13-Year-Olds Charged With Terrorism For Baking Cake

MARIETTA, Ga., Nov. 17 (UPI) -- Two Georgia middle school students were arrested for baking a cake with glue and bleach and then feeding it to fellow students, it was reported Wednesday.

The 13-year-olds handed out pieces of the cake Tuesday to students at East Cobb Middle School in Marietta, Ga., the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported.

At least 12 students were taken to a local hospital with stomach cramps, vomiting, nausea and diarrhea after eating the cake, a police spokesman told the newspaper. They were all treated and released.

The two 7th graders were charged with aggravated assault with the intent to commit murder, terrorist acts and interference with government property.

Officials said they had no motive and said it did not appear any certain students were targeted.

"They were offering the cake to anyone who would take it," a school spokesman said.
