Home » Globalization » Barack Obama: Your Children Should Learn To Speak Spanish

July 9th, 2008 at 2:27 pm
This I have to agree with. For homeland security purposes we should make sure our children can speak as many languages as possible. If a terroist were to make a threat in spanish or french no one around would know what they are saying. The more languages you speak the more intelligent you become. This only makes common sense. English is the priority language of this country and will always be, but American citizens are behind most other countries. Other countries speak more than one language. We are the only country as a majority that can only speak english. How stupid is that, with foreigners moving here and we won’t know what they are saying. THINK ABOUT THAT. USE YOUR BRAINS. LET YOUR CHILDREN LEARN AS MANY LANGUAGES AS POSSIBLE SO THEY CAN COMMUNICATE WITH OTHERS AND AT LEAST KNOW IF SOMEONE THREATENS THEIR LIVES.
July 9th, 2008 at 2:35 pm
Sharon, learning spanish has nothing to do with terrorist but more with the NORTH AMERICAN UNION! duh stupid.
July 9th, 2008 at 2:54 pm
Perhaps they should just learn to speak English?
July 9th, 2008 at 3:34 pm
Did I say terrorist had anything to do with spanish or any certain group or race? If you took it that way, I’m sorry. I making a statement that if any race or nationality were to threaten us more than likely we wouldn’t know what they were saying. I don’t call certain races of people terrorist. Terrorist can come in all races. My point is that this is 2008 not 1927. It’s time for americans to stop thinking that they should only speak english. That is very stupid in 2008. We should want to learn as many languages as possible. This will increase our intelligence level.
July 9th, 2008 at 3:43 pm
Carson you’re right they should learn english. English is the first language to learn in the United States. I’m not putting english down, but we need to learn more languages than just english. You would surely be qualified for more jobs and make more money. This would put our country ahead. I say learn spanish, french, japanese, chinese, arabic, etc. Learn as many languages as you can. Then the future generations would be able to communicate worldwide. That is why I said this would give us a higher level of intelligence. The thought that we should only learn one language and speak only one language is MIND CONTROL BY THE NEW WORLD ORDER. Think about it. This way you can’t communicate or understand the language of others. You can be told anything. This is important for our homeland security.
July 9th, 2008 at 4:24 pm
Obama’s right folks. Learning a second even third language will only enlighten you and expand your mind. Learning to speak Spanish on your own in this day and age can only help, not hurt. Maybe you can learn Spanish and then translate the Constitution for the immigrants in Spanish to get them on your side rather than threatening them with arrest and deportation. At least you’d be doing something productive.
July 9th, 2008 at 4:55 pm
Sharon, learning another language cannot make you more intelligent, just more knowledgeable. It also sends the message that you are ‘obedient’ to the powers that be. It is not possible to become more intelligent through gaining more knowledge, although if it was your aim; then you should instead do a heavy metal cleanse. I personally wrote an article on the topic of learning Spanish here:
http://hencor.com/sarah/index......829-001406
Feel free to read it and comment.
July 9th, 2008 at 5:51 pm
I know both English and Spanish fluently, but I think people who live here in the U.S. should be able to speak at least some English. Who cares if we are behind other countries (in terms of language learning). In Europe, there are many different groups living in much closer proximity that speak different languages. In the U.S. (at least until recently) English was the official language over a large expanse and thus it is not at all like the situation in Europe where people of different languages live in close proximity. I think people should learn other languages if they choose to do so, but it should never be forced upon them. Knowing more than one language does give you a different perspective and is mind expanding in that regard. It’s sort of like living in two worlds at once — is the best way I can explain it. But, in that sense, it may likewise make it harder for people to assimilate if that is a nation’s goal.
July 9th, 2008 at 5:54 pm
Learning a second language (or third, etc.) is indeed very good. But why ought we learn “Spanish” specifically as a second language? This is retarded. There are far more beautiful & interesting languages I would rather learn. Right now I’m learning German, and would like to learn Italian, Scots Gaelic, Irish, French, Swedish, and others before I would learn Spanish. The whole point of learning a language is to further explore & immerse yourself in culture. Personally I don’t care about Spanish-speaking cultures, so why would I speak Spanish? …I think the intent of Obama’s suggestion here is to further homogenize society, and get us ready for this NAU, and eventual NWO. Notice the wording he uses, “You need to MAKE SURE your child can speak Spanish.” ..The question “why” comes to mind. This is bullshit. People can learn whatever additional languages they want. If I want to learn German & not Spanish, then that’s what I’ll do.
Tod und Feuer zur Neuen Weltordnung!
July 9th, 2008 at 6:12 pm
Sharon stated:
“If a terroist were to make a threat in spanish or french no one around would know what they are saying.”
BlueMts stated:
“Sharon, learning spanish has nothing to do with terrorist but more with the NORTH AMERICAN UNION! duh stupid.”
Sharon then states:
“Did I say terrorist had anything to do with spanish or any certain group or race? If you took it that way, I’m sorry. I making a statement that if any race or nationality were to threaten us more than likely we wouldn’t know what they were saying.”
So Sharon, Blue did not say you said anything about race, then you contradict the first sentence in your response by saying “that if any race or nationality”
So which is it? Why is it important to know what someone says? Are you someone who makes a living off turning people in after listening to their conversation.
Simple solution is offer no accomadation, learn the language, and please secure the borders. But Blue is right, it is all about the NAU!
July 9th, 2008 at 6:27 pm
I am not sure how old some of you are, but I am 54 years of age and live in So Cal. Back when I was in grade school, specifically 4th, 5th, and 6th grade and 7th and 8th in Jr High, spanish was mandatory. Basically forced upon us by our legislators. I passed those 5 years of classes, but resented it and thus retained most of what I learned.
In 7th grade I was introduced to French for one semester, which they stopped afterwards. However, this language I was really interested in learning, so in high school I tried to pick that class as one of my elective classes and never got it and I tried in all of my 8 semesters.
My question is who is going to pay for this?
July 9th, 2008 at 7:11 pm
I am not obligated to speak anything but English and I shouldn’t have to learn Spanish when I live in America. No doubt it may be beneficial to learn Spanish if I was living in Southern California, which I have (San Jose, Santa Barbera), but there should be no obligation. This whole “embarrasment” complex that you have Mr. Obama is not shared by me. Basing domestic educational policy on a childish embarrasment is no way to be a politician, let alone my President. Trying to appeal to the hispanics in this country through that vehicle was a shallow desperate attempt to get some votes. Here’s to hoping you don’t get elected…
July 9th, 2008 at 7:41 pm
Speaking a foreign language will expose a person to new viewpoints, concepts, frames of reference, etc. In short, to be a truly educated person, you probably should endeavor to learn at least one foreign language. I think people should choose a language that speaks to them. I speak German (BA, MA in Germanic Studies). German is a language of high culture – science, philosophy, literature, etc.
That being said, we shouldn’t learn a foreign language just to cater to illegal alien squatters.
July 10th, 2008 at 12:03 am
I’m from Europe (Sweden), and understand Norwegian and Danish by default, similar to how Dutch and Germans languages overlap, and the Latin languages. That’s one thing, and no reason to be “embarrassed”. But I also speak English (obviously) German, Spanish and Italian (and understand some French and Portuguese). Not because it was mandatory, but because A. it was offered. B. business tradition required that you speak English and German. Spanish was my own choice.
I agree with Mr. Obama, although it was somewhat poorly worded, that Americans should learn foreign languages. The languages most important to Americans are Spanish and Mandarin. We shouldn’t learn it to be able to speak with immigrants (? — now how silly would that be…), but because our neighbors South America speaks mostly Spanish, and since our biggest business partner is China.
Doing business with other countries in a mutually beneficial way, requires language skills and cultural knowledge. As simple as that.
July 10th, 2008 at 1:11 am
Learning a lamguage is one of the most difficult skills. Hence it is worthwhile. Would you rather your kids studied media studies and business? Why do you think that American ‘education’ is the joke of the world>?
July 10th, 2008 at 1:17 am
I am an Icelandic citizen, living in Peru South America.
For me it is plain logic for people to understand what their neighbours are saying.
I started out with Icelandic of course.
… then…
English
Danish
Faroese
Norwegian
Danish
Swedish
German
Italian
Spanish
Portuguese
… and still learning.
The poster 1776blues made me laugh… he “resented” what he had been “forced” to learn.
Come on. How bad can it be to LEARN something? Is it better to be ignorant and unable to understand anything? When Americans come to Europe, they can only speak “Meercaan”… and then they behave as if they own the world… simply because they don’t understand how to behave and how to respect other people’s languages and customs.
If Obama can get at least one more language into the school system of sickomerica, it would be a positive thing. Knowledge is power, and without power…. hey… maybe it’s best that you sickomericans just STAY with your own language that is extremely simple and easy to learn, and let everyone else know what you are saying and thinking, while you will not know anything about anything that’s going on around you. I think that would be the best outcome for everyone!
American ignorance is known world wide… just continue on that same path, and the world will be a safer place!
July 10th, 2008 at 1:20 am
Sorry, double Danish was not on the agenda… just my bad editing that left the second one in.
July 10th, 2008 at 3:13 am
I wonder if it has ever occurred to the multi-multi-lingual superior Euro folks who posted here that perhaps Americans do not want to end up like Europe, in an unidentifiable mass of socially engineered states? To the fellow Americans embracing mandatory learning Mexican Spanish – you must live in a hole to not realize that element of harmonization with a NAU. The schools pimped that agenda in the 70’s when I was there and I laughed, now with my kids I still laugh but its actually mandatory starting in Kindergarten in California – even in our private school – they’ll learn it alright but its nothing more than a cultural agenda and a huge waste of time. It’s an immigrants responsibility to fit into America – not reshape it to their liking.
July 10th, 2008 at 6:02 am
I speak x86 assembly, C/C++, Pascal, Lisp, Java, Perl, Python, Javascript, Ruby, C# and Spanish.
July 10th, 2008 at 7:12 am
Learning a foreign language should be a personal choice. I am an American born and raised in the United States. The language spoken in the United States is English (American version, not British); that is what I learned and that is what I speak. When you are home or among your friends and family, by all means speak the language you feel most comfortable with; it’s your right. However, when I am conducting business I expect the person I am conversing with to speak the dominant language of that country. I do not go to other lands and demand they speak english. For all of you who think myself and the rest of America should learn Spanish or any other language, to you I say PISS OFF!!! If you don’t understand that, get an American friend to translate! This is America so SPEAK ENGLISH or go back home. Do not come to my country and tell me what speak you arrogant asses. We allowed you to come here so please PRETEND you owe us the goddamn common courtesy to learn the language!!
July 10th, 2008 at 7:16 am
Ignore trausti’s boasts…..I’d be amazed if he could speak in any way fluently half of the languages he lists. But the point of learning a language isn’t to become a ‘world citizen’, its to excercise your brain. Im English and the same thing thats happened in America is happening here….DUMBING DOWN. Learning a language used to be compulsory but now its a choice; and one that almost no fourteen year old takes. No instead they opt for sociology or business studies or other subjects that require no brains and no effort. When are we all going to wake up and realise that its in the NWO’s best interests to keep the population stupid and docile…..
and by the way, its not just languages, its maths and science too. check out the old maths syllabus from 40 years ago and the present day syllabus. You’ll start realising that we are thick as pigshit, compared to our ancestors…….
July 10th, 2008 at 7:43 am
Sharon, so you like having the government telling you what to do? I don’t. Yes, I took Spanish classes in primary school, but wtf does speaking Spanish have to do with putting a roof over my head and food on the table? I’ve never had to use it as a wage slave. Get your priorities straight. And don’t you dare tell me how to raise my kids. Worry about your own damn kids.
Sharon, you are not in danger of terrorists, this is only a nightmare you’ve been sold and you fell for it. If you are worried for your personal safety, so something about THAT. Learn a martial art or carry a weapon.
If you a worried about a foreign invasion, I hardly think Spanish is going to stop it. In fact, it could be argued that the more Americans that learn Spanish, the more we’ll enable the current invasion to continue.
July 10th, 2008 at 8:30 am
Us Americans have a worldwide reputation of being lazy, stupid, and arrogant and even though this is a stereotype there is plenty of truth to it. While most of the world speaks at least two languages, Americans only speak English, (and, frankly, not even fluent English)
The public school system in America sucks, so if you truly want to educate yourself just for enlightenment don’t wait for the public schools, take the initiative and do it yourself. You can hire a tutor, buy cassette tapes, or even go on the internet in order to learn a new language.
July 10th, 2008 at 8:33 am
Obama is an asshole! So is McCain!!! I dont want to learn Spanish or French!! They should learn English!!!!!! This is our Country Dammit!!!!!!
July 10th, 2008 at 9:22 am
I don’t get the argument that the more we LEARN something, the more “open to invasion we become.”
How does that work? Aren’t the stupid, the ignorant the ones who always get dominated?
It has already been said. Knowledge is power.
Did you know the Japanese make English a mandatory subject? So do the Koreans, and now the Chinese. And they’re not worried about an “invasion,” or that their “culture will be erased.”
That kind of isolationist, xenophobic thinking is what gets countries invaded, bombed and taken over.
I say it’s about time America accepted the facts and made having to learn a foreign language compulsory. The rest of the world does it, and I refuse to believe that America is simply that stupid.
Whether you like it or not, whether this NAFTA thing happens or not, nomatter how much you wish it weren’t so, Mexico is right across the border, and as long as this is true, there will always be a Mexican presence. No amount of willing it away will make Mexico disappear. Us learning Spanish will only make us more powerful in more ways than one. I say it’s good for America. Refusing to learn a language on either side necessarily creates this language barrier. Mexican immigrants can hide behind the “no speeko Heenglaze” and always claim they “didn’t understand.” So when you say “chinga to madre” you guys will both be on the same plane. “Papeles o la migra” is quite easy to learn, actually. It makes America more powerful.
“THEY should Learn English” sounds real nice. But is wishing something to be so, kind of like wishing Mexico wasn’t there, going to fix anything? Or should the smarter people take initiative and lead by example?
“English is the language of the land.” Actually, never was. Cherokkee, Sioux etc. were the languages of the land. And at one point, it was Spanish in the areas of California. What, are you going to replace San Francisco with St. Frances? San Jose with St. Joseph? How rid of Spanish do people intend to make America? You think words like “Texas” “Colorado” “Arizona” and “New MEXICO” are of English origin? Words like buckaroo, lariat etc?
I don’t agree with NAFTA etc., but I do agree that Spanish wouldn’t be a bad thing for our nation to have to learn. Whether we ever become one with Mexico and/or Canada, Mexico will always be there, and there will always be a Spanish Speaking majority.
Whoever said that multilingualism has made Europe and Canada bad places? Only lazy AMERICANS who grope for an excuse not to have to learn anything else. Yes, Europe is in a political tangle, but really, that has nothing to do with the languages. Language wise Europe is GREAT.
The more intelligible we are to each other as humans, the more there is understanding. What a novel idea!
LANGUAGES LEARNT:
English
Spanish
Japanese
Currently tackling:
Mandarin
On tackling list:
Cantonese
Korean
French
Italian
Portuguese
German
July 10th, 2008 at 9:49 am
Learning a new language in school I think should be compulsory as to introduce children to new cultures through language but I dont think people should be forced to learn language just to accomodate immigrants who refuse to learn English.
July 10th, 2008 at 9:55 am
LOL.
They want you to learn Spanish because of the NAU The Norht American Union they want to create!! Canada, U.S. AND Mexico will be ONE soon.
That is your “CHANGE” !
And more war and false, bigbrother-state and flagg attacks is the “change” you want ???
Bill Clinton stood for change too – and now the NWO is rising.
Stand up and spread peace and TRUTH, dammit!

Obama is an ass. When are the citizens of this country going to wake up? We cater to these illegals with free education, medical care and everything else. It’s time the American people stand up and hold this government accountable for their actions. They have completely destroyed this country, but the avrage American only worries about what time their favorite “reality” show comes on. People, ignoring the real reality will not make it go away. It’s sad to say,but when you finally wake up it will be too late.
July 10th, 2008 at 12:39 pm
To respond to Joe in CA,
Your argument that China, Korea, etc. require their students to learn English is not valid. Here is why. The U.S is not directly bordering their country, and our citizens do not have more rights then theirs when we are in their country. BIG difference.
Here in the Land of the Oppressed, Mexico is our bordering neighbor and their citizens can sneak into our country, get free health care, make money without paying taxes, and most get off scott-free when they are pulled over or arrested. Alex and the gang have many articles and interviews proving how many times that police officers, especially in states close to the Mexican border, are told to let illegal immigrants go.
So you suggest I should learn to speak Spanish in order to help comfort even more the illegal and legal immigrants who are not appreciative enough to eat from the hard earned taxes I pay?
I certainly wish every human being had the capability to make a decent wage, live in decent conditions, and be able to raise their family in a healthy, clean, and fun environment. But charity starts at home. It’s outrageous that we worry about the lifestyle the illegals are running from as a way to justify their free handouts, but we have homeless adults, teens, and even kids running the streets, unaware of where their next meal comes from.
If I learn Spanish, it would be to surprise Mexican immigrants who find it so funny to make snide remarks about me in another language when I walk by because they are too afraid to say them to my face. What a jaw-dropper that would be to respond back in Spanish with a harsh remark of my own!
Note: I do not intend my post to view all Mexican immigrants as freeloaders. There are immigrants who come to this country legally and do learn English and do work hard and pay their fair share. And that’s all I think any other U.S. citizen can ask. After all, that’s how 95% of current American’s ancestors started out.
July 10th, 2008 at 1:28 pm
Per my last post, a correction has been made in this paragraph:
So you suggest I should learn to speak Spanish in order to help comfort even more the illegal and legal immigrants who are not appreciative enough when they eat from the hard earned taxes I pay?
July 10th, 2008 at 1:34 pm
In response to those who say we should be forced to learn Spanish, I would just say that as a fluent speaker of both English and Spanish myself, forcing people to learn Spanish in the U.S. is a bad idea. This is because it will discourage people from assimilating (and this goes beyond language and also touches upon cultural and political traditions). Don’t we want those who come here to learn our political traditions and about the Constitution and all of that important stuff? If we force Spanish on students in the public schools, that will be a big step in discouraging people who come here from learning about our government, a government which is far different from the civil law systems (as opposed to common law) that exist in most other countries in this hemisphere. I agree that it is good to know more than one language. But forcing people to do so is a big mistake. Those who know more than one language fluently will know what I’m saying when I say that knowing another language is like belonging to a whole other world and culture. If assimilation is our goal, forcing Spanish (or other languages on people is a bad idea).
July 10th, 2008 at 2:51 pm
I had a choice to learn a 2nd language. In fact I had a choice of WHAT language to learn or French, German or Ukrainian. I have also taught myself ALS(American Sign Language) though a majority of people say it is not a language. The problem is the whole assimilationist propeganda that the US shoves down peoples throats. Canada on the other hand works on diversity and, all things considered, we’ve been doing pretty good.
July 10th, 2008 at 2:59 pm
How can some of you people be so worried about terrorists and homeland security on the one hand, but espouse to 9/11 conspiracy theories as on Prison Planet? If 9/11 was a conspiracy, the terrorist threat is clearly exagerated, if not minor. That is contradictory thinking.
July 10th, 2008 at 4:45 pm
We can learn to speak Italian…like Chico Marx. LOL
July 10th, 2008 at 7:03 pm
Hmmm, from the anti-education postings here, I would say it’s not too surprising why the rest of the world regards Americans as so stupid.
No wonder the rest of the world is just passing up the USA as Americans wallow in a pit of self-contrived stagnation.
Learn whatever language you want, but at least learn something that makes you a more capable person.
That’s the gist of all this: becoming a more capable person.
It’s scientific fact that the more a brain is used, the more powerful it becomes, as through use, the neurons establish more and better connections to each other.
Besides, it’s in your own vested self-interest and self-survival to use your brain as much as possible. If you don’t, predators that did make the effort to use their brains will use you as prey. And you won’t be able to protect yourself from them, as the act of predation usually happens in a fairly short period of time. You defintely are not likely to have enough time to learn what you must to protect yourself and those you care about.
Learn what you must so you can defiantly say, “I’m *not* a dummy and you’re *not* going to use me as prey!”
July 10th, 2008 at 8:38 pm
Well, we should learn other languages. However, I doubt it is truly for the intent of world understanding and education, like Mr. Obama proposes.
It is more so for the establishment of the NAU. That he brings up Spanish and french, two major languages of Mexico and China.
July 10th, 2008 at 11:53 pm
Of course we should learn Spanish. Mexico and South America are regions adjoining our great country the USA. Of course there may be other factors that would spur arabian obama’s thinking, but why not? If I ever had to fly the coop, I would go to Mexico. What better way to communicate with the southies than to learn their language? Mexico and South America is beautiful country. Take advantage of it. We should never give up our sovereignty but remember, we aren’t the only language in the world. Every survivalist should know a little rudimentary Spanish. Why not?
July 11th, 2008 at 3:18 am
To get a masters degree in a science students used to have to demonstrate proficiency in either German, French or Russian as these languages were the languages in which most useful scientific material were written (PhDs used to require 2). If I were going to learn another language it would be one of these so I could maybe go up, not down.
July 11th, 2008 at 7:22 am
‘How can some of you people be so worried about terrorists and homeland security on the one hand, but espouse to 9/11 conspiracy theories as on Prison Planet? If 9/11 was a conspiracy, the terrorist threat is clearly exagerated, if not minor. That is contradictory thinking.’ Al
The reason they are worried is cos if 911 was a conspiracy then the EXTERNAL terrorist threat is exaggerated, even though the INTERNAL terrorist threat (government sponsored terrorism) is underrated. So people are worried and scared that the government may attack its own population. This is not contradictory thinking. What is ridiculous though, is suggesting that cos 911 wasnt done by 19 arabs, no one should be worried, the threat being ‘minor’.
Hope that clears things up for you Al.
July 11th, 2008 at 7:27 am
oh and by the way…
I thought you all learned spanish in the US anyway?
Surely other languages should be encouraged in a full education. Thats what school is all about.
The only subjects i object to are ‘citizenship’, and all those new cacky courses at uni like ‘gender studies’ and ‘American/European’ studies. What a load of arse!
July 11th, 2008 at 8:48 am
How many languages does Barky speak? Doubletalk for sure..that’s one..
July 11th, 2008 at 8:52 am
The Spanish gave us the Inquisition, bull fights, and Conquistadors. Latin America gave us human sacrifice and drug cartels.
The nations of Europe gave the world Colonialism and two unnecessary World Wars during the past Century. The Europeans have nothing to teach me, and their culture contains nothing that I want to learn.
If I’m going to learn a foreign language, it will be one I’m actually interested in, such as Sanskrit.
July 11th, 2008 at 8:56 am
Al: I am NOT at all worried about ‘Terrorists’ and Homeland Security, and I never was. The US, Israeli, and British governments are the REAL Terrorists.
July 11th, 2008 at 9:18 am
I`ll learn spanish after you pry my rifle from my hands, get it globalists ?
July 11th, 2008 at 9:48 am
my child should learn to speak english first… then spanish if my child wishes to do so… why not chinese,,, half the world speak chinese and indian…
i had to learn japanese or german in school…
i thought we won the war against germany and japan… but i still end up speaking there language… ko-nich-iwa…. say-onara…
so looks as if they conqured australia, since i ended up speaking japanese…. no joke… german or japanese was the only choice..
July 11th, 2008 at 11:11 am
Oh jeepers creepers Greg Feg, The Spanish brought the true religion to the blood thirsty cannibals of the Americas. Only the Spanish could do it, thanks to years of hardering under the yolk of the Muslim infidels. If it is lawful and necessary to remove from existence the life of a malefactor who murdered, how much more is the soul of a person worth than a life? The Inquisition sought to stop the loss of souls to hell. If a person chooses to deny the truth (an issue all 9/11-truthers would appreciate) that’s fine. But keep your heresies to yourself. The minute you start to infect the body of people in your state with your public heresy, no, uh uh, thats more than just a sin, it’s a crime.
And the nations of Europe brought true religion AND taught the heathen, pagan tribes to become civilized (a form of nation building that doesn’t exist anymore). Civilize them and help them to save their souls, yeah, colonialism is actually pretty good, especially when compared to Police State Amerika 2008.
And you can thank World Zionism and Illuminized Freemasonry (puppets of the Zionists) for most of the worlds woes these past 300 years or so.
This stuff is so easy, I wish I was getting paid for it.

‘The Spanish brought the true religion to the blood thirsty cannibals of the Americas. Only the Spanish could do it, thanks to years of hardering under the yolk of the Muslim infidels’ -Howard.
I think this is a warped understanding of history. ‘The bloodthirsty canibals of South America’ and ‘the true religion’???!!!??? reminds me of the ‘evil terrorists’ and the need to spread the new true religion of democracy and freedom (at gun point). There isnt that much difference between the arrogance of the conquistadors and the neocons. They both believe they are representatives of ‘truth’ and ‘justice’ and therefore have the divine right to massacre the ‘primitives’ of other countries.
Perhaps the Spanish were just ashamed when they met these ‘primitives’ who actually believed passionately in their gods. Perhaps the primitives exposed their own shallow worship of gold and power. That may have been why they had to be exterminated. There is a lesson from history here….

Does that Obamination speak Spainish and French himself? He probably can’t. He was so stupid that he didn’t even know what Memorial Day was for when he gave his speech for it in New Mexico. He wouldn’t even be able to speak English if there weren’t people telling how to say things in his ear-piece. God, how I hate him!

Hey Sniffer,
There are two kinds of history; Christian and Satanic, Christ and anti-christ, truth and lies. Is this a hard choice? Mexico was a WORLD MODEL for education, medicine and advancement upon their entrance into the civilized world. But you’ll only find that in old Catholic books. In fact find the book “Blood-Drenched Altars”; then go rent “Apocalypto,” and tell me that except of a handful of people trying to make a profit, MILLIONS OF SOULS had at least the opportunity to find salvation. If the few thousand savages refused to be civilized and were killed for their lack of obedience, don’t you think it is at the very least presumptous and at the very worst, blasphemous to say God could not or would not find a way to prevent their deaths? GOD USED THE CONQUISTADORS TO HIS ADVANTAGE AND TO FURTHER HIS PLAN.
The minute you stop believing the secular, aetheistic, satan-inspired brainwashing of the freemasonic educators version of history, then you’ll start to find a whole treasure chest of truth.
If you are a 9/11 truthers, you should naturally have some affinity for the truth. After all, there is more truth than just 9/11 truth.

I’m afraid that don’t wash with me Howard!
I would say that you have a black and white mentality. Christ/satan, civilized/primitive, true/false, aetheist/believer. These are the antagonisms that seem to sum up your posts. This is a tragically small world to live in. You also take up the old motto of ‘Slaughter the lot of em and god will recognise his own’. A common excuse for religious genocide.
As for apocalypto…great f@cking movie! But hardly leaning sympathetically towards the catholic faith. When the last scene comes, and the boat of priests arrive, our hero has a choice, the boat or the forest. What does our hero choose? He chooses the forest.
The film is about how societies decay from within. They don’t die from external causes (i.e the arrival of the conquistadors) but from a self corruption. The corruption is simply summed up as FEAR. Our own cowardice is the cause…

Howard,
I think the true wording is: THE POPE USED THE CONQUISTADORS TO HIS ADVANTAGE AND TO FURTHER HIS PLAN.
Mexico is the Pope’s world model – Feudalism and poverty amidst opulant churches.
PS – Ever heard of the Council of Trent (1540-1562)? I think Martin Luther summed it up at the start of the reformation.

I’d have to agree with Bean on this one.
And while we’re on the subject I seem to remember the Nazi’s making a deal with the pope. Just one more reason to see the catholic church in its glorious cowardly splendour.
The moral to this story is not atheistic. But it does show organised religion for what it is. Just another scam, run by cowards. True religion comes from the courage of sticking to your own beliefs concerning the divine.

Yea, and so should Obama. Since when does La Raza mean “the people?” Or was that a politically-calculated “mistake?” Did he just figure that all us dumb non-Hispanic, English-speaking slobs wouldn’t know the difference?

The reason for our governments NON EXSISTANT stance on illegal immigration is simple, North American Union. The United States Government, like the Mexican Government doesnt care about its citizens. Both governments are ran by Serial Killers, Arms Dealers, and Drug Cartels.

I think sharon’s comment is the most hilarious one here… we should learn other languages so we can hear the terrorists speak their plans in public… as if someone plotting something will yell it in the streets.
Get real!

We had better watch out or we’ll be sent away with the rest of the patriots for violating th “Government Knows Best” Act.

treason is death, you hit the nail squarely on the head.
This should give everyone a good idea where Obama stands on Immigration and the North American Union. I hope Hillary’s prediction (prayers) come true if you catch my drift.

I really enjoy this website, but I think the comments and article are off base. Only speaking one langauge, and limited at that is Orwellian. Part of the reason we as americans are so quick to be duped into going to war is because of the langauge barrier. Maybe instead of watching the rhetoric on Fox News and CNN build and then watch the bombs fall we should have learned a little arabic to better understand our “enemy” and we would have found there was no enemy there. Why is it so Many christians will support the killing of arabs while waving their flags on the way to NASCAR with their little magnet stickers on the back of their car saying Support Our Troops. All the while never really doing anything to support them. We have been hearing the drumbeats of war for over 7 years. As a Christain who is supposed to be into love and understanding why wouldn’t you learn arabic? it’s just stupid not to. You have the internet our first offensive should have been an army of volunteers writing letters and emails in Iraq and iran, participating in the dialog. This is how we can place pressure on both our governments to calm the rhetoric. We don’t go to war with people we have an affinity for – you create affinity by increasing communication and the best way to increase communication is for the truly patriotic american to learn the langauge. Even if you won’t learn arabic there are plenty of people in the mideast who speak english as a place to start

You always support your troops. Always.
What you must change is WHO OR WHAT is directing them, especially the Marines. The Marines are the hardest to convince because they know what it means. I say KILL THE MESSENGER. Not the Troops.
