Pilotless planes used to track the Taliban could soon be hovering over our streets, it has emerged.
Remote-controlled drones are already used widely by the military. Now ministers believe they are likely to become ‘increasingly useful’ for police work.
Armed with heat-seeking cameras, the Unmanned Aerial Vehicles would hover hundreds of feet in the air, gathering intelligence and watching suspects.
In theory, their advantages are clear. They are cheaper and quieter than conventional helicopters, can circle their target for hours without refuelling – and they don’t get bored on long surveillance missions.
However, their use is likely to further fuel concerns about our march towards a Big Brother state. Britain already has more CCTV cameras than the rest of Europe put together.
More than four million closed-circuit TV cameras cover the streets; cars are monitored using cameras that check registration plates and a new law will see footage taken of shoppers buying alcohol.

There are drones overhead in Britain now. I have heard them, and they take longer to pass than normal aircraft, emmitting a sound more akin to remote control planes than a normal aircraft.

I was watching the show Rookies about rookie cops one day. (usually I can’t stand cop shows, but this one shows rookie cops on their first day, it’s kinda funny- they f--- up a lot! Also it helps to understand the mindset of police, you get to see first hand the training ie; brainwashing in action!)
One of the new cops was tracking down a suspect who fled.
Then they cut to, a hellicopter overhead. The hellicopter pilot had a heat seeking camera and they found the guy hiding under a house!!!!
They showed the image of him on the heat seeking camera and you could see an outline of the structure of the house and clearly see the red heated image of the man hiding in a ditch that went partially under the house, but you could see his whole body even thopugh half of it was under the house!!
I remember thinking to myself, if the authorities are arrogant enough to show this type of technology being used on people in real world application,
What do they really have at their disposal?????!!!!!

I’m more concerned about the THREE blackhawk helicopters that have been hovering over out neighborhood all morning… taking very low flies, with fully armed blackhawks, so close to my house that you can see the machine guns, turrets, etc… They were so loud and took such a long time to survey the neighborhood, that I was able to get some footage on my cell phone.

The National Guard here has a helicopter with FLIR system. They have a dedicated crew who’s full time job is flying this aircraft around the area. I asked the pilot what they are doing and he said ‘drug interdiction.” Now first off, what the f$*& is the military doing police work? Where I live is a rural sparsely populated state that is hardly a center for drug production and the need for a dedicated aircraft and crew for this purpose is absurd. The towns population is only around 70,000. I have seen the aircraft hovering over the city for extended periods. I really believe they are performing heat scans / surveys.

This happened at around 10:30 am the first round, and 11:00 the second round… large, blackhawk helicopers, doing surveillance on the average America citizen. We live very close to the Airport in Hickory NC… and have NEVER had helicopters running this close, or this slowly over our property, and our neighbors… This was in the Longview area, and the helicopters were so close to the ground, I could have taken them out with a machine gun… and they were going so slowly…that troops could have been dropped out.. it wasn’t just a quick run through, it was more than likely a infrared scan of the property, doing a so called drug search… or checking out how many people were in each house with a heat scan… to get an estimate of the people in the area, they need to pick up in the coming months.

Police have heat sensor cameras that look for rooms with alot of lamps for growing POT, I don’t think they can detect guns yet, as far as the Military, they probably have surviellance satellites following us around already for years.
