Letter: Paul only candidate able to fix health care Billings
Gazette As a health professional, I am very concerned about all this talk about universal, government-managed or "free" health care for all. Nothing is free. Someone ends up paying for it. And when the government is involved, we end up paying extra for more governmental bureaucracy and incompetence. While our current health care system is defective, too costly and needs real change, patients and doctors are the ones who should be in charge, not corporations, drug companies or government bureaucrats. Ron Paul, a physician, is intimately familiar with and knowledgeable about the pitfalls of both the present system and proposed big-government health plans. He is, therefore, the most qualified in this area to decipher and understand the totality of change required to enact an efficient and effective health care system. In addition, he is the only presidential candidate with a long record of protecting our rights to alternative natural health care and health freedom. He has authored legislation for the protection of Americans' access to natural supplements, natural remedies and treatments and has stood against increasing Food and Drug Administration encroachments of these rights for millions of Americans to decide for themselves and take responsibility for their own health care.
(Article continues below) In addition, he opposes forced vaccinations and mental health screenings, something the other candidates don't even mention. Ron Paul is the only presidential candidate who will not be bought out by the big drug companies or military-industrial complex. Let us put this good man into office and get his message out.
