In my last column, I joked that with public spending out of control and the piling on of the international bailout bill, economic collapse seems to be the goal of Congress. It is getting harder to joke about such a thing however, as the non-partisan General Accounting Office (GAO) has estimated that the administration’s health care plan would actually cost over a trillion dollars. This reality check may have given us a temporary reprieve on this particular disastrous policy, however an equally disastrous energy policy reared its ugly head on Capitol Hill last week.
The Cap and Trade Bill HR 2454 was voted on last Friday. Proponents claim this bill will help the environment, but what it really does is put another nail in the economy’s coffin. The idea is to establish a national level of carbon dioxide emissions, and sell pollution permits to industry as the Catholic Church used to sell indulgences to sinners. HR 2454 also gives federal bureaucrats new power to regulate a wide variety of household appliances, such as light bulbs and refrigerators, and further distorts the market by providing more of your tax money to auto companies.
The administration has pointed to Spain as a shining example of this type of progressive energy policy. Spain has been massively diverting capital from the private sector into politically favored environmental projects for the better part of a decade, and many in Washington apparently like what they see. However, under no circumstances should anyone serious about economic recovery emulate an economy that is now approaching 20 percent unemployment, where every green job created, eliminated 2.2 real jobs and cost around $800,000 each!
The real inconvenient truth is that the cost of government regulations, taxes, fees, red tape and bureaucracy is a considerable expense that has to be considered when companies decide where to do business and how many people they can afford to hire. Increasing governmental burden directly causes capital flight and job losses, as Spain has learned. In this global economy its easy enough for businesses to relocate to countries that are more politically friendly to economic growth. If our government continues to kick the economy while its down, it will be a long time before it gets back up. In fact, jobs are much more likely to go overseas, compounding our problems.
And for what? Contrary to claims repeated over and over, there is no consensus in the scientific community that global warming is getting worse or that it is manmade. In fact over 30,000 scientists signed a petition recently directly disputing the claims on which this policy is based. Legitimate environmental claims should instead be directed towards the public sector. The government, especially the military, is the most serious polluter in the country, and is exempt from most EPA regulations. Meanwhile Washington bureaucrats have classified the very air we exhale as a pollutant and have gone unchallenged in this incredible assertion. The logical consequence is that there will come a time when we will have to buy a government permit just to emit carbon dioxide into the atmosphere from our own lungs!
The events on Capitol Hill last week just demonstrate Washington’s audacity in manufacturing problems just so they can expand government power to solve them.

I’m a daily reader of prisonplanet, one of those who watches and rarely contributes! For religious reasons i am also one who refrains from swearing and any dirty, vain or idle talk. Reconmarine is winning here because in virtually every reply to his posts, there is a torrent of foul language and morally corrupt written thoughts and ideas. He could and is posting here all day – a newbie reading this, with any sense of moral integrity, may form a negative impression about the lot of you for this simple reason. Reconmarine: 1 Truthers: 0
If you cant simply ignore him, just post basic refutations of his points with the minimum of text – and then rapidly move on, back to the matter in hand. How long is this thread now? most of it is a collection of outrages and insults aimed at Reconmarine! and this is supposed to attract Miley to InfoWars? I’d say Reconmarine has won this round?

Thanks to Reconmarine now I’am enlightened. I spent years thinking that 9/11 was an inside job but now becose of him I can see clearly that it wasn’t. The goverment is honest, it only serves our interest, I shouldn’t question anything that happens becose there are very inteligent and high caliber people like Reconmarine who would see through such a conspiracy if its existed. He is even ready to sacrafice his time to inform us dummies who are wasting time believing conspiracy theories, thanks to the info he presents we maybe can leave this place and do something meaningful or could have a life. I’m really waiting to be vaccinated and chipped and tomorrow I will join the Obama Youth Brigade to fight for justice and against enviromental destruction and to create green jobs.

Look how easily reconmarine had you hating him and not focusing on the people running out the back door with all the cash. Honestly,
Reconmarine makes some very valid points at times. I have agreed with him on many occasions in all honesty. Like a broken clock, he is allowed to be right twice a day, and sometimes, those two times he is right, he outshines many of the people here who spew out a hate movement’s ideas, like jews doing everything.
It is sad that we have so many here, like Resist.com, who push their own agenda and want to make this a white power movement, anti jewish movement, etc… when it should be about every American, white, brown, red, etc coming together and using the might of our numbers to reclaim our rights.
I do have to say, that in many post, Reconmarine has gained my respect, which is more than I can say for resist.com’s post.

I have always heard that those that scream out the loudest against Homosexuality, are the ones who scream out the loudest about or point out the perceived homosexuality of others.
AKA they fear what they are, so they point and scream when they think someone has the same homosexual tendencies that they harbor themselves.
As far as Reconmarine, who cares what his sexual desires are? I have no interest in him, in a sexual way.
Now if you, NM, on the other hand, like to envision another man kneeling down at his crotch, licking the shaft, and drinking the gravy, then you have issues that you need to deal with.

Reconmarine just has a chip on his shoulder, probably caused by the service to his country. Someday he will see the light or at least admit this government is turning into a czar dictatorship. The thing that is so obvious and disturbing is that the government is exempt from the restrictions and costs of the rest of us. If they led by example maybe we would all find a solution. Taking from their own people to solve worldly problems should piss us all off. And who cares if Marley comes to this post or not, I’m sure if she does she is smart enough to see through to the core of the truth here. They are taxing us to death and something has to change soon or there will be no America to discuss anymore. That is the real issue. These thieves are getting away with taking away money we and our children and grandchildren haven’t even made yet. All the while their fat bank accounts grow with the sweat of American labor. They are liars and thieves and selling out our country. That is treason and should be punishable. Impeach the whole lot of em and take America Back before it is too late.

There is plenty of 9/11 meat out there. In trusting testimony I look for someone who was THERE, has qualifications, had nothing to gain and maybe a lot to lose, and preferably had some authority and experience: Barry Jennings is a perfect example.

Now about this article, Dr. Ron Paul hits the nail on the head again (he is very consistent and trustworthy). “Cap and Trade Will Lead to Capital Flight” is what is going to happen. This is like a tax increase AND a destruction of our economy… kind of reminds me of Mexico where I read that real companies keep all of their assets offshore due to heavy corruption.

I’ve watched an interview on CNN with Susan Malvo the Situation Room at around 4:00pm on Monday, June 29th. Susan Malvo interviewed the lawyer, Lawyer Edward Chernoff, who represents Dr. Conrad Murray, Michael’s physician. The lawyer stated that Dr. Conrad Murray LIVED with Michael on the night of his death.
I’ve been a fan for OVER 30 YEARS, have done all kinds of research on Michael that the mainstream media hid to paint Michael as a child molester. I’m also able to prove HE WAS NOT A CHILD MOLESTER. But, after reviewing the Susan Malvo interview with lawyer Edward Chernoff, I’M 100% CERTAIN, MICHAEL WAS MURDERED!!!
They set Michael Jackson up to be murdered using what they knew in the past he had a problem with PAIN KILLERS.
But here’s my evidence of a murder that may not only involve the physician but MANY MORE in an elaborate plot. Most of the evidence came from the Susan Malvo interview of doctor’s attorney, Edward Chernoff.
1. There’s no clarity on what the Physician was doing leading up to Michael’s death. But the lawyer said to Susan Malvo that Dr. Murray was with Michael for over 30 minutes when he found him WITHOUT CALLING FOR HELP. They claimed because NO PHONES WERE ON IN THE HOUSE. Susan Malvo asked “did he have a cell phone.” This question seems to have caught the lawyer off guard. He then said the physician is a cardiologist and he’s already a physician and knows how to give CPR. He said the doctor ran downstairs to get some help. A security guard came up and made the 9-11 call. But here’s the kicker, Susan asked him how did he make the call, the lawyer said FROM THE DOCTORS CELL PHONE. Were the phones disconnected so that Michael couldn’t himself call for help.
2. Susan Malvo asked again about not calling earlier and the lawyer responded that he was a heart doctor and he knows how to give CPR. We all know the good old doctor DID NOT KNOW HOW TO GIVE CPR because he had MICHAEL ON THE BED when everyone knows you have to put the body on a firm surface.
3. NO ONE WAS WITH MICHAEL BUT THAT DOCTOR WHEN HE CLAIMED MICHAEL WAS ON THE BED. SO THERE ARE NO WITNESSES TO WHAT HE DID.
4. I believe that company AEG IS ALSO INVOLVED. AEG lured Michael with this great concert package knowing he’s in debt. They set Michael up in the house WITH NO PHONES. Then they put the doctor on the PAYROLL. The attorney speaking to Susan Malvo said that AEG owes him over $300,000. Ironically the physician had $250,000 in DEBT ISSUES ALMOST CLOSE TO THAT AMOUNT.
5. Someone was dropping Michael DYING before it happened. So, who ever did this, they tested in the tabloids to see how it fared. The National Enquire even went so far to say in January ‘09 that Michael would die in 6 months from PAIN KILLERS/ALCOHOL. How the hell would they know that??
6. How did Michael meet the doctor? The lawyer claims it was Michael’s friend since 2006 and HE WAS REFERRED to Michael when he was in Vegas and his son was sick. The lawyer claims Michael’s son was sick in Vegas and someone referred a physician. I WOUD LIKE TO KNOW WHO REFERRED HIM BECAUSE THIS MAY BE WHERE THE SETUP BEGINS IF THIS STORY IS TRUE. Something tells me IT’S NOT. But they had to cover their butts. They claimed Michael bought this physician in May and INSISTED on a physician that only treated his son 3 YEARS AGO?
7. TMZ GETS THE INFORMATION BEFORE A CORONER. They got the call from the people who did it to be the FIRST. So now they will be the AUTHORITY on any news.
8. During the Susan Malvo interview, the physician starts a job WITHOUT HAVING ANY MEDICAL RECORDS of whether Michael was on prescriptions for anything. HOW CAN YOU BE A DOCTOR WITHOUT RECORDS giving prescriptions?
9. The physician is not certified ANYWHERE which means he probably is a PATSY/QUACK.
10. Like 9-11 (which had overwhelming evidence of government complicity), they often do trial runs. The trial runs for Michael’s murder was to plant stories that he was dying for the purpose of acclimating the public to the idea of his death. So that when it happens, people will be less shocked. Stories in tabloids included “he’s dying from cancer.” “He has a terminal lung disease.” But here are the biggest examples.
1. In New Mexico several months ago, they tested their trial run ON RADIO.

Six months later is JUNE. HOW THE HELL WOULD ANYONE KNOW A PERSON WILL DIE FROM PAINKILLERS AND ALCOHOL SIX MONTHS BEFORE IT HAPPENS?
11. Since Michael was in debt, the ATV/Sony Catalog BECOMES a guess of who gets it if the estate goes into bankruptcy.

Yeah, but there isn’t a whole lot of interest for most folks. Many are simply glad that he is gone and won’t be in the news after a few months. What a shame Donald Trump, Angelina Jolie/Brad Pitt and some other trash couldn’t also die from overdoses of some kind.
Americans might wake up if they had to stop worrying about overpaid drug adicts (no, not referring to politicians) showing off their wealth and affairs in public.

The cap and trade concept doesn’t even do a good job of protecting the environment. Heres why—it can lead to concentrated pockets of pollution in regions where it is simply cheaper to buy the credits than to actually reduce emissions. It is a shell game. Here in KY, where most of our electricty comes from coal-fired plants, it is possible that the people living on the land around electric plants where credits are bought, will likely face greater levels of toxic emissions (like mercury) that will fall out and poison the land. Cap and trade will place the health burden of emissions squarely on the poor. People seem to forget that there are more dangerous things than CO2.

Ron Paul is the one of the consistent voices of reason in congress, along with Kucinnich and a handful of others. Considering what most of the rest of congress does, it’s mystifying how people like Pelosi, Waxman and their ilk get re-elected. This programmer from Florida testified he wrote the code to rig the electronic voting machines for a state senator. I have to think that national elections have to be rigged too for these zombies to stay in. Pelosi and Waxman should be cast in the next “the Revenge of the Zombies” movie… they are some of the scariest looking people I have ever seen.

It definitely is a scary bill and I think the American people had better to their best to get out of debt and start finding safe ways to store their money because the possibilities tax wise of this thing are horrible if you ask me. Even more frightening is that no one has read this thing completely. I saw a video of the Climate Czar Carol Browner where even she admitted that she hadn’t read it.

Well people the end is nearing and all that’s left is what you truly believe… In the end was there enough to base a book on … a movie? How do you want us to be remembered? Congress or America threatened???
Is it just me…? In 2008 when the elections were months away from coming to an end, I noticed a great change in John McCain. His face was total defeat, as if he were threatened! Same was with Bush in his final days, as well as California Arnold. The end was that we were all thrown underneath the bus!
As I look and read about our members of congress throwing America and the American people under the bus – I Can’t help but believe that the congress has been threatened as well. Now I know to many of you that this accusation may seem farfetched – However, bear with me for a moment.
Why would these so-called American congress people do these things that are outright destroying America and the American people? We all heard that this was a plan started many decades ago to destroy America and have only one-world order. We have recently heard all the accusations that many of the members of congress were force to vote yes on bills design to destroy America even though they were against them – so what other could it be – other than being threatened or worst… America was threatened and these people are going along with the program in hopes to devise a plan to stop the threat.
Sounds like a great movie doesn’t it – well maybe, just maybe, the movie is already playing, especially when you look at the action and support obama has and is giving to the people who are flat-out against our America.
There are four things in any situation where you are looking for someone to take action or do something. Meaning; whether you want to sell something to someone or get a date etc., four things need to take place:
1. Get their attention! Once you have their attention, you can then create
2. Interest – And once you have created an interest, you can then create
3. Desire – And once you have created desire in people or anyone – only then will they take
4. Action!
This is how America can be put back to the Strong Nation it once was and restore government control back with the American people.
As of now, we have got the attention of many American people and have created an interest, a mild interest, but nevertheless an interest enough to create a desire, a fair amount of desire, but we need to create a lot more desire within the American people, so that action – real action – can take place to stop these people from destroying America and all the rights and freedoms of the American people.
We need to create a desire for the American people to set aside One-day of their lives to Restore America – to restore American government control back to the people.
That One-Day would be for every American to stop what they are doing for just One-Day – bring this country to a HALT and demand that the government save America, including answering to the American people all the unanswered questions like; is obama an actually US Citizen? – show us his true Birth Certificate! Why are bills that are designed to destroy America and the American people being passed?
Furthermore, the American people should have a site that would show all the bills presented to congress to be voted on – to show to congress what the American people want and don’t want to pass. A site where America can show their vote on these bills – this way, our congressmen will know exactly what the people who they represent want and don’t want. It will make them ACCOUNTABLE! If they are not doing the job we elected them to do – then we need to replace them!
We have the wherewithal and the technology to do this – we just need the American people to get balls and create enough desire to take this ACTION!
Now if anyone is thinking… why aren’t you taking any action? I have no problem taking political action! I have the knowledge, courage and backbone to put the web site together to make our congress accountable and I have the knowledge, courage and backbone to put the One-Day Campaign into action – What I don’t have (unfortunately) is the finances needed to accomplish this endeavor.
