Britain: Dozens fall victim to side effects of swine flu drug

The agency that licenses medicines in Britain has received 150 reports of suspected adverse reactions to the Tamiflu treatment for swine flu.
The figure was released yesterday as GPs said some patients were choosing not to take the drug because of concern about the possible side effects.
The Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) said the 150 reports received within the UK up until 23 July mention 241 separate side effects, most of which were mild and already recognised as linked with the anti-viral drug.
They include “mild allergic and gastrointestinal events”, such as diarrhoea and vomiting. There were five reports involving nine suspected adverse reactions to Relenza, the rival drug to Tamiflu which is taken by inhalation and is less widely used.

I hear that sweeping blanket statements about CPS makes for intelligent discussion. Oh wait they don’t? My mistake.
All you’ve informed me about was how ignorant you yourself are. The fact of the matter is that more often than not children are taken away from parents who are unqualified to even have a pet animal. There may be extreme cases… but come on. “CPS is full of educated idiots trying to climb the ladder” – maybe you should try some of that educating yourself.
People like you make this website, which often reports on important stories outside the mainstream media, look like a safe haven for the ultra-paranoid whack jobs. Skeptics and truthers/conspiracy theorists generally have plenty of people that tag along with their causes who are not inquisitive and don’t thoroughly research anything they believe. They will take the first story they read and run with it as fact. This is the reason that the blog culture is so dangerous, because the number of people who blog versus check facts and do thorough research is on the decline.

Inform yourself and stop acting like you have done all the research. I know it feels nice to rant as you do, but just as you say, you’ve taken the first story and run with it. You have presented no evidence of your own while just spewing rhetoric.

Can you prove to me that the CPS workers that take children away are themselves qualified to have a pet? Have you investigated their background? Your arguments are vacuous at best, and when you rely on ad hominem attacks and false assumptions, your arguments have no legitimacy.

JamesW, while it is true there are a lot of idiots here, and there are a lot of idiots overall that just read a story and run with it as fact; how is that any different from the years of people doing the same on the newspapers and television news? At least on the web, people now have a better opportunity to check out the stories. More do, than before. So, while it is true that there are those you speak of, there are less of them now. And many of those that did check on the stories, now have their own blogs as well.

They had 6000 kids come up missing in Florida while in the custody of cps. They found a few in foreign countries – some where beheaded. Decapitation of a young child is a satanic rituals that’s commonly practice, with the head being kept as a trophy. A child is also terrorizes to the point, where the blood starts to release anamorphines, at this particular time the child is killed and then the blood is drunk immediately while still warm, which causes the ultimate high. The man who started ” American Most Wanted ” son was a victim of this same ritual that’s practice.

It is true that CPS takes children away from their families who should never be removed. On the other hand, there are cases of such severe neglect and abuse that to not intervene is criminal in itself. What should be done with the child who is beaten, starved, raped, tortured and left to fend for himself for days on end while parents go binging. Sometimes the lack of action can be the greatest crime. Child Protection can be one screwed-up system, but what is the alternative to address the real serious abuse of children. Let’s hear some ideas to go along with the rant.

Hey you guys, Jason was simply asking a fair question and you jumped on him.. Maybe should have noticed cps’ grief, but he wasn’t obligated.. I know many parents that are unfit parents, I don’t necessary think that children should be taken away from them, at the same time, there are plenty of crackheads that have their children.. unless you rehabilitate, you are unfit, period! Someone has to have some moral stand.. it isn’t like ALL government workers are EVIL, well is it now?! So if your mother, or your best friend’s mother works for govn’t (pan intended), their have sold their soles?! But I should predict that you would probably call me govn’t lover, or get my facts straight or something in that matter..

If vomiting and diarrahea are considered mild what is considered severe? Death? If the same group of people experienced those reactions with organic and herbal remedies there would be a public outcry to ban all that is natural. I mean, if you’re body can’t hold food down what does that say about the so called cure?

A friend of my daughter’s husband is a pharmacist for the health service. Apparently key health workers have been threatened with their jobs if they refuse the vaccine! He’s fit and healthy at the moment, and is concerned about the damage to his immune system? He feels they have him over a barrel because he has a young family and a mortgage.

Get a lawyer to write up a compensation contract – the client will accept the vaccine if the employer is willing to pay compensation for any illness, loss of earnings and medical treatment required as a side effect of the vaccination. Otherwise, sue for constructive dismissal or take it to the papers.

H1N1 is actually the strain of Flu that was seen in 1918, so it’s more of a “coincidence” than a “prophecy” per se.

Im a Pharmacist and I believe that they are going to want us to administer this vaccine just like we do for flu shots for the elderly. I will refuse even if the take my liscense. I will give no person this shot. And I may not even dispense tamaflu even if you have a prescription for it, you know why???? Because I havent seen a box on the shelf for a month , know why?????? I live in New Zealand and note this article was from the New Zealand Herald. I have four children. I did vaccinate the first three in my naievity, when I was uninformed. I fear this flu virus vaccination programme may go the same way as the Meningicocal B programme here. I consented to my two older children having their first shot at school around three years ago before I knew any better, then to my dismay they recently came home and told me they had been administered an additional booster shot at school, without my knowledge or consent. At the same time that my two eldest recieved their first shot, I took my third child to the doctor to get his, due to the scare-mongering in the press. Our family noticed an immediate change in this childs behaviour, from passive and loving to aggressive and difficult. There have been revelations since that the batches of vaccine New Zealand received were in fact from Sweden, as they had rejected it. It’s appalling, it’s evil. Parents please make informed decisions!!!!!

Anybody that takes the vaccine deserves whatever they get! Personally, I think we need to weed out the idiots! The vaccine will actually help to get rid of stupid people and make rush hour traqffic a lot smoother, not to mention more jobs for the unemployed. If you don’t think the government would kill us off to keep their pockets fat, you better think again! I am glad to hear that some people ARE refusing to take the stuff! It shows that people have reservations about this, and hopefully even more people wake up before it’s too late.
