I’m ashamed for myself and my generation that what amounts to war crimes and an Iraqi holocaust of 1.2 million dead happened right before our very eyes. Yes, I marched and protested, but to what avail? Innocents are tortured, clusterbombed, died, Iraq is turned into Carthage, and what can we, today’s Good Germans, do to stop them????

Jeddy ~ No, we shouldn’t execute them. I would not have a problem paying my taxes knowing that it’s going to keep them in prison for a very long time & not supporting any of their poisonous ideas. In fact, I think there should be a video camera with sound in each of their cells so they know what it’s like to be spied on. Turn Big Brother against them! New reality show on live streaming video! We can title it: Inmate # 666.

Thanks for saying everything that I had intended to, SilverPixie. No excuse for torture, it solves nothing, answers nothing as anyone who knows anything about it, people will say anything the captor wants to hear and whether it is truthful or not is irrelevant as the only aim of the tortured is to get the captor to stop the violence.

So when will George Bush and members of administration even the former ones including the military officers be summoned to the International Court of Justice and tried for crimes against humanity and the violation of the Geneva Convention? As in the Nuremberg trials when some German said he followed orders – the judges declared ‘order are no excuse’. If the verdict against George Bush and everyone else is guilty will they be executed?

Rich ~ I don’t know, but somebody needs to do something quick. All those innocents who got tortured are most likely to become terrorists in the name for revenge & I don’t blame them one bit. We’re creating terrorists. I’m so ashamed to be an American. Our government is evil & making everyone think that all of us are also as evil. We need our next president to burn everything Bush signed (Bush Doctrine, Patriot Act, & all contracts of immunity for everyone, including the Pope). This bonfire must be televised so the world will be able to see that we’re trying to fix things. Then, send all of these Homeland Security drones to be reprogrammed. Our image would turn around immediately if our military was only used for aid in disasters. Train them on CPR, tourniquets, & calming people instead of causing pain & violence.
