In an interview with a reporter following a shoe being thrown at his head, President George W. Bush had a snippy answer for the fact that al Qaeda didn’t take a stand in Iraq until he invaded: “So what?”
Bush spoke with ABC’s Martha Raddatz following the shoe incident in Baghdad, which reportedly left White House spokesperson Dana Perino injured during the melee that ensued as the Iraqi journalist who threw the shoe was being subdued.
During the interview, Bush says his legacy will “take time,” but includes No Child Left Behind and “52 months of uninterrupted job growth,” then speaks about his role in “protecting” America after 9/11. He mentions that al Qaeda has turned out to be a problem in Iraq.
Raddatz points out that al Qaeda didn’t choose to make Iraq a base to fight from until after the U.S.-led invasion in 2003. Bush’s response? “Yeah, that’s right. So what?”
“Surely your legacy will be largely about this war,” Raddatz says. “Talk to me about how that feels being here.”

“There have been no attacks since I have been president, since 9/11,” he replies. “One of the major theats against al Qaeda turns out to have been Iraq. This is where al Qaeda said they were going to take their stand. This is where al Qaeda was hoping to take …”
“But not until after the U.S. invaded,” Raddatz interrupts.
“Yeah, that’s right,” Bush says. “So what? The point is that al Qaeda said they’re going to take a stand.”
Bush also told Raddatz that he wasn’t insulted by the Iraqi journalist who hurled shoes at him.
“I thought it was interesting, I thought it was unusual to have a guy throw his show at you. But I’m not insulted. I don’t hold it against the government. I don’t think the Iraqi press corps as a whole is terrible. And so, the guy wanted to get on TV and he did. I don’t know what his beef is. But whatever it is I’m sure somebody will hear it.”

George Bush is obviously a man who feels no shame, and he proves himself time and time again to be a moron and a liar. By the time he gave the interview he had to have known the guy said it was for the “widows” and the “orphans.” So, he gets up there and says, “I don’t know what his beef is.” What a crock of shit!!
His legacy is going to take time…I guess it’s going to take a lot of time for the media and paid historians to twist and manipulate events to paint a completely different picture.
And his is “so what?” So what, if Al Qaida wasn’t there before? Wow! There are so many things wrong with that statement I can’t even begin to rant. What a heartless arrogant mass murdering bastard.

Hey Mickard, perhaps you are unaware of President Bush’s approval rating here in the states. It’s lower than any President’s rating in history. Congress isn’t scorig much higher either. Seems ot me you’re talking to only a select minority of Americans. Before you go off too much on my country, I’d take a closer look at your own. It’s not a competiton to see who can hit bottom last, my friend. We need to come together rather than accuse one another of facilitating the loss of their freedom. Please don’t get to upset with MICKARD, our population here in Australia is just as ignorant / stupid. We have virtually no guns, no bill of rights, we are still part of the Commonwealth (i.e. the Queen rules us) and our new Prime Minister is hell bent on Carbon taxes and a Pacific Union. I agree, a lot of Americans are pretty ignorant, dumb or stupid is probably not an accurate term, but Aussies are being schooled in the same manner, which means same level of ignorance.

All the comments on here are great. Just to add my thoughts into the mix, the shoe thrower was very accurate and Bush’s reactions were very quick which was probably in the reporters favour. Christians need to pray for this man. Finally, I heard people talk about this spell the whole world is under and the Bible refers to it as a powerfull delusion, let the scriptures explain further from the book of 2 Thessalonians starting verses 9-12
