Captured map shows Georgia planned to invade Abkhazia

Russian troops have discovered what they believe are plans for an invasion of Abkhazia in a captured Georgian command post vehicle. On Wednesday, Abkhazian armed forces succeeded in pushing Georgian troops out of the Upper Kodori Gorge in anticipation of such an attack.
For the past few days the spotlight has been on Georgia’s other breakaway republic, South Ossetia.
But the captured documents apparently outline steps for the invasion of Abkhazia, a region twice the size of South Ossetia, bordering the Black Sea.

Doesn’t russia ever read the papers ?
Perhaps if they did they would realise that the ‘Look at this earth shattering evidence which has just been found’ bullshit has been overworked lately and could at some point soon blow up in their faces.

By the way… Most countries have developed various plans for military defense or attacks in various fronts… So if they have considered some possible scenarios, it means they WILL be used and are a hard proof?

This reminds me of the U.S. government story of how they miraculously found a 911 hijacker passport at wtc. Personally, I couldn’t care less about who started it. I think it’s much more important to focus on a solution and stop the dead bodies from piling up. Unfortunately, the focus (in almost every facet of society these days) is to point f**king fingers at everyone as a means to divert attention from what is occurring daily in front of all of our faces: BLOODY MURDER.

It’s certainly true that such evidence can be faked. But we can assume that the Georgian state terrorists had planned their incursion into South Ossetia because military necessity would have demanded such planning. So, a battle-planning map for an attack on Abkazia would not be unexpected. The Republican side discovered such a map in a captured Falangist (Franco fascist) armored car just prior to their assault against the University of Madrid. It’s more important that the Georgian terrorists know that it has been found than that public opinion is swayed by seeing it. Knowing that it has been discovered can motivate them to cease their aggressions, and as such the publication of the map is pressure against further futile conflict.

why you guys think this is faked??? it makes perfect sense to believe it. of course georgia had plans for taking on abkhazia too, if they went for south ossetia. probably green lighted in some way from our own state department or cheney himself. i am guessing they were either surprised by the russian response or thought the confrontation would be useful for themselves even if russia did respond.

It’s NEVER about “democracy”. A God damned “democracy” is a wolf, a coyote and a chicken deciding what they’re going to have for dinner.
That’s why America ia a REPUBLIC. Only one sixth of the government is even close to a “democracy”. The House of Representatives.
If America were still under the control of real Americans instead of World Federalist Nazis like the Bush family…
…we almost without ANY doubt would NOT be butting heads with Russia.
(Which brings up a good point… it’s not us agains the Russians. It’s the working stiffs in BOTH countries united [or should be] against the World Federalist traitors in power in both countries.)

I’ve been watching the BBC, German and French news.
Glen Beck is lying.
Every major news organization we have is full of it.
The English, French and the Germans are NATO allies of ours.
This operation is an American one and we are spinning it our way.
The Germans and the French have held up the vote to allow Georga into NATO because they are smart enough to know the Russians really really don’t want it.
The English want Georga in NATO and they still report contrary to our (useless to us) news outlets.

Looking at the map again I have realized that that was written by someone with Cyrillic background and could be a fraud.
Unless it was written by a Georgian that speaks English.
Look at handwritten the #2.

The US had 1000 soldiers in Georgia for a training/wargames project called Immediate Response 2008, and have been funding the Georgian military since 2002.

CNN is maintaining that they don’t know where 15,000 Russian troops are in Georgia but–at the very same time–are claiming that these troops are moving ‘further into Georgia.’ They cut between these insinuations and the empty posturing and anti-Russian rhetoric of Condomlizzard Lice and her boss…the ‘empty hat.’

Their President speaks english and they are considered western allies. Their president is a US puppet. The US Mi;itary conducted training exercises witht hem last month. There were reports of Americans fighting with the Georgia troops.
I find it way too funny that you claim it is a fraud because whom ever wrote on the map knows english. Come on, enough with your nuff said! Your comment may be the dumbest I have read on this site or any site for that matter.

The map has too little detail to be of use. I would think if the Georgians planned to ‘go hot’ on the Abkhazian side that they would have tactical maps with overlays to mark troop positions, directions of movement and the tactical dispositions of opposing forces. Noticeably lacking is any arty or armoured units…
Russian intelligence is overplaying their hand. The Georgians started the festivities…they just didn’t plan on being the turkey that was going to be carved up…Russia doesn’t need an excuse to help Abhkazia. Georgia has shown itself to be a monstrous aggressor and the steps Russia is taking have the support of the inhabitants of that land–screw Georgia.
Leave Georgia unoccuppied, bereft of its oppressed minorities and with Georgians looking for someone to blame…Saakashvili has a lot to look forward to…

The Georgian government is being set-up.
This was a ploy to draw Russia into a conflict. The end result will be Georgia being allowed to join NATO and South Ossetia becoming a protectorate of the UN with NATO peacekeepers inserted. This will install a buffer zone between Russia (North Ossetia) and that darn pipeline.
The whole operation was done by NATO for this purpose and the Georgian government/Saakashvili had no clue. It was black-ops.
This is a guess and I’m probably wrong.
