Newsweek editor Robert J. Samuelson has slammed his own publication's global warming coverage as "fundamentally misleading" and "highly contrived," representing another massive blow to the credibility of the climate change cult. Samuelson was forced to respond to a Newsweek article last week that sought to portray the fight against global warming as a moral crusade characterized by a need to eliminate the influence of any dissenters to the explanation that man-made carbon emissions are solely responsible for climate change. (Article continues below)
Samuelson's caution in a climate whereby dissenters are being smeared as akin to holocaust deniers is welcome and again focuses attention on the fact that global warming, whatever its causes and consequences, has been hijacked as a vehicle on which to piggy-back political agendas that have nothing to do with saving the planet. Samuelson is right to sound an alarm bell as to the accuracy and integrity of Newsweek's climate coverage, for it was the same publication that warned us of the dire consequences of global cooling if mankind did not change its habits back in April 1975.
The discovery of this telling back-issue article was highly embarrassing for climate cult devotees because it provided a stark reminder that the temperature of the earth, and indeed the entire solar-system, naturally fluctuates wildly between hot and cold cycles and has done since time began, and long before the invention of SUV's. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The internal war taking place at Newsweek over opinions on global warming is reflected in wider media and academic circles where there is widespread discord about the causes of climate change and what governments should be doing to tackle it - a truth buried by the global warming orthodoxy who crudely claim there is a "scientific consensus" of agreement on the man-made explanation. ---------------------------------
