Bush: Halt CO2 growth by 2025

President George W. Bush called for halting the growth of greenhouse gas emissions by the year 2025.

The United States is among the world's biggest emitters of heat-trapping carbon dioxide that spurs climate change. Bush has opposed setting mandatory caps, citing harm to the U.S. economy and inaction by other major producers like China and India.
