Barack Obama criticised for failure to signal change in foreign policy

Barack Obama is facing rising criticism from both the Left and the Right over his failure to signal change in his foreign policy.
On a range of issues, from Kosovo, China, Russia and Nato’s eastward expansion, and the Middle East, former White House officials and leading analysts are disappointed at how quickly the president-elect has moved to the centre ground since his election just a month ago.
“The tone, image and symbolism will be different, and he will have more interest in multi-lateral solutions [than George W. Bush],” said Doug Bandow, a former adviser to President Ronald Reagan. “But I don’t see evidence of dramatic change.”
Mr Obama has not shown much sign of appreciating that “we have entered an age where the US can’t dictate to the world any more” and that the US can no longer afford its global military role., Mr Bandow said.
Like others, he would like to see the new administration show signs that it will acknowledge that the US cannot be the world’s policeman, and that it will urge traditional allies such as Japan, South Korea and Europeans to stand up for themselves more.

“Pulling back is not popular among most of Washington’s elite, but in survey after survey it is popular among the public,” said Christopher Preble, head of foreign policy studies at the libertarian Cato Institute, who added: “Do we need so many troops in Germany two decades after the end of the Cold War?”
While Mr Obama campaigned on pulling troops out quickly from Iraq and promised to talk directly to America’s enemies, he is now retreating from both undertakings.

Obama is proving himself to be just another puppet of David Rockefeller. Brzyinski pulls the strings for Rockefeller because Rockefeller has not performed an ounce of labor in his life and will not start now at age 95.
Hopefully soon David Rockefeller contracts a horribly painful disease and dies a slow death.
He will then go to hell where I hope Satan makes his mouth the only toilet in heaven for eternity.

The really frightening thing is how much personal interest people, especially blacks and younger voters, have vested in this career politician. Thanks to this and other sites, alot of those people weren’t totally snowed, even some who may have voted for him thankfully remain dubious, but far more were completely taken in and they really do have a messianic view of this guy because alot of them, being first-time voters, don’t understand what politicians are doing when they promise you the moon. They simply don’t believe that the first black president of the party that Bush DOESN’T belong to could be so inhuman as to lie to them after the last horrid eight years… Like I said before, you will find that dissent from this President’s administration will be less tolerated than ever before, and considering how the last administration dealt with dissent early on, that means we have a big problem.

Certainly, taking issue with how the State Dept operates of important even more so if the U.S. under O-blah blah really wants the world to like us again. A good start would be for U.S. Embassies to start treating U.S. expats like real people. It has been a huge letdown to see the string of appointments to the new White House. How can we expect ‘change’ with the same old faces?

A. John Brown, (http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/aia/part4/4p1550.html), a white guy, risks his very life and livelihood in his (what must have seemed) lonely fight for abolition, which, being white, did not affect him in a practical sense. He could have said and done nothing and lived a very comfortable life.
B. Truther X risks nothing posting endlessly to message boards for seven years, working for and buying the products of those (corporate America) they think are in collusion with the 9/11 perpetrators and giving a portion of their income, via taxes, to the actual perpetrators (the U.S. Government), both of whom they believe are trying to kill and/or enlsave them. Please pardon me if I’m a bit underwhelmed by the truther conviction.

The fact that this guy kept Gates over, who was the founder of Al Quaida, Iran/Contra, the militarization of the Khomeni regime, etc. is a pretty good signal that we are in for more of the same and worse.
Many believe that the India attacks were false-flagged by the US in order to justify Obama’s stated intent to move on Pakistan. The Bilderburgers want Pakistan destroyed.
Don’t forget, Obama was chosen by the Elite to win this election, and has called for a ‘civilian security force’ at least as big and well funded as the military. Get ready for the stripping of our rights and a military state, both within AND outside of the US. Obama will usher in the NAU, the Amero and destroy what’s left of the American Dream.

It’s so cute to see the changeling’s cheeping like baby chickens (cheep… cheep). Protesting Obama’s abandonment of all his promises of “change”.
Of Course, they could have supported Ron Paul (the REAL candidate of change). They could have voted for Chuck Baldwin (who Ron Paul endorsed). OR, They could have joined our side while we were battling the GOP elite – who (by the way) engineered the debates and state conventions to exclude Ron Paul.
But NO, they refused to see the truth. They refused to support The Constitution. They even made fun of Ron Paul’s supporters!

It will be a cold and financially broke day in hell when the United States stops playing the role of the world’s policemen. Whoever appointed them the world’s watchdog needs to strip that away. The U.S. government does what it wants regardless of who it hurts, who it kills, and is only self-serving of its own needs. The American people know this, but are unwilling to take back their government. Why?
