As if playing dress-up with Muslims and personally welcoming refugees at the airport wasn’t enough to convince you of Trudeau’s love affair with Islam, he has yet again revealed his inability to see the threat that Islam poses in the West.

Canada’s Prime Minister Justin Trudeau was criticized on Wednesday by  Conservative leadership candidate Steven Blaney  for responding faster to the death of Star Wars actress Carrie Fisher than to the 12 deaths that resulted from the Berlin Christmas market terrorist attack on December 19.

At a press conference in Quebec City, Blaney said, “When Princess Leia passed away, the prime minister only took four hours to react, whereas for a terrorist attack where a truck caused 12 deaths in a Berlin Christmas market, it took him three days to have a decent response.”

On December 19, Trudeau put out a statement about a separate terrorist attack in Jordan that killed a Canadian citizen, but he waited until December 22 to respond to the Berlin Christmas market attack.

Blaney, who said he didn’t comment on Fisher’s death sent out a fundraising email following the Berlin terrorism attack, in which he said “Christmas is a time for peace and joy, not terrorism.”

Blaney’s criticized Trudreau on Wednesday while announcing his anti-terrorism strategy. “There is a terrorist threat out there that’s created thousands of victims and is mainly Islamic-inspired,” Blaney said.

Trudreau is no stranger to criticism. Many have criticized him for his passivity towards the threat of Muslim migration, and he has continued to encourage Canadians to welcome more refugees. In 2015, Trudeau pledged to accept 25,000 Syrian refugees to Canada.

Conservative leadership candidate Steven Blaney took a shot at Prime Minister Justin Trudeau Wednesday for responding faster to the death of actress Carrie Fisher, who played Princess Leia in the Star Wars movie franchise, than to the deaths resulting from the December 19 Berlin Christmas market terrorist attack.

“When Princess Leia passed away, the prime minister only took four hours to react, whereas for a terrorist attack where a truck caused 12 deaths in a Berlin Christmas market, it took him three days to have a decent response,” he said in French at a press conference in Quebec City, according to Le Soleil.

Trudeau put out a statement on December 19 about the terrorist attack in the city of Karak, Jordan that killed a Canadian citizen, and retweeted, the same day, Foreign Affairs Minister Stéphane Dion’s condolences following the murder of the Russian ambassador to Turkey.

But he does appear to have waited until a December 22 conversation with German Chancellor Angela Merkel to comment on the Christmas market attack, and did indeed respond quickly to Fisher’s death Tuesday.
