Dr. Andrew Wakefield is being discredited to prevent an historic study from being published that for the first time looks at vaccinated versus unvaccinated primates and compares health outcomes, with potentially devastating consequences for vaccine makers and public health officials.
It is our most sincere belief that Dr. Wakefield and parents of children with autism around the world are being subjected to a remarkable media campaign engineered by vaccine manufacturers reporting on the retraction of a paper published in The Lancet in 1998 by Dr. Wakefield and his colleagues.
The retraction from The Lancet was a response to a ruling from England’s General Medical Council, a kangaroo court where public health officials in the pocket of vaccine makers served as judge and jury. Dr. Wakefield strenuously denies all the findings of the GMC and plans a vigorous appeal.
Despite rampant misreporting, Dr. Wakefield’s original paper (http://www.generationrescue.org/pdf…) regarding 12 children with severe bowel disease and autism never rendered any judgment whatsoever on whether or not vaccines cause autism, and The Lancet’s retraction gets us no closer to understanding this complex issue.
Dr. Wakefield is one of the world’s most respected and well-published gastroenterologists. He has published dozens of papers (http://www.thoughtfulhouse.org/publ…) since 1998 in well-regarded peer-reviewed journals all over the world. His work documenting the bowel disease of children with autism and his exploration of novel ways to treat bowel disease has helped relieve the pain and suffering of thousands of children with autism.
For the past decade, parents in our community have been clamoring for a relatively simple scientific study that could settle the debate over the possible role of vaccines in the autism epidemic once and for all: compare children who have been vaccinated with children who have never received any vaccines and see if the rate of autism is different or the same.
Few people are aware that this extremely important work has not only begun, but that a study using an animal model has already been completed exploring this topic in great detail.
Dr. Wakefield is the co-author, along with eight other distinguished scientists from institutions like the University of Pittsburgh, the University of Kentucky, and the University of Washington, of a set of studies that explore the topic of vaccinated versus unvaccinated neurological outcomes using monkeys.
The first phase of this monkey study was published three months ago in the prestigious medical journal Neurotoxicology, and focused on the first two weeks of life when the vaccinated monkeys received a single vaccine for Hepatitis B, mimicking the U.S. vaccine schedule. Vaccinated monkeys, unlike their unvaccinated peers, suffered the loss of many reflexes that are critical for survival.
Dr. Wakefield and his scientific colleagues are on the brink of publishing their entire study, which followed the monkeys through the U.S. childhood vaccine schedule over a multi-year period. It is our understanding that the difference in outcome for the vaccinated monkeys versus the unvaccinated controls is both stark and devastating.
There is no question that the publication of the monkey study will lend substantial credibility to the theory that over-vaccination of young children is leading to neurological damage, including autism. The fallout from the study for vaccine makers and public health officials could be severe. Having denied the possibility of the vaccine-autism connection for so long while profiting immensely from a recent boom in vaccine sales around the world, it’s no surprise that they would seek to repress this important work.
Behind the scenes, the pressure to keep the work of Dr. Wakefield and his colleagues from being published is immense, and growing every day. Medical journals take extreme risk of backlash in publishing any studies that question the safety of the vaccination program, no matter how well-designed and thorough the research might be. Neurotoxicology, a highly-respected medical journal, deserves great credit for courageously publishing the first phase of this vaccinated monkey study.
The press has been deeply misled in the way The Lancet retraction, and Dr. Wakefield’s mock trial, have been characterized. Led by the pharmaceutical companies and their well-compensated spokespeople, Dr. Wakefield is being vilified through a well-orchestrated smear campaign designed to prevent this important new work from seeing the light of day.
What medical journal would want to step in front of this freight train? Moreover, why now, after 12 years of inaction, did The Lancet and GMC suddenly act? Is it coincidence that the monkey study is currently being submitted to medical journals for review and publication?
We urge the media to take a close look at the first phase of the monkey study discussed above and to start asking a very simple question: What was the final outcome of the 14 primates that were vaccinated using the U.S. vaccine schedule and how did that compare to the unvaccinated controls?
The U.S. vaccine schedule has grown from 10 vaccines given to our children in the 1980s to 36 today, perfectly matching the dramatic rise in autism. The work of Dr. Wakefield and his colleagues deserves to be shared with the world to further, rather than censor, scientific progress.

Wakefield’s study involved 12 children. 12. Conducted in an entirely unprofessional manner. And though many have tried to duplicate his findings, NOBODY has been able to.
There is nothing DARING or BRAVE about a man who manipulated a study for money, nor is there in two people with zero scientific background espousing his errant findings.
Yeah, Big Pharma makes lots of money, but to cover up a conspiracy like some of you believe, it would require a massive world wide effort and involve every single credible scientist as well?
Is that likely? NO. More likely that the study was wrong, and that there is something else causing Autism.
If Wakefield was right, Autism rates would be declining over the last few years, NOT escalating.

I received 10 shots for all the innoculations feasible for overland travel to India, in the mid 1970’s: Typhoid, Yellow Fever, Diptheria, Malaria, TB, Cholera, the list goes on. Now for the last 15 years I’ve had Peripheral Neuropathy, which IS IN the same spectrum of definitively proven as vaccine induced illnesses, as Guillaine-Barre Syndrome or (GBS). However, I can’t prove that link to vaccinations, and no doctor has the fogiest dianosis or explanation of my symptoms which they can pass on to me. So, the debate remains wide open, in fact with good reason and with no room for validation for the above and following examples of Stifling of Dr Wakefield’s research & arguments:

Chuck you are totally wrong and here’s why: There is a huge reluctance to do controlled medical studies of any kind on children. Most of the medicines are just educated guesses, because doing a controlled study on young kids requires too much liability issues for the big Pharma groups.
That includes all these vaccines, and behavioral drugs that are being prescribed for kids, with the tragic thing being that it isn’t until way too late that they find out that they were wrong. In this case, since Pharma is the only group that ever has enough money to sponser the largest medical studies, then guess which outcome always happens? It’s the ones that make them the most profit, regardless of the science. And because the FDA is TOTALLY in the back pocket of big Pharma, any negative science is thrown in the final report, and very little investigating is ever done afterwards.
How can you argue though with the fact that autism rates have gone way up since these vaccines cocktails have been implemented? You can’t! And that is why this story must be read in that context. Jenny, and Jim Carrey are like myself the parents of an autistic child. And it is the worst feeling in the world thinking that you could have prevented it from happening, and all because you thought you were doing the right thing in protecting your kid from a disease, only to give them autism instead through these damn vaccines.
The evidence is clear in so many cases, that kids start acting very different then before they were vaccinated. And all Pharma does is deny that the vaccines are to blame.
Well tell me then, how is it that they can say that, when controlled studies on kids, are almost never done?
Now since this Dr. Wakefield has clear evidence in a monkey trial that the vaccines cause neurological damage, then the powers that be can only use the only that they have, which is their strong ties to the media, which they have used against this man as a means of character assination. This they will do to anyone that dares question their junk science, and threatens their illgotten gains form our guiney pig kids.

There is a curve that climbs upward at a steep angle. The curve is the number of vaccinations from 1960 to present day. The increase in vaccinations has sky rocketed. There is another curve that follows the first curve almost at the same angle. That curve represents autism, MS, rheumatiod arthritis, Parkinson’s,Alzheimers and a host of other not too pleasant diseases and disorders. All of the studies done were financed by or influenced by big pharma….. Biker

It IS good that Jenny McCarthy is taking a stand for reasonable transparency and debate in the medical field – just as Charlie Sheen has done for 9/11 – it is just unfortunate that these well meaning people no so little about the actual science behind either thing that they come off quite ignorant sometimes.
But the enemey of my enemy is my friend – so strange bedfellows or not – I’ll take these courageous allies who support Truth and Justice!

Thank- god for people like Jenny and Jim who stand up for thier child and certainly all of our children. Dr. Wakefied spoke to me years ago and saved my childs life based on his knowledge. Now you see them vaccinating children with all shots in Denver as a pilot program.God help us..Read what is going on in the UK the jig is almost up!!

Ruining their careers over this? PLEEEEEZZEEEE.. As a mom of 2 kids with Autism, I don’t agree on the vaccine link at all.. but rather the genetic, which has been proven.. (Think Medell’s Square). Some kids “have autism” and you know what??, it just “is.” If vaccines caused autism, then why are not all kids, who had the same vaccines as Jen & Jim kids had.. autistic? I don’t agree with McCarthy’s web site, what she purports to be “the cure,” etc.. If it worked for her son, great.. but all autistic children are individuals, and what works/causes autism for one, does not necessarily work/cause autism for all.. It is dangerous to generalize ANYTHING..

Is it not possible for both to be true. Some children are genetically inclined to have active autism from birth, and some children are genetically inclined to have it and its being triggered by these vaccines? As you stated its dangerous to generalize anything. Of course autism is not always triggered by vaccines, if it was the answer would be obvious. But it is apparent that vaccines do cause some illnesses and are a medicine that is based of very little testing. Caveat emptor.

and then of course you argue against yourself by saying what works/causes autism for one does not necessarily cause autism for all.
how has the genetic link been proven exactly? and how can we either prove or disprove the vaccine link unless they can allow some major testing of vaccinated/non-vaccinated kids?
doesn’t just the denial of testing raise enough suspicions? kind of like not being able to talk intelligently about 9/11, the moon landing, global warming, etc.
if they have nothing to hide then why are they hiding? and if they can win a debate then why can’t we have a debate?

You don’t need to know anything about science to take a view on the autism vaccine link, you just need to know how to add up. Where are the unvaccinated autistic people? They cannot be found. It is now a matter of urgency that there should be a properly managed study to prove that autism does not exist in unvaccinated groups. There are three millions in the UK from whom to search. Richard Doll forty years ago asked ‘why are nine out of ten cardio-thoracic patients diagnosed with lung cancer former smokers, when only three in ten of the population smoke’? His observations demolished the ‘good science’ of the tobacco companies that said there was no link!

The monkeys received mercury. That’s they key point. The HerpB vaccine has nothing to do with the autism unless it has mercury in it. McCarthy is a nitwit for only merntioning the HepB vaccine and not mentioning the mercury.
