that everyone can't see through the propaganda bombarding us from all sides, which is exactly how the globalists have succeeded thus far). Careerism, old boy networks, theories, and treatises help to perpetuate domestic covert action, as the operations are of value to political elites. Any social order based on inequality of wealth and power depends on political repression to control the disadvantaged masses. Under intense pressure to appear democratic, the federal government has become the main arm of domestic repression through a series of historical developments. Internal political conflict has come to focus mostly on issues of public policy. When it comes to full-scale strategic domestic counter-insurgency, only the "Feds" can do the job. The government can sustain its legitimacy, by making the victims of official violence appear to be the aggressors and provoke infighting among dissident movements, while promoting the US as leader of the "free world". Admiral James A. Baldwin wrote in 1989, "Warfare is often defined as the employment of military means to advance political ends.... Another more subtle means -- political warfare -- uses images, ideas, speeches, slogans, propaganda, economic pressures, even advertising techniques to influence the political will of an adversary.... Political warfare will be at the forefront of our national security agenda." Embedded in American folklore is a skeptical attitude toward elected officials. Mark Twain said, "I'd rather meet Satan and shake him by the tail, than any other statesman on the planet." John Steinbeck said, "All of our so-called successful men are sick men, with bad stomachs, and bad souls." Yet we are expected to respect and admire public officials for their credentials and politically correct views. Propagandists must understand the audience and learn how different events, situations, and images influence the day to day actions of the target group over time. Just listening to political pundits constantly misleading the public is extremely frustrating and depressing, not to mention looking at their smirking and brazenfaced expressions. They insultingly and inaccurately categorize and stereotype people, to plant seeds of strife. This is why everyone needs to educate themselves with how terms are being used and what they really mean. Support alternative news sources such as Infowars that inform with the truth and inspire from the heart. As Infowarriors, we must keep on getting our message out to our world. The hour is late and the window of opportunity is closing, so everyone who can still think for themselves needs to get involved in the resistance against tyranny. Our future depends on it. Former CIA Directors for the Clinton Administration, James Woolsey and John Deutch displayed their propaganda skills for the House Intelligence Committee, in the Intelligence Gathering on July 24th. A previous Prison Planet article, www.prisonplanet.com/analysis_louise_01_03_03_mockingbird.html, includes links for those interested in knowing more about Operation Mockingbird and CIA Media Manipulation. The more one knows about the CIA's covert terrorist activities, tactics of psychological warfare, control of the Media, and the FBI's Cointelpro covert activities, the more one can see through their lines. It seems like the voices of many high-level officials quiver in nervousness, when justifying their atrocious policies and deceitful actions. They know, that we know what they have been planning and doing, so it stands to reason they are uncomfortable in the spotlight, though they try to appear in control. Heck, they can't even keep track of all the lies, much less give a straight answer to a straight question. Hidden in plain view, psychological warfare tactics have become increasingly overt and it is obvious they are purposely taunting us. If lulling us to sleep doesn't work, then provoking us to react out of justified anger will give them an unjustified excuse to use extreme force. They are biting at the bit to round up non-conformists and haul them off to Amerika's concentration camps. A list of facilities and locations, as well as the Field Manual for Military Police Internment/Resettlement Operations, are provided for the reader's convenience in another previous Prison Planet article - www.prisonplanet.com/analysis_louise_200103_internment.html. People who have not lived under a totalitarian state do not recognize the warning signs or realize how dangerous and barbaric it is. The White Rose Society is a shining example of resistance to Hitler and the ruthlessness that the Nazi's showed when faced with any opposition. The White Rose began distributing anti-Nazi leaflets in 1942 and some fell into the hands of the dreaded Gestapo. The leaders and several colleagues were eventually arrested, convicted of treason, and sentenced to death by guillotine. Their death was the death of the "white rose" and www.whiterosesociety.org/ is dedicated to their memory and fighting the rise of the new fascists. "The True Legend of the White Rose" can be read with background music at www.geocities.com/Athens/Academy/1148/july8.html. It is the eighth chapter of "The Fight for Freedom: The Story of the German Resistance to Hitler" and the other chapters are accessible at the bottom of each chapter. The White Rose website includes the audio link to "Five Easy Steps for Turning America into a Totalitarian State" (click on 'George W. Bush and 1984: You Decide'). Also, be sure to watch - www.takebackthemedia.com/bushnonazi.html. "Dr. Zhivago" dramatizes many of the concepts described in this article. This great movie has been one my favorites since I saw the premiere on the big screen, at the Paramount Theatre in Hollywood, and many times on video since then. The cinematography is breathtaking and the musical score is beautiful, as the story itself is of historical importance. The book is even better than the film, which is to be expected as it is a masterpiece, written by Boris Leonidovich Pasternak - www.rjgeib.com/heroes/pasternak/paster.html. He was a gentle soul who loved life and hated brutality. Having lived through the violent upheaval and widespread police terror of his time, he was terrified of Josef Stalin. His writings prove there is a genius extant in all ages and all countries that can neither be extinguished by hardships, nor crushed by tyranny. Unremitting hardships in the lives of creative, free spirits often produce brilliant, immortal poetry. In closing, I would like to leave you with his words: Like a beast in a pen, I'm cut off From my friends, freedom, the sun, But the hunters are gaining ground I've nowhere else to run. Dark wood and the bank of a pond, Trunk of a fallen tree There's no way forward, no way back It's all up with me. Am I a gangster or a murderer? Of what crime do I stand Condemned? I made the whole world weep At the beauty of my land. Even so, one step from my grave, I believe that cruelty, spite, The powers of darkness will in time Be crushed by the spirit of light. The beaters in a ring close in With the wrong prey in view, I've nobody at my right hand, Nobody faithful and true. And with such a noose on my throat I should like to ask for one second My tears to wiped away By someone at my right hand. |
