Bloomberg Misquotes Ron Paul Seconds After He Speaks
Congressman calls for less regulation, caption states he wants more!

Another embarrassing corporate media faux pas was revealed when, during an interview with Congressman Ron Paul, Bloomberg put up a caption seconds after Paul called for less financial regulation, claiming that he had called for more.
During a conversation about the Madoff scandal, Paul was asked if the SEC should be shut down, to which he responded, “It’s proven it’s a total failure, it isn’t a lack of regulation, every time a problem comes along we put on more regulations.”
A few seconds later, a caption appeared on the screen which stated, “Breaking News: Paul Says We Need More Regulation, Calls SEC ‘Inept’”.

This was a total misquotation and mischaracterization of what the Congressman said. He had stated a minute earlier that the only thing that required regulation was “the counterfeiting of money,” referring to the Federal Reserve’s relentless printing of dollars, but the caption implied that he had called for regulation of the SEC when he had in fact called for the opposite.
Paul later said that more SEC regulations would only “compound our recovery,” again expressing his opposition to regulations.
The air head host then engaged in double-think by claiming that regulation of the financial system was working but that it had not been enforced, begging the question, as one You Tube respondent commented, “How can someone claim regulation is working AND that it is not enforced? …The two are contradictory.”
To any rational thinking person this is a contradictory statement, but the corporate media is hell bent on regurgitating the talking point that the financial crisis, created and made worse by the elite, will only be solved by giving more power and control to that same elite.
The drumbeat for more “regulation” is so incessant that Bloomberg were apparently happy to take what Ron Paul said and turn it around 180 degrees in their favor by flashing up a ready made slogan, a completely dishonest maneuver but one performed out in the open without a care for accuracy or integrity.

Yes, Bloomberg is a shill for the elite, but they’re trying to play both ends against the middle. What will happen if/when their lawsuit for disclosure of bailout money is successful? The fraud is there for all to see, if only they would look. Two trillion difference in what the treasury reports (T-bonds), and what the primary dealers claim they sold. Conterfeit bonds sold to our good friends overseas, small wonder china quit purchasing and invested the cash at home, paying in dollars from phony treasuries. Ron is a good man but too invested in his singular goal of hard money/end the fed. A true leader will see much further and deeper. So many deceptions, it is almost unfathomable. Marx called for our destruction through economic war, our currency, and then revolt. Looks like someone studied his theory.

Perhaps I should clarify myself. When I speak of Marx and revolt, I can see we are economically destroyed, which will lead to riots/revolt but those who perpertrated this will produce a leader of the most common sort, a person of morals and empathy, by whom they shall continue their dominance. I love Ron Paul and he is right on 99 percent of issues….but Wall Street DOES need more regulation.
Regulation means someone is enforcing the rules and overseeing a bunch of Corrupt Wall Street bankers… If we had more regulation we might not have had ENRON/WORLDCOM or Madeoff style scams. Sorry but Ron Paul is wrong on that one.

John, let me try and explain why Ron Paul is right. If the SEC starts investigating everyone in Wall Street yet another big government program will have to be started in order to pay the investigators money and of course put someone or a group of Congressmen in charge of it. This will create more of the same spending in Washington which has gotten us in to quite a debt. What he is promoting is that people with investments be more careful and pay attention to what your investing in, instead of building another government agency to handle that for them. We all know almost all government programs run in the red.

as far as our constitution being inspired by divinity, it is all about context. God in the sense they use, I propose can be anything you designate as GOD… Cristianity or other religious sects have no priority in the document, GOD is simply there to give us humans a #1 to our existence, and establish that a man is sovereign because his rights are ordained by whatever he chooses to designate as GOD.
I’d wager if you reject the notion of a GOD granting your self-evident rights, government becomes your #1 and your rights granted by your government, a very fascistic relationship.

In response to #33 in reference to the Consitution not being inspired by Divinity is foolish indeed. Take a look at history my friend…Every man that was involved in writing the Constitution were ALL Christians and based their lives on their beliefs, and the beliefs of 99% of the people at that time, which WAS Christianity. I’m not saying that the Constituion is a “Christian document” but when you look at Freedom of Religion, make no mistake about it, it wasn’t referring to ALL religions, it was literally referring to Christianity mainly and people’s right in worshipping God so freely. They DID NOT have that right back in Europe where they were oppressed and persecuted for their beliefs, and sometimes killed as well.
Think about this for a second…Literally everyone living in this country at that time were Bible believing Christians. Buddhism, Hinduism, Islam, etc. were religions that were NOT practiced or common at all. It would be literally unheard of for someone at that time to be anything other than a Christian. That’s just the way it was. And to say that the most important document ever written in this country’s history had absolutely no divinity inspiration whatsoever is obserd.

Hey Robert C, I am not sure that it is relevant whether RP is a freemason. It may be useful to know but I too believe he is an honest and decent man. I also believe he shares many of my beliefs about tradition, religion and war. I think he’d make an awesome president and I hope he starts right now for the 2012 Ron Paul for president campaign.
