With days left in office and an abysmal approval rating, President Bush is still defending the use of torture.
In an interview on Fox News, Bush told Brit Hume that he approved enhanced interrogation tactics for suspected terrorists like Khalid Sheikh Mohammed.
“My view is the techniques were necessary and are necessary,” Bush said.
The Bush administration has faced scathing criticism from those who say waterboarding and other enhanced interrogation tactics approved by Bush to be torture.
The president disagreed with notion that such tactics amount to torture.
(Article continues below)
“I firmly reject the word ‘torture,’” Bush said.
The Bush administration helped create an unclear legal landscape (at best) as to whether waterboarding was outlawed.
President-elect Barack Obama rejects the Bush administration’s equivocations about waterboarding, however.
“Vice President Cheney, I think, continues to defend what he calls extraordinary measures or procedures when it comes to interrogations and from my view waterboarding is torture,” Obama said.
This video is from Fox’s Fox News Sunday, broadcast Jan. 11, 2009.

Since mafia boss Bush thinks torture is necessary, does that mean if we tortured him he would reveal pertinent info ? Under his own rules we should practically torture this evil demon to death. Still we should be better then that lest it comes back to haunt us. He should simply be taken, judged in the USA, then probably in all countries he has committed crimes, then start serving prison time and labor in exchange for food/water (if convicted).

Bush IS crazy!
Truly, the people in Gitimo and the secret CIA prisons and the prison ships, etc, need to all file lawsuits against Bush and his cronies for kidnapping and torture!

2 Peter 3:10
“But the day of the Lord will come like a thief, and then the heavens will pass away with a roar, and the heavenly bodies will be burned up and dissolved, and the earth and the works that are done on it will be exposed. ”
Bush, what a pathetic creature, still an arrogant idiot, false christian blaming everyone else except himself for things “not going as planned”. I would rather you just claim to be the Skull & Bones, Bohemian Club, NWO scumbag son of Satan that you cannot deny.
It will be good just to forget your half asleep, Texas good old boy routine. It is like watching a stroke victim running the world. I still cannot believe that some people think there is anything sincere about this demonic creature. They can all go to Gehenna, including the media whores who go along with this pathetic act.

I wonder, if in fact these advanced techniques are absolutely necessary in order to squeeze out relevent information from terrorists, then I would ask, is it therefore appropriate to torture Bush, Cheney and Rumsfeild to get to the bottom of 9/11? Just asking!

Bush is friggin’ nuts…

Even though I am 100% positive that Bush had prior knowledge of 911, confessions obtained under duress cannot be recognized as legitimate- ever.
If Bush was tortured until he confessed involvement in 911- what good would that do? Because people who are tortured are likely to say anything to stop the torturing.
The 8th amendment of the Bill of Rights forbids ALL TORTURE. Apparently even our most sacred human rights are fair game for the current phony left/right two faced regime. Bush is so full of crap. If “waterboarding” isn’t torture- is it optional for the prisoner, like a mudbath, massage, hot tub, steak dinner, or a movie?
We should treat others as we would want to be treated ourselves. And that golden rule is respected worldwide irregardless of belief or non. Torturing people makes us no better than the inquisition. America is supposed to be better than that.

True…. information gathered through torture is never reliable.

I have to agree with Gabriel and Joe at the same time. I would gladly love to torture him, BUT the bill of rights DOES forbid it. Besides, to torture him, would mean bringing ourselves down to his level

Bush is A WAR CRIMINAL!! Cheeney is also A WAR CRIMINAL!! A few others in his cabinet are too!!

George Bush better beware the Bible says to the one who shows mercy, mercy will be shown but to the one who shows no mercy…
And now in with the change- Obama promised in his campaign to eliminate wire tapping of US citizens and end the Iraq War, now will he keep his word? H*ll no. He has gone back on all his promises before even taking office, what’s he gonna do about torture? NOTHING. And yet the Obamanators will be worshipping him at the inagural without even once expecting him to change anything from the Bush years of torture and wiretapping? why has he dropped his campaign promises before even getting into office, the Obama fake liberals don’t care, and he’s now saying he is for cutting old people’s Social Security (not even Bush was that heartless) The elite puppetmasters know that with a Black President if you complain about his policies they will can you a racist, to shut you up. No matter what he does, even worse than Bush, believe me I complained about Bush but now…. and what ever happened to his promise to tax the rich? no he is giving trillions away to elite foreign bankers to buy up our country and gold with.
Poor Alex will come back just in time for the highly staged inaguration, oh lord does it ever end in this country? I voted for Mckinney, a real black/American leader.

Obama is ONE OF THEM!!
Can’t you people see that??
He is no different from any other scum that came before him.
So freakin what if he’s black or half black. All one needs to do is take a look at the peoople he is surrounding himself with to know that he is just as white as any of them.
OBAMA IS A FRAUD!!

January 12th, 2009 at 2:24 pm
totally unbeleiveble. “i don’t like the word torture”. Oh but the action is the same whatever word you use, right. I guess you want to find a word that you can sleep better at night with!
I guess you also like the words, terrorist and insurgents. What about people fighting for their freedom like in Gaza?
I’m not saying there are no terrorists but if US foreign policy was fair then the world would be far safer. Also if the US population were given the truth by the lying media then the population would have reacted very differently. Now they are finding out fast but not fast enough because Obama came in on a golden chariot like the new Ceaser.
As a Brit, i also pin a massive amount of blame on the UK government for the way the world is. The US simply inherited it and made it even worse because leaders were owned by the banks and illuminate. No change then.
January 12th, 2009 at 2:50 pm
I’m in complete accord with George! Torture is necessary! I firmly believe we should continue blowing up frogs with firecrackers and then laughing maniacally afterwards! And we’ll continue until those frogs tell us everything they know! Those damn terrorist amphibians!

in hell bush will be doomed to polishing purple throbbing nobbies, which is probably already one of his favorite hobbies

“Vice President Cheney, I think, continues to defend what he calls extraordinary measures or procedures when it comes to interrogations and from my view waterboarding is torture,” Obama said.
So, Mr Obama, does this mean you’ll use your power and influence to bring criminal charges against Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld, Rice etc?
No? Didn’t think so.
Politicians are actors. They are paid to make you think that they are your leaders and that they see things the way you do.
Politicians have not intention to uphold any part of their Oath of Office. There is no interest for them to do so. Their only interest lies is saying what people want to hear and serving the financial interests that back their election campaigns.
If you’re fed up with being treated like a fool, stop acting like one. Stop running out to vote in elections like a brainwashed primate, stop listening to the grinning idiots on TV, stop using their money and stop supporting their system.
If we stop using their filthy money, the Federal Reserve System will die and their politicians will go with them.
Don’t fight the system:
Replace it

This is the Luciferian Order. It’s under the feet of Jesus Christ – you can be sure of it. “No weapon formed against the people will prosper.” “The Lord turns topsy turvy the plans of the wicked.” “When satan comes in; like a flood with the Lord raise up a standard against him.”
January 12th, 2009 at 8:35 pm
It’s never okay to torture people or living creatures, no matter what anybody might want to call it. It’s cruel and it’s unusual punishment and it defaces humanity, including that of the torturers. Besides the fact, it doesn’t work in procuring information. Promoting ideas of torture makes us less civilized, less spiritual and less human.
