Barak In Washington To Lobby For Iran Attack

Israeli war minister Ehud Barak will visit Washington next week to meet with top U.S. government officials and President Bush in what some are suggesting will be the final planning session in anticipation of a military strike on Iran.
Barak will hold talks for three days with Defense Secretary Robert Gates, Vice President Dick Cheney, Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, National Security Adviser Stephen Hadley and UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon - as well as U.S. President George Bush.
Barak’s visit will also precede a tour by Israeli military chief of staff Lieutenant-General Gabi Ashkenazi, who is set to meet with Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Adm. Michael Mullen.

The trip follows Mossad chief Meir Dagan’s visit to Washington during which he met top intelligence officials.
“The visits of the Israeli officials came as an intense debate continued to rage inside the US administration between those who favored military action, led by Cheney, and those opposed, led by Gates,” according to a Jerusalem Post report.
The talks arrive on the back of two missile tests on behalf of Iran, with a third rumored to have also just taken place.
Far from showcasing Iran’s deadly capability, it appeared as if one of the tests actually went wrong.
Defense analyst Mark Fitzpatrick of the London-based International Institute for Strategic Studies (IISS), studied photographs of the missile launches and came to the conclusion that they had been doctored.
“It very much does appear that Iran doctored the photo to cover up what apparently was a misfiring of one of the missiles,” said Fitzpatrick.
Responding to the tests, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said today that the limited range of Iranian missile technology, which is restricted to within 2,000 kilometers, proves there is no justification for a US missile defense shield to be installed in Europe.
“The tests in Iran confirm that Iran has missiles with a range of up to 2,000 kilometers and confirm… that a missile defence shield with these parameters is not needed to monitor or react to such threats,” he said.
Rhetoric about the Iranian threat, as well as a propaganda assault on behalf of the corporate media, has reached a crescendo over the last two weeks, but forecasts of military action have been plentiful for at least three years though have remained unfulfilled.

Alex Jones I hate you, you bugger. I turned the TV on this morning to see what the rest of the world was putting forward as news. Now that my eyes are open I got so freakin’ upset I nearly clobbered my tube. I tried watching one of my favourite serials and saw immediately the mental conditioning that was being surreptiously being slipped into me old noggin. When you know the truth it is really the only thing that is satisfying to the soul. But, that commodity is more precious, expensive, and rarer than purple diamonds. At the end of July Iraq will sign an agreement which will give them normalized relations with the U.N. and the agreement will give the U.S President authority to defend Iraq from all threats which the U.S President perceives viable. Once it is signed the U.S President can with unequivocal action defend Iraq…… So for the next 3 weeks Israel is making it clear that they are going to attack Iran in concern for there own protection and then after the Iraq and U.S agreement is signed Israel will attack. The stage is then set for the U.S to legally defend Iraq and enter the U.S into all out war against Iran…. If Russia sits idle there is hope that it will be swift and powerful and favorable to the U.S and the world. If Russia takes up Iran’s defense it could mean the start of a nuclear war. It would truly make the earth “a prison planet”…. A New World Order….. These people have been at war for thousands of years. Since recorded time began they have been at odds with each-other. The entire middle east could the f…ing garden of eden and they would still find a reason for killing and waging war. And the worst part of it is that we, the USA, are only over there because they have natural resources that we, our government, wishes to control and exploit!

Congress has the legal power that resides in the US Constitution to enact The Articles Of Impeachment for these very reasons.

Six top people seen in three days. Seems like one for the morning and one for the afternoon for each of the three days.
That’s some intensive sales pitch which is what is meant by `lobby`, but actually methinks Barak will have with him five copies of detailed instructions drawn up by his own staff in Israel for the Americans to follow. No American planning input required.
The UN Secretary General has no need of this detailed knowledge, but will be briefed that action will occur before the Presidential election so he can mentally prepare as UNSG to defend the indefensible.
The initiating event has been the sticking point for a long time as it has to be believed by enough of the American public that the Iranians fired the first missile, but after 7 long years of many false flag ops, how many still believe the official story ?
If the US of Israel pulls one, the anger at the fraud might be as great as doing a pre-emptive strike. So, do the pre-emptive strike and present it as necessary to prevent an imminent nuclear first strike by Iran, and it will be the job of ABCNNBCBS to sell this incessantly in the lead up.
Which way will US of Israel choose ? I think the pre-emptive, as discovery at having done a false flag and murdering thousands of your own American citizens will carry a graver penalty than doing a pre-emptive. It is obvious to any thinking person (obviously excluding yourself) that by removing Sadamm Hussein and replacing him with formally Iranian based Islamic political parties has greatly strenghened Iran, which is the main existential threat to Israel. The reason the United States began to arm Israel after the Yom Kippur war has to do with the US vs. Soviet Union balance of power in the middle east. Anyway if your theory was correct, the US would have not placed an arms embargo on Israel in 48, or hesitated to recognize Israel in 48, and would have overwhemingly supported Israel from its inception. The failure to find weapons of mass destruction in Iraq has led to a close scrutiny of the role of intelligence agencies in both the United States and Britain. As Brigadier General (ret.) Shlomo Brom, points out, Israeli intelligence, which was in full agreement with American and British intelligence estimates, has, however, remained “in the shadows.” General Brom, a senior research associate at Tel Aviv University’s Jaffe Center, calls for an inquiry into the performance of Israeli intelligence agencies. In an article titled “The War in Iraq: An Intelligence Failure,” first published in “Strategic Assessment,” General Brom makes three key points: (1) Israeli intelligence agencies failed because they did not realize that Saddam Hussein’s main goal was survival; (2) Israeli intelligence tends to adopt the worst-case scenario; (3) Inflated threat assessments exact a heavy price.

I have a business associate in Iran and we talk at length of all this Israel/US “get everybody/kill everybody” KRAP. We discuss how the “coalition of the willing” have all but destroyed the ancient culture in Iraq, wiped away all of their historical artifacts, demolished their infrastructure, how the use of depleted uranium munitions are disfurguring the new borns and will do so for years to come. Now thats what I call nation building! We discuss how Iran may come to the same end. We also asked each other “for what purpose”. He tells me that the people are very afraid of what might come to the region. They want peace not war. They want to trade for goods, not be sanctioned. They don’t want to invade anyone, they don’t want to kill anyone, they don’t want their children ripped apart, burned, poisoned and mangled for life…they just want peace. They just want to live their lives.
Why doesn’t the big tough ‘ol USA and their little snarly “poor me” schnauzer Israel go after China or Russia? Whatsa matter tough guys???? NO BALLS???…pick on the little guy…yeah thats the ticket. The same “coalition” is doing a great job of NOT defeating the Taliban in Afghanistan (you know, those terrorists with state of the art rocks and sticks that live in caves. Rick…good post. It’s nice to see that there are some people on this website that actually think for themselves, rather than posting hate filled nonesense. Remember it’s the Governments in all cases that are responsible- not the people of Iran, or Israel, or the US or Canada (unless by their inaction and conformity). I wish there were more thoughtful individuals like yourself serving the cause of Truth rather than some of the crazy ones that talk about reptiles/thought control and make us all look bad. Even Alex Jones would be smart to stay away from some of his more inflammatory comments and issues, although I do envy his enthusiasm.
Anyways, just thought I’d put in my 2 cents for a smarter discussion on the website.

What are Iran doing in responce to this? They must be surely aware that US, Israel .etc. are planning an illegal attack on their country. Should’nt they be publicly speaking out, declaring they have good intentions? Making it almost impossible for Bush to justify a war. Testing missiles just seems moronic to me, they are basically inviting the corrupt media to use it to their advantage.
