Biden: Israel should accept ‘nuclear’ Iran

The US Democratic vice-presidential candidate Joe Biden has advised senior Israeli officials to come to terms with a ‘nuclear’ Iran.
In a clandestine meeting with unnamed Israeli officials, which was partially covered by the US Jewish Army Radio, Barack Obama’s vice-presidential nominee said, “Israel will have to reconcile itself with the nuclearization of Iran.”
According to the Israeli newspaper Haaretz, Biden, a six-time Delaware Senator and chairperson of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, told the “amazed” officials, “It’s doubtful if the economic sanctions will be effective, and I am against opening an additional military and diplomatic front.”
Biden has been a Senator for Delaware since 1973, and is running mate to Barack Obama in the race for the presidency of the United States.

The pro-Israeli Senator also said that Israel is America’s biggest ally in the Middle East and its strategic alliance has allowed the US to deploy fewer troops and warships in the region.
Iran says its nuclear program is only for civilian purposes but the Israeli regime and the US accuse the country of seeking nuclear weapons.

No sense going to war over a nuclear Iran, which they are only using for power stations as they have stated time and again, but the West does not believe them. No wonder a lot of Muslims have such a low opinion of the Western powers! Duh. Thank you Biden for saying the right thing at the right time. Israel is going to have learn to stand on their own two feet and quit talking trash to other countries and expect the US to bail their behinds out of trouble.

Jeez, if I had to deal with neighbors like the ones Iran has to deal with, I’d want nukes too.
(AND if Iraq HAD nukes, 4000+ U.S. troops and around a million Iraqis would still be alive today).

I agree with Nescio, if we pull away from Israel’s stand on Iran’s nuclear desires, we will all pay a heavy price. The president of Iran said that paradise would come when Nuclear war destroy’s a third of the world population. That is a paraphrase but very accurate to his statement. What does a oil rich nation need with Nuclear energy? If Hussein Obama and Biden are elected, it is set in stone we will be swept up into World War lll. Or we will rollover and just simply give way to the Russian imperialism. This is where the entire Iran problem comes from.

It appears that Biden is the first one to stand up and point out the obvious. This is a far cry from “bomb, bomb, Iran.” This statement needs to ring loud, and most people in the U.S. should stop fearing to say so. Iran seeks nuclear power as an energy source; Israel went behind the world’s back and produced nuclear weapons; have yet to officially acknowledge there existence; nor is a party to nuclear treaties Iran is willing to be party to. This over-accountablity of Muslim states seeking nuclear power for energy versus a non-accountable, armed and threatening regional power, which states is not a threat to humanity, but has a UN Resolution rap sheet that begs to differ. 5pillar.wordpress.com

I saw the same story in the Jerusalem post. While I was there I noticed that this newspaper is LOADED with anti IRAN propaganda. It amazes me to what length the Zionists will go to brainwash their own people. It sickens me as to how Much bullshit is printed in that paper. They have banners there and polls bashing Iran right on the site.

Some people use their nuclear weapons for self defense, and others will try to use their weapons as leverage for continued terrorist threats. Some people need nuclear weapons for obvious reasons, and heaven help the entire world if a country like Iran gets one.

So much propaganda flying around in all directions it’s hard to know what’s real. Why would Iran want nuclear power? Because someday, just like the US which was once the worlds leading exporter of oil, their supplies will peak and decline. They are rationally planning for their country’s energy future just as we should be. Moreover, Iran is within their rights under the NPT to develop nuclear energy. Israel is not a signatory to that treaty. Does Iran desire nuclear weapons? Most likely they do, as they are under threat by a nuclear-armed Israel and they have seen what happens to oil-rich nations like Iraq who do not posess the nuclear deterrent. Ahmedinejad is a tool, but he is not the one holding the reins of power in Iran and soon he will be replaced with someone more restrained and diplomatic. I’m not an Obama-Biden supporter, but I do believe Biden is sincere in his statement. Israel’s desires will not be the driving force in American foreign policy in the future as they were under the Bush/Cheney regime.

look guys. this is good. maybe you dont like biden. who cares? we need to prevent an escalation which leads to wwwIII. i know that we all have our prejudices. some hate the dems other hate the republicans, but we need to step back from the brink of war and a furthering of our police state at home. biden and obama are more moderate then their opponents….i like this site because of the interesting info and its given me a new perspective. i dislike many dems like pelosi or lieberman, but though i am opposed to some of the big government, the foreign policy of obama/biden is clearly safer then what the mccain administration might bring. cfr? ok ok….but the cfr and these shadowy string pullers are not completely monolithic. they have their divisions as well. i supported ron paul, but i also think biden and obama would mean an easing of tensions, which is good.
