Rice and the Bunker Buster Redesigners

It took two and a half years for the Bush administration to admit what some of us knew from the beginning—Bush’s invasion and occupation is about “redesigning” the Muslim Middle East and was never about weapons of mass destruction or democracy. “Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice said yesterday that it was always the Bush administration’s intent to redesign the Middle East after the September 11 attacks, which exposed a ‘deep malignancy growing’ in the region, and that the Iraq war was part of that plan,” reports the Moonie Times, otherwise known as the Washington Times. “Miss Rice, in her first testimony on Capitol Hill in eight months, refused to outline benchmarks for reducing the U.S. troop levels in Iraq.”

Of course, the Bushites don’t do “outline benchmarks” for withdrawal. In fact, they are inventing reasons to attack Syria, sicking their internationalist puppy, the United Nations, on the small and mostly defenseless country. As we know, and the neocons are not shy about telling us, they intend to “redesign” Syria, Iran, Saudi Arabia, even the most populous country in the Arab world, Egypt. It would be impossible to occupy all of those countries and “redesign” them. But then the idea here is not to impose some benevolent Marshall Plan and create democratic governments—rather, it is “shock and awe,” reducing Arab and Islamic culture and society to a smoldering shell, setting the clock and calendar to year zero. “Iraq was to the neocons what Afghanistan was to the Taliban: the one place on Earth where they could force everyone to live by the most literal, unyielding interpretation of their sacred texts,” writes Naomi Klein.

As if to demonstrate how serious the neocons and their fellow travelers in Congress are about the Kill Islam Master Plan, consider the following obiter issued by Sen. George V. Voinovich, Ohio Republican: “We have to level with the American people. This is another world war.”

“Unless we commit to changing the nature of the Middle East, and if we tire and decide that we are going to withdraw and leave the people of the Middle East to despair, I can assure you that the people of the United States are going to live in insecurity and fear for many, many decades to come,” Rice assured the Senate Foreign Relations Committee.

In other words, if the American people do not consent to surrender their lives, the lives of their children, and fork over billions of dollars, the government will continue its fake covert terrorist war, blowing up people and things, killing innocents and blaming it on Muslims. Rice can “assure” us of that much.

“We had to make a decision that we were going to go after the root cause of what caused September 11,” Rice told the committee. “So what I’m describing to you, Senator, is not what you voted for in the war resolution, but the broader strategy of the administration.”

In other words (in response to a question by Barack Obama), Rice told the Senate it was chumped into voting for the “war resolution” (a bit of nonsense—only Congress can declare war; it is not legal or valid to simply sign off on a declaration issued by the president or rather his neocon puppet masters) and she gave the senators a taste of the future—a “broader strategy” of attacking the core of Islam in the Middle East, redesigning entire societies by way of bunker-buster and cruise missile.

Rice said the Bushites plan to “clear, hold and build” against “the enemy’s strategy to infect, terrorize and pull down.” In other words, the terrorist strategy, devised in Washington and London, will continue, allowing the Bushites to build their long sought after bases, staging areas to “redesign” the rest of the neighborhood.

Provided with the proper context—easily discerned from the outside of Bushzarro world—one can translate Rice’s pronouncements. Barack Obama and Barbara Boxer cannot stop the Bushites, although ongoing investigations into Bushcon malfeasance may put a kink in the works. Let’s hope it cuts off the circulation to the heart of their wicked and sadistic project.

I’m not counting on it.
