Continuing his long-running advocacy for a war against Iran, John Bolton said on Fox News today, “Diplomacy is finished.” Bolton said there are only two options: targeted military strikes or full-scale regime change. He added:
I think regime change would be preferable because I think that would lead to greater stability in the region as a whole.

Justin Logan comments, “I have an eerie feeling that I’ve heard this somewhere before, but I just can’t place it…” How about just a few reminders:
President Bush, 2/26/03:
Acting against the danger will also contribute greatly to the long-term safety and stability of our world.
Vice President Cheney, 8/26/02:
Regime change in Iraq would bring about a number of benefits to the region. When the gravest of threats are eliminated, the freedom-loving peoples of the region will have a chance to promote the values that can bring lasting peace.
John McCain, 2/14/03:
[O]nly a change of regime will make Iraq a state that does not threaten us and others, and where a liberated people assume the rights and responsibilities of freedom. … Not only would deterrence condemn the Iraqi people to more unspeakable tyranny, it would condemn Saddam’s neighbors to perpetual instability.
Despite his unceasing advocacy for war, Bolton is always quick to remind his audience that he finds war detestable and “deeply unattractive.”

Home » World News » Bolton: Regime Change In Iran ‘Would Lead To Greater Stability In The Region’

August 7th, 2008 at 5:34 am
A regime change in the United States of America would lead to greater stability in the world. There is zero evidence that Iran is building nuclear weapons, just speculation. Just like WMD was speculation. Until the US has documented proof of that, they have zero justification to provoke a war.

@ heimlich, Great statement. Exactly what the Dr. ordered. New blood in the oval office that cares about the world in a compassionate way, not greed and fear.

So how do we bring about regime change in America? I’m all for it, but if we’re going to talk about it we need a way to make this plan work. There will be a new President in January but it’s going to be either McCain or Obama and pretty much anyone on this site agrees that either one will be just more of the same. If there isn’t a new President in January (from Bush/ Cheney somehow trying to cling to power) the regime change will take the form of an uprising of the people and an overthrow of the corrupt government. I certainly hope so anyway. Eight years is enough of this crew and I think a whole lot of other people feel the same way. So, short of an armed revolution (not a bad idea, in my opinion), what would you do to make this government be a tool of the people again?

What a grecian for men ASS. He has to be an idiot, he dyes his hair and sports a white hunk of — over his lip. Can someone tell him there’s grecian for that too! I would love to personally whip him into pulp.

Stability: Our economy implodes, while we occupy yet ANOTHER country!!! Yeah, give me more of that… NOT!!!
August 7th, 2008 at 9:43 am

August 7th, 2008 at 9:50 am
I say we give John Bolton to the Iraqis and let them have their way with him. Oh, and I’ll throw in the Mass Murderer in Chief too as a bonus.
August 7th, 2008 at 9:51 am
The world will be more stable with John Bolton.
August 7th, 2008 at 10:03 am
Isn’t this the same John Bolton from The Project for The New American Century? Didn’t they say in that report that they wanted permanent bases in Iraq, regardless of regime change concerning Saddam Hussein, and that from there they could flex the US Military muscle against other countries in tne neighborhood? Sounds like Bolton is keeping to the script. http://www.newamericancentury.org. What Neo-cons!

Sorry about the website not being able to link. I got the address correct. Sounds like they decided to shut it down.

comments like john bolton’s only make it more clear that the great for a new world order is still the top priority for people like him and the bush family and their associates..if there is a war against iran, there is no doubt in my mind that the zionist jews in isreal will be completely destroyed by their “everlasting” enemies like hezbullah, and the palestanian resistance..what the americans are doing in iraq will not go on punished by the children who have such hatered for the occupying forces..
August 7th, 2008 at 10:40 am
Why in the hell is anyone listening to anything that John Bolton has to say? He is a washed-up has-been. He is no longer relevant, yet they keep giving this clown air time to spew his insanity.
August 7th, 2008 at 10:50 am
Bolton is so the man! He is right: Iran is a menace and the time has come.
August 7th, 2008 at 10:54 am
okay Frank you go fight when the crap starts if you love being a menace yourself.
August 7th, 2008 at 11:13 am
Translation: 5 million dead Iranians is good for a stable Iran
August 7th, 2008 at 11:50 am
John Bolton is the Heindrich Gerbals of PNAC. And Joe Leeeberman is propaganda cheif. Together with Cheney, Rummy, and Condi dog face we will be in world war three quite soon. ESPECIALLY if John McBush becomes our next president. The Diebold black box (no paper trail “it’s not practical”) voting machines are set to go with their “flip the vote software”, no worries mate.
August 7th, 2008 at 12:00 pm
When he and the other criminals are convicted of war crimes, there will be dancing in the streets all over the world.
Nothing is going to happen to free the western world of these people until the USA people start the revolution first.
August 7th, 2008 at 12:49 pm
Sure Bolton, we will trust you because you are a dyed in the wool Zionist and a supporter of the U.N policies of completely avoiding sanctions against Israel who spied away America’s Nuclear secrets and who refuse to be a a party to any nuclear treaties…actually they tell everyone to just pound sand while trying to obtain the release of their hero Pollard. Where is your outrage with the “Food For Oil” scandal or the raping or the pedophilia that your agency is so famous for? Are you also a Dual Citizen (U.S-Israel) along with 42 members of Dubya’s Administration? If you could manufacture an insurance incentive or another false flag Okie-Doke, Jewish Lightning would have imploded your damn U.N building by now, which is a blight on American soil! Too many of you folks in the U.N and in the criminal Zionist Movement have either lost (or sold) your soul!! Your selfishness is absolutely without shame. Aren’t there enough politicians in D.C (and elsewhere) on film having sex with our children to slam-dunk these policies by now? Oh yeah, you monsters are getting desperate and are NEVER happy.
August 7th, 2008 at 12:56 pm
If Bolton were tucked away in Leavenworth permanently for complicity in war crimes, there would be a greater stability not only in the Middle East, but the rest of the world as well.
August 7th, 2008 at 1:06 pm
dont you see that they dont have any proof either so theyll take there time to manufacture the evidence, there not going to use the same tactics twice, this time theyll stategicly plant it and say “ooh look what we found!!!” ofcourse theyll probably botch that up to lol. and if they do use same tact. well then, there just not as bright as they think they are
August 7th, 2008 at 2:43 pm
Another war will bring stability to the middle east? Like Iraq has? I can’t believe these people actually say this stuff with a straight face.
August 7th, 2008 at 2:58 pm

August 7th, 2008 at 3:00 pm
Ronald Moyers , bravo , what a brilliant post . Loved it !!!!!!
August 7th, 2008 at 3:53 pm
From here deep from within the pathological jungle of neo-fascist/socialist Red Canaduh, here’s what I think should have been said:
Bolton:
“I think a Dr. Ron Paul regime change would be preferable because I think that would lead to greater stability in the American region, now in its eleventh hour just before it becomes the world’s deepest economic hole under this warmongering fraud.”
And:
~President Bush, 2/26/03:
“Acting with Republican Constitutionalist Dr. Paul in freedom, trade, & open-ended justice, against the dangerous corporate fascist lobby complex of my forefathers, will also contribute greatly to the long-term safety and stability of our Constitution, & every person in our world. Then maybe Laura & I will be able to find a way to live with myself.”
~ Vice President Cheney, 8/26/02~:
“A Dr. Ron Paul Republican regime change in Hollywashingmywood, DC, would bring about a number of benefits to my family & the region. When the gravest of threats from me & my base are eliminated, the honest freedom-loving peoples of the region will have a chance to promote the values that can bring lasting peace & abiding happiness, productivity & prosperity. As for me, I’ll tell you this only once; suicide will never, ever, EVER, be taken off the table. DO YOU HEAR ME?”
~ John McCain, 2/14/03:
“All my dear American family, & all of my many, many, many great friends, who I’m so blessed & grateful for, spread all over everywhere in this great nation, as well as everywhere all around this great world, which I’ve so extensively traveled in luxury on your great-grand kid’s unlimited tab; only a Dr. Ron Paul change of regime will make America a free competition state that does not threaten us and others, and where a liberated people under a small, Constitutional government would assume the rights and responsibilities of freedom. … Not only would honest competition in the mysterious markets liberate the American people to unspeakable prosperity, it would create incentive-rich cures, & tremendous personal happiness, which, my friends, would overjoy me and perhaps even give me another worthwhile 20 years. Otherwise, I’m sunk ~ condemned to become a puppet anti-viva maleophile for the rest of my days. I beg you, all my fine friends, to give me your support in this awesome, holy, righteous dream. My friends, trust me, … trust me, … today the REAL ”Uncle Sam” needs you more than ever before.”
—————————————————–
Yea, I’m a canuck.
Call it “Dea’s Dream.”
So, give peace a chance.
Right?
Not used to that? Take a walk on the wild side.
… While there’s still a tiny chance that Dr. Paul might even be able to fill these boots. Look around, but time’s nearly up; he’s the only one that will ever promise you a pay cut ~ … his own ~ because he figures he’ll have much less to do, once peace breaks out everywhere.
Write him in, & get set for abiding happiness ~ in a country under an ideal, freedom-protecting small Uncle Sam you can love ~ after the last runoff.
Otherwise, we could really use the REAL Uncle Sam up here in Red Canaduh badly, … to make our country the very best in the world overnight, if you’d still rather use your own historical bloodletting ‘Land of Brotherhood’ method … and aren’t planning on using him.
