Man Who Got Too Close to Cheney Hauled Away

Comment: Just like the journalists who casually walked round the Olympics planting suspicious packages with a name tag which read 'Robert bin Laden' - this again highlights the fact that all the security is useless and has nothing to do with protecting anyone from terrorists.
Secret Service agents last night hauled away a man who got too close to Vice President Dick Cheney in a VIP area at Madison Square Garden.
Police sources said the 21-year-old man, who had a pass allowing him into the Garden, had either a knife or some kind of tool on him when he was nabbed as he tried to flee.
A second man, who also had a building pass, was taken into custody for carrying a balloon with fluid inside. Authorities were testing the liquid.
