At Least 30 Killed in Suicide Bomb Attack on Iraq Police Headquarters

At least 30 people were killed and another 70 wounded after gunmen and a suicide bomber attacked a police complex in the city of Kirkuk in northern Iraq, Al Jazeera TV channel reported on Sunday.

The gunmen stormed the police compound after a car bomb was detonated by a suicide attacker, the police said.

The TV channel quoted witnesses as saying the suicide bomber vehicle was painted to appear as though it was a police car, and the gunmen who sought to seize the compound were dressed as policemen.
