  • Californians required to give a thumbprint to purchase ammunition

A Sacramento man pleaded guilty Tuesday to possession of ammunition by a felon after buying bullets from a local sporting goods store.

Ramon Michael Clark, 31, entered his guilty plea in federal court before U.S. District Judge John A. Mendez, according to a news release by the office of U.S. Attorney McGregor Scott.

Clark’s illegal activity came to light as a result of a pilot program requiring merchants to collect identifying information from people buying ammunition.

    (Article continues below)

Clark bought 50 rounds of .25 caliber ammunition from Big 5 Sporting Goods on Mack Road in February.

Clark was required to submit his driver’s license and a thumbprint to complete the sale in compliance with a recently enacted ordinance, the release states.

Sacramento police used the information to determine that Clark had been convicted of possessing marijuana for sale and possessing narcotics while armed, both felonies.

Clark is scheduled to be sentenced by Mendez at 9:30 a.m. Nov. 4.

He faces a maximum penalty of 10 years in prison, the release states.

The case resulted from joint investigation by Sacramento police and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.

What a shame that Americans have let the zionist occupied government intrude so boldly and curtail their right to bear arms so flagrantly. Totally unacceptable practices in a country where the Guardians of Freedom are The People.

      Don’t take it lying down!!!

    3. Rob Says:

      “both felonies”

Doesn’t stop the CIA, MI6 and MOSSAD trafficking the stuff around the world along with little kiddies does it?

    4. 03 Says:

Sure don’t question the control device..(id for ammo), just blame the criminals, who got busted by the criminals wearing uniforms. I hope those same pigs zap Saxon with a tazer. It might get his mind back in the game. Wake up sheeple, you are out of time for debate and should be buying ammo too. At least be smart enough, if you are a felon to HAVE SOMEONE PURCHASE IT FOR YOU.

How fortunate for leaders that men do not think. Hitler

It starts out with a thumb print innocently enough. Of course they want your I.D.card (California Drivers License) and they write down the licence number. Oh, if you pay by credit card, debit card or any card you are entered into “the system” and they have a dossier on you and all of your purchases. Oh and don’t forget the facial recognition camera’s like they have at Home Depot. Which is locked into the state’s DMV and digital picture for instant ID. Oh yeah on the way out the camera locks onto your licence plate and instantly knows who owns the car and where you live. All we need now is a staged “incident” from the “decider” and his V.P. sidekick (I’ll be in my bunker)Cheney.

    7. ItsMike Says:

So, if you’ve been in prison then you can never own a gun again?
What the heck kind of law is that?

    8. Karmakaze Says:

Wow, I can’t believe any gun rights supporter would question this!

I thought the whole idea was to keep guns out of criminals hands, but keep them in the hands of law abiding citizens? Or was that just a load of bull?

Sure you can argue slippery slope etc, but if any of you really WANT an armed drug dealer to be able to buy ammo, then you’re nuts!

    9. CounterStrike Says:

KAMAKAZE * If the gov’t didn’t make drugs illegal there wouldn’t be such a lucrative market for them. Making drugs illegal drives the demand up and also drives the price up. Making those who smuggle them into our country rich. Guess who took over the drug trade and is now making billions a year off it? The US Govt thats who. Then guess what they get to arrest your child for experimenting with drugs and lock them up and god forbid he has a gun on him for self deffense. Drug laws and gun/ammo laws are UNCONSTITUTIONAL in the first place. The Constitution does not give the govt the power to make drugs or guns illegal.

Why don’t you go look at Amsterdam? There most drugs are legal and there is hardly a drug problem. When gov’ts make drugs illegal they create a business out of it. In turn it drives the crime rate up because people have to steel to buy drugs.

Also I bet you believe in the right for a woman to do what she wants with her body (abortion) but you don’t think people have the right to do what they want with their body when it comes to drugs? People who want to do drugs will do them wether there are laws or not. Its like the war on terror the more terrorist you kill the more there are. Its futile and a loseing battle.

Why don’t we make the pharmicuticle drugs illegal? Its been proven they are far more dangerous then illegal drugs. Oh but we can’t do that because then the big pharmacy corporations wouldn’t make billions. When someone on PROZAK kills his whole family they will lock him up too because it wasn’t PROZAKs fault was it now?

    10. CounterStrike Says:

The PROBLEMS of any country start at the TOP not at the BOTTOM. So the policies or illegal drugs and gun laws are FLAWED because these idiots at the top don’t follow their job description which is to deffend the CONSTITUTION. Why don’t you lock them up KAMAKAZEE???? Lock them up for breaking the Constitution. I mean if the govt can break the law and never be held accountable. Why should millions of Americans sitting in prison for NON Violent crimes have to? Hes a felon for breaking unconstitutional laws? and your sorry ass would have him sit in prison for 10 years? You disgust me.

    11. Deliverance Says:

Do you realize anytime you buy a gun, they have all your nfo anyway. Whether it is a hand gun or Rifle. They do background checks on site at purchase. They don’t need a camera to follow you.
What they are doing is leaving guns in the hands of criminals and taking them away from law abiding citezens saying the police and the government will protect you. Truth is they will not help you, and they will target you before any criminals, to keep you helpless and fearful.

    12. Stephen in SD Says:

      Counter Strike:

Amsterdam has only decriminalized Marijuana, not legalized it.
Get the story straight, there is a fucking difference

    13. CounterStrike Says:

No Stephen in SD – you explain the difference to me. I don’t know the difference between legal and decriminalized. All I know is in Amsterdam you can go into a coffee shop and buy marijuana and shrooms and many other drugs without getting arrested or having the place of business SWAT TEAMED. Like they do here in the Home of the Cowards Land of the Sheep. Who cares if its legal or decriminalized. The point is you won’t go to jail for it.

Deliverance- you can buy guns LEGALLY from a private seller without a back ground check as long as they don’t have a dealers liscense. All you have to do is make a bill of sale. You can go anywhere meet someone and buy LEGALLY their guns without any paper work thats going to be turned over to the gov’t. At least that is the way it is in most states.

    14. Stephen in SD Says:

Land of the United Snakes, surrounded by bloodsuckers and parasites.

    15. kj Says:

Clark must have figured the print and info wouldn’tbe leaving the store. Sad situation for him.

Registered ammunition is going to be a worse situation, though.

    16. Rob Says:

Maybe the US should make people pass a spelling test before they can gain access to the internet and make posts? That’d make life easier for those of us who can.

If you can’t be arsed learning how to spell at least put your post through a spell check or better yet use Firefox and install the dictionary.

Karmakaze – FFS if you are going to use a Japanese word look up it’s spelling you retard

    17. Mark Says:
