Pay special attention to
* Section 3 which is the definitions portion of the bill-read in it’s entirety.
* section 103, 206 and 207- read in it’s entirety.
What it Does:
* Legally binds state agriculture depts to enforcing federal guidelines effectively taking away the states power to do anything other than being food police for the federal dept.
* Effectively criminalizes organic farming but doesn’t actually use the word organic.
* Effects anyone growing food even if they are not selling it but consuming it.
* Effects anyone producing meat of any kind including wild game.
* Legislation is so broad based that every aspect of growing or producing food can be made illegal. There are no specifics which is bizarre considering how long the legislation is.
* Section 103 is almost entirely about the administrative aspect of the legislation. It will allow the appointing of officials from the factory farming corporations and lobbyists and classify them as experts and allow them to determine and interpret the legislation. Who do you think they are going to side with?
* Section 206 defines what will be considered a food production facility and what will be enforced up all food production facilities. The wording is so broad based that a backyard gardener could be fined and more.
* Section 207 requires that the state’s agriculture dept act as the food police and enforce the federal requirements. This takes away the states power and is in violation of the 10th amendment.

(USDA) in 2000 and fully effective in 2002, synthetic fertilizers and pesticides and antibiotics may not be used in raising organic foods, and the use of irradiation, biotechnology, and sewer-sludge fertilizer is also banned. Food whose ingredients are at least 95% organic by weight may carry the “USDA ORGANIC” label; products containing only organic ingredients are labeled 100% organic.
Proponents of organic food claim that it is more nutritious, safer to eat, and usually tastes better because it contains no synthetically compounded fertilizers, pesticides, herbicides, hormones, medicated feed, or antibiotics or chemicals used in food processing (see also organic farming); these claims are disputed by conventional-food growers and processors. Organic foods have become steadily more popular as the public has become more concerned about health risks associated with chemicals in food products. Organic produce is now available in many food outlets, including major supermarket chains. Organic food is generally more expensive because organic farming requires more manual labor and attention.

I knew sooner or later there would be an attack on organic foods because they are not full of the chemicals needed to fulfill the eugenics vision of depopulation, sickness and disease. Anything good for people will be illegal, period.

yes sir you better buy your heritage type seeds now…stay awy from those hybrids…yea that corn sure looks pretty…but not much nutrition…lots of starch…and it wont grow but once…dont ask me how they did it…but if you drive through corn country…youll see these weird looking corn plants every now and then..I call it bastard corn..its some seed from the year before…itll grow a little…you might even get a small ear…but thats the way hybrids are…its all the same tomatoes ..anything hybrid…I do know why they do it so they can control the food…the farmer used to put up about 10 % of his crop for next years seed..now they have to buy it every year…so stock uo on heritage type seeds these you can grow year after year…and plant anywhere you can…Ive got a small garden….getting ready

I have actually read the bill, and, guess what, it doesn’t say what these right wing nuts say it says. Does that surprise anyone?
I realize that the purpose of this site is to get everyone on the side of the Republican Party, so that we can continue to send America to the crapper. It’s time to stand up for America.
I, for one, would like to know when the food coming into this country is from Commie China. I realize that there are many big business people that don’t want you to know that. That’s why they support this website.

I think you may have missed something. Didn’t you catch the news a year ago that the Feds were going to put massive restrictions on raising and selling livestock? Didn’t you hear about the “satan seeds” Monsanto is promoting? Didn’t you hear how those same satan-seeds are causing widespread havoc in India, thereby causing a 20,000 percent, give or take, increase in farmer suicides? Didn’t you see an article recenting indicating how the Feds are going after natural food co-ops, and worse, going after companies that sell natural products? Didn’t you know that one of the B vitamins was being “copyrighted,” under a different name, thereby allowing the “copyright” holder to force that particular vitamin out of the market, except under it’s own label?” Have you ever heard of flouride, mercury and the other dozens of poisons we are being bombarded with?
Is this a conspiracy theory to you?

But the wording of the bill could lead to the regulation of fruits and vegetables sold at the local “Farmers Market” and for personal use if they decide to. Just depends how aggressive they want to be.
(c) Regulations- Not later than 1 year after the date of the enactment of this Act, the Administrator, in consultation with the Secretary of Agriculture and representatives of State departments of agriculture, shall promulgate regulations to establish science-based minimum standards for the safe production of food by food production facilities. Such regulations shall–
(1) consider all relevant hazards, including those occurring naturally, and those that may be unintentionally or intentionally introduced;
(2) require each food production facility to have a written food safety plan that describes the likely hazards and preventive controls implemented to address those hazards;
(3) include, with respect to growing, harvesting, sorting, and storage operations, minimum standards related to fertilizer use, nutrients, hygiene, packaging, temperature controls, animal encroachment, and water;
(4) include, with respect to animals raised for food, minimum standards related to the animal’s health, feed, and environment which bear on the safety of food for human consumption;
(5) provide a reasonable period of time for compliance, taking into account the needs of small businesses for additional time to comply;
(6) provide for coordination of education and enforcement activities by State and local officials, as designated by the Governors of the respective States; and
(7) include a description of the variance process under subsection (d) and the types of permissible variances which the Administrator may grant under such process.

Alex has the power to stop these bills.
National Animal ID (NAIS) has already been passed but as not been fully implemented.
NAIS can still be stopped; Derry Brownfield knows the people that can make this happen if Alex can find the time.
These bills are a continuation of the command and control infrastructure started by NAIS.
Alex can stop these bills by planting a seed in the groups and organizations by directing/encouraging them to action.
See these groups need the national exposure that Alex can give them and we need the grass roots activism that they have to put pressure on their state legislatures.
The New Hampshire state sovereignty resolution failed because Alex didn’t have the time to bring on the show Gun Owners of New Hampshire http://www.gonh.org

I have also read the bill, and while it doesn’t specifically come out and say organic farming
will become illegal, it is a massive step toward Draconian regulation of all food production in
this country. It is all about incrementalism, the MO of the NWO.
Also it usurps State’s rights in determining their own food policies. That is clear cut tyranny
and in direct violation of the 10th amendment.
Everyone needs to read this piece of trash, then call the Legislators listed at the beginning of the bill and voice your opposition.

The bill is monstrous on level after level – the power it would give to Monsanto, the criminalization of seed banking, the prison terms and confiscatory fines for farmers, the 24 hours GPS tracking of their animals, the easements on their property to allow for warrantless government entry, the stripping away of their property rights, the imposition by the filthy, greedy industrial side of anti-farming international “industrial” standards to independent farms – the only part of our food system that still works, the planned elimination of farmers through all these means.

The bill doesn’t ban Organic Farming, specifically or by inference. Why not quote the provisions. I have been called “stupid” twice now within the hour, because I do not participate in the “group think” that this site propagates.
How long will it be before I’m banned from this site. Can’t let the lemmings hear another opinion, can they? This site is doing a hatchet job on Obama, and frankly, he wasn’t even my first choice for President. And I realize that prisonplanet probably doesn’t like the fact that this bill will provide some inspections and oversight on food coming from commie China, and Mexico, we can’t have that, can we? Better to die from foreign food, isn’t it?
My question is: “Whose side are you on?” And read the exclusions on the bill, and you’ll find that organic gardening is not banned. You can plant what you want in your back yard. The purpose of this site is to stop Obama until the new Bush or Cheney can take over and give us 8 more years of decline, while building up commie China.

Well, you really can’t lay blame here. Current “blame” policy” would involve in the US that either the Democrats or Republicans are to blame. Both are complicit in creating the circumstances for the current problem. Why, you might ask are both parties complicit? The answer is that greed rathter than representation played a major role in decision making. We have had campaigns financed by coroprate America for quite some time, if your major contributors have a desired outcome, then they will continue to achieve results if they contribute to the party that represents their interests, in such a way they could easily and effectively buy off both parties, and it seems that that is what they have done.
Most Americans associate with a political party, not for moral means, but because it advances their own financial position. If you think that you vote morally, take some time to evaluate by yourself your true intentions, most of you with a degree of honesty, will find in your hearts that the moral dilema stands behind the financial dilema in importance. Be honest to yourselves. It’s also self reinforcing. I live comfortably on much less than many Americans, because I have decided that I don’t need all of the excess. But, a lot of Americans, who have indulged in a lot of excesses, feel that it is their due, even if “their” due was achieved via a HELOC, they were keeping up with and possibly exceeding the Joneses, while the Joneses were trying to one up their neighbor. Botton line is that corporate America saw that competition with the neighbor as being a place that they could make money, and they made a bunch. And, while the whole hyperinflated system is crumbling around middle America, they are too busy trying to find neighbors that they are “doing better than” than to see that they are being taken by both democrats and republicans for not only every taxable dollar that they ever make, but the taxable dollars of their unborn chiildren and grandchildren. While you are attempting to provide your kids and their kids with the best possible future, you are unknowingly depriving them of that future, because you have been indoctrinated into believing that as long as you do better, dress better, live better than your neighbors…you are successful. Wake-up America, the neighbor that you once strived to one-up, will be the one who in some way helps you through the times to come, and you will be that to your neighbors. I think soon we will all find that our communities are much more valueable than we once thought, we will literally bridge the gap, and not think of ourselves as better off, or think of our neighbors as better or worse off, we may have the opportuity to develop legitimate and lasting relationships that are not based on prejudgement. Do what you will, but if you jump on this train now, I think you will be much better off than if you jump on this train a year down the line. It’s all about honesty and transparency, and a type of morality that each and every one of us knows in our souls.

What he ment by decline was treasonous trade policies that create economically self defeating conditions for america. The destruction of tariffs and the implimentation of free trade with communist china, india, ect. all led to a condition favored by republicans, more so then democrats. Trade imbalance!

None of this takes away any state power whatsoever. Any laws written for criminal purposes, as clearly specified in the United States Constitution, mandates serious repercussions. Now comes the times that try men’s souls.
I can’t see how the government would even bother to interfere with private gardens. It would not, however surprise me they would try though. Yes it is time for gorilla gardening. Grow hemp for paper, cloth, seed for nutrition and tell the feds in D.C. (district of crimminals) to go to hell.
The time has come to marginalize the federal government.
We can no longer sit idly by while those in Washington sell themselves like prostitutes to corporate power mongers and destroy what’s left of this nation for the sake of their own enrichment and that of increasing corporate power. Stop buying goods from these corporations. It’s time for people to begin with the farmers and convince them to use seeds from other than Monsanto. There are a number of sources for both organic and non hybrid seeds. This way we can begin to defang the corporate serpent.
I hope more people begin to awaken to the increasing government tyranny…..this summer may be along hot one, especially if we make it hot for Washington.

I’m vegan and eat almost exclusively organic food, so I’d have a very serious concern if this bill was in any way against organic farming or unfairly siding with factory farms and the Monsantos of the world – but in my reading of the bill, it simply does NOT. Its main purpose is to ensure the safety of domestic and foreign food products, and secondarily to assist and train States to ensure food safety (it would help states, not take away their power). Sensationalist but inaccurate headlines do not help this site achieve any meaningful impact against the many real threats we face from our elected gov’t.

When reading these ‘Bills’ – you must have discernment along with the facts regarding Albert Pike’s instructions. They’re being followed. Do your homework, get rid of the political right and left ideologies and zero in on the center. Like I said, do your homework – look up Monsanto for start. So, what’s this law to do? If you read the proposed law, it requires inspection and regulations of foods from commie China coming over here. My only criticism is that I would require the costs of such inspections be paid by the foreign nations that want to import their food into this great nation.
Now, that’s not an interpretation. That’s a fact. It also requires country of origin labeling on food. That’s not an interpretation. That’s a fact.
Of course, this site doesn’t want commie Chinese food inspected or labeled. After all, if that occured, some American farmers might sell more food. Better to destroy American agriculture along with American industry. In fact, most of you wingnuts probably believe commie China isn’t communist.
But, will prisonplanet stand up to protect America and her children against commie Chinese food? of course not. Better to lie and say this bill bans organic gardening and organic agriculture, which of course, it does not.

Moving on it seems to me that the FDA could implement the proposals in this bill. I don’t see why it is necessary to spend more money and create a new government agency to make our food safe. Obviously this country has much more critical issues at hand and I doubt this bill ever makes it out of committee.
For those of you seriously concerned about the passage of this bill these 39 representatives are currently deliberating the bill.
