A massive snowstorm is sweeping across the central United States, cutting road and air transport links.
Blizzard warnings have been issued for Iowa, Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Texas and Wisconsin.
Icy roads are being blamed for the deaths of 18 people in Nebraska and Kansas.
Forecasters say up to two feet or 60 centimetres of snow has fallen in the storm which is spanning nearly two thirds of the country, stranding motorists in what is normally one of the busiest travel periods of the year.
