Climate Change Alarmist Claims Arrival of Summer Is Really Global Warming

In what amounts to little more than a three paragraph rant, a well known British climate change alarmist has announced that the onset of a glorious spell of Summer weather has uniformly silenced climate change “deniers”.
London Guardian contributor George Monbiot, today asks “Have the climate change deniers abandoned us during the heatwave?“
His central, and indeed his only point seems to be that because it is hot at the moment in the South East of England, this can be used to counter those who question the “consensus” on climate change because they cite the fact that temperatures around the world are actually decreasing.
Once again using the inane and extremely derogatory term of “denier” for anyone who raises questions over the theory of man made global warming, Monbiot fires his way through an immature explosion of words that may as well read “TOLD YOU SO, TOLD YOU SO, NAH NAH NAH NAH NAH.”
The fact that it is the height of Summer and this is the first time in three years that this country has seen any kind of agreeable weather, seems to be a secondary point to those like Monbiot, who would have us believe that we’re all going to keel over and die unless we start paying vast amounts of taxes to politicians and carbon trading businessmen.
As several comments to Monbiot’s blog point out, the so called “heatwave” is confined primarily to London and the South East of England and is scheduled to last just a couple of days. After this, temperatures are due to return to the average 18 or 19 degrees celsius.
Still, this hasn’t stopped the usual suspects from crawling out of their global warming survival bunkers to grace us with their ill informed opinions and ravings:
“Well said George, climate change deniers are gutless human filth.” one commenter posts.
“Down here in Australia, we had a murderous heatwave which killed over 400 people. A few deniers piped up saying ‘well there was a hotter day in 1939 so this means nothing’. A few weeks later we had a 47 degree day, 2 degrees higher than ever before, in 150 years of records.” the comment continues.
“After the murderous heat, this finally silence the climate denying morons (who of course, now had blood on their hands) but since then they’ve managed to slither back again with their typical lies.”
Perhaps we should go over some of those “typical lies” again, in an attempt to bring some kind of sanity to a person who believes that 400 isolated deaths over the course of one Summer constitutes a global heatwave that is killing the planet.

Those who act as shills for the climate change hoax may believe that anyone who dares challenge the orthodoxy of the church of global warming is automatically a heretic and that no evidence whatsoever needs to even be presented to counter their sacrilege, but here in the real world we prefer to stick to the facts.
Empirical satellite data shows that mean global temperatures are the same that they were 30 years ago and that global sea ice is also at similar levels. Following a spike in global temperatures at the end of the last century that coincided with the sun undergoing its most active period in recent times, the planet has now cooled to 1979 levels. At the end of summer last year, despite hysterical predictions that the North Pole would be free of ice for the first time in history, Arctic sea ice had actually expanded by 30 per cent, an area the size of Germany.
Coinciding with expanding ice sheets, there has been no rise in sea levels for the past three years. Tropical storms and extreme weather events attributed to global warming like hurricanes and typhoons are at a record low.
The United Nations’s IPCC, the heavily politicized organization that is often erroneously cited as an independent scientific body by climate change promoters, was last year caught citing fake data to make the case that global warming is accelerating, a shocking example of mass public deception.
“This was startling,” reported the London Telegraph. “Across the world there were reports of unseasonal snow and plummeting temperatures last month, from the American Great Plains to China, and from the Alps to New Zealand. China’s official news agency reported that Tibet had suffered its “worst snowstorm ever”. In the US, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration registered 63 local snowfall records and 115 lowest-ever temperatures for the month, and ranked it as only the 70th-warmest October in 114 years.”
It soon came to light that the data produced by NASA to make the claim, and in particular temperature records covering large areas of Russia, was merely carried over from the previous month. NASA had used temperature records from the naturally hotter month of September and claimed they represented temperature figures for October.
As David Deming points out in his excellent article today, temperature data collected by weather stations is being artificially impacted by measuring systems placed nearby to sources of heat. This is why claims that global temperatures are still rising are completely contradicted by real world evidence of falling temperatures and what some scientists are warning is the beginning of a new ice age.
“Why do people think the planet is warming?,” writes Deming. “One reason is that the temperature data from weather stations appear to be hopelessly contaminated by urban heat effects. A survey of the 1221 temperature stations in the US by meteorologist Anthony Watts and his colleagues is now more than 80 percent complete. The magnitude of putative global warming over the last 150 years is about 0.7 �C. But only 9 percent of meteorological stations in the US are likely to have temperature errors lower than 1 �C. More than two-thirds of temperature sensors used to estimate global warming are located near artificial heating sources such as air conditioning vents, asphalt paving, or buildings. These sources are likely to introduce artifacts greater than 2 �C into the temperature record.”
“Every year in the US, more than forty thousand people are killed in traffic accidents. But not one single person has ever been killed by global warming. The number of species that have gone extinct from global warming is exactly zero. Both the Antarctic and Greenland Ice Sheets are stable. The polar bear population is increasing. There has been no increase in infectious disease that can be attributed to climate change. We are not currently experiencing more floods, droughts, or forest fires,” he concludes.
As we have attempted to warn, the major beneficiaries of the climate bill will be the elitists who own the carbon trading systems that will be used to handle the ‘cap and trade’ program, namely Al Gore and Maurice Strong, two figures intimately involved with a long standing movement to use the theory of man made global warming as a mechanism for profit and social engineering.
Gore�s investment company, Generation Investment Management, which sells carbon offset opportunities, is the largest shareholder of The Chicago Climate Exchange (CCX).
While Maurice Strong, who is regularly credited as founding father of the modern environmental movement, serves on the board of directors of CCX. Strong was a leading initiate of the Earth Summit in the early 90s, where the theory of global warming caused by CO2 generated by human activity was most notably advanced.

I agree that you simple cant go outside and say “MAN ITS HOT, ITS THAT GLOBAL WARMING” cause you cant, the effect of global warming cannot be seen this way, you need census from year to year..

But that global warming is happening is still a fact I’ve mentioned this before I think, if you need an extreme case of Global Warming you need not look further than Venus, our sister planet the greenhouse gasses there have pumped the temperatures to scolding hot, 480degree’s centigrade if I remember correctly..
Politicians can use the fact of global warming without it being a hoax, its called being oppertunist’s (spell correctly?, not english ^^)

Global temperatures flat-lined around 1999 and have be declining since 2001. The FACT is, our current global mean temperature (verifiable from a variety of sources) is precisely where it was right around 1979, or approximately .04C above the “magical” mean average for the time period 1880-2008. Even GISS data sets (which have greatly diverged from the more accurate satellite temperatures) shows a decline in temperatures. All real-world empirical evidence supports this as well. The Arctic sea-ice extent has recovered to near average, the Antarctic sea-ice extent is above average, the Antarctic continental ice is above average, the Antarctic continental temperature has been dropping and is below average, the “Greenland ice melt” is over and Greenland land-ice is above average, Greenland sea-ice extent has recovered, more than 115 all-time low temperature records were set in the month of May’09 here in the U.S., more than 800 low temperature records were either matched or broken in the U.S. during the month of May’09. Meanwhile, solar cycle 24 has still not begun, the current sun spot count is ZERO, the Solar Flux is at 68 (very low), the A-Index is at 5 (notched up a little bit), solar scientists are predicting low activity for solar cycle 24 when it does come, CERN is now theorizing that GCR’s (Galactic Cosmic Ray’s) may actually be a primary driver of climate and in particular cloud cover and precipitation, and after a successful CLOUD06 experiment, they will now proceed to validate this theory with the CLOUD09 experiment, this theory (and empirical evidence through experimentation, NOT MODELS) is highly suggesting that the impact of GCR’s on our climate DWARFS anything that GHG’s (greenhouse gasses) can ever attribute to our climate. And the list goes on and on and on and on… Before making such a statement as “global warming is happening”, I suggest you do two things, one, pull your head out of where ever it is and look outside! and two, open your eyes and do a little elementary research!

Venus has absolutely NOTHING to do with Earth. While it is true that Earth and Venus are very close in size, that is where the similarity ends. Venus has 300x the atmospheric mass of Earth’s atmosphere. The Venusian atmosphere is composed of more than 95% CO2 (compared to 0.000384% for Earth), the ambient pressure at the surface of Venus is 99.7 bar (almost 100x times the pressure of Earth), Venus has NO H2O in its atmosphere and rains sulfuric acid. Get a clue! Venus is NOTHING like Earth, Earth is NOTHING like Venus. This whole Venus vs. Earth issue stems from a comment taken out of context made by Stephen Hawking back in 1988, and further popularized by Al Gore in 1990. Further, Venus is NOT hot because of any greenhouse effect, very little visible light is even able to make it to the surface to warm it, which is what is required to have a greenhouse effect, the surface and core of Venus is hot, that is, planetary hot! In FACT, Venus is one of the only bodies in our solar system that gives off heat, that heat is then trapped, not by any greenhouse effect, but by the sheer pressure of the atmosphere above it, the IR becomes trapped by the volume and density of the atmosphere itself (would still hold true with almost any gas at that pressure and density), and by the way, the Venus surface temperature is 467C, which also happens to be almost the same temperature in the upper levels of its atmosphere, why? Because it is being heated from the surface, despite the fact that the sun cannot heat its surface! Also interesting to note that the temperature on the dark side of Venus is the same as the light side, despite the fact that it takes 117 Earth days to rotate! You can tell someone that doesn’t know a thing about our world and our solar system, when they spout out such utterly ridiculous quotes as “the Earth is going to become Venus”, or even trying to make the futile attempt of comparing Earth to Venus. Venus atmosphere NEVER had water on its surface! Venus doesn’t have Nitrogen, Venus doesn’t have Oxygen! The Earth’s atmosphere is made of Nitrogen (78.08%), Oxygen (20.95%), Water Vapor (1%), Argon (0.93%), CO2 (0.000384%) + trace gasses. They are NOTHING alike!

If we are all poor they have the power over the world and all that is in it belongs to them to experiment on including us. I spoke to the climate earlier and it says it’s not after money… It wants us to START SACRIFICING VIRGINS AGAIN!
It told me that it misses the old days and really would love some fresh virgins. I told it that it should just become a muslim terrorist martyr and it would get 72 virgins upon its death after killing some infidels… but it wouldn’t bite — The Climate doesn’t even believe Al Qaeda exists.
So, I guess we’re screwed either way unless we get a shitload of virgins and a volcano.

Call up someone from the Northern states and ask them if they still get the same amount of snow they used to in winter and it stays on the ground. Back in the 40’s and 50’s it was not uncommon to have 4 feet of snow on the ground at all times. Now the cities and counties have sold and or reduced the amount of snow removal equipment because they don’t have the need they used to for it. The snowmobile industry has been hit hard. It is important that that we not add fuel to the fire and stop trashing our planet. Would you have the city dump in your backyard? Or how about you call up the feds and let them know they can store the radioactive waste in your backyard. I didn’t think so.

Dear Naturalist: You are a F@#*king idiot. I am from NH, that’s up north, and this past winter has been COLD and SNOWY jerkoff. The city budget ran out of money for the snow plows halfway through the season because of the RECORD SNOW FALLS. The last snowflakes fell in LATE APRIL!!!!. We had roof collapses because of the accumulated weight of the snow. I have arms like Popeye from shoveling. Spout your crap around me and I’ll knock you on your ass.

Here in Ohio, the past two or three winters school was cancelled because of cold weather several times–wind chills getting pretty nasty. Snow has been staying on the ground a LOT longer, and don’t forget the Blizzard of March 2008 we had!
I hadn’t seen snow stick around like that since my childhood in Michigan.

He’s right about International Falls. Another thing to remember is International Falls MN is one of the coldest places in the USA which is why there is a more obvious temp change over a period of time. Mind you this has happened many times on Earth. Temp change is not a new thing nor is it a massive problem. I think it’s important to try to realize there are warming and cooling patterns happening all the time on Earth which is what you should expect from a planet with seasons and a precession in it’s orbit. The planet will warm, the planet will cool, it’s not a fridge with the temp stuck in the middle. I think however we can all agree this entire thing is and has been created by assholes who want us to cower in fear while they empty our pockets. Nobody likes pollution and that’s all i see coming out of the mouths of our so called leaders.

i happen to live in ny and we still have terrible winters, last winter was no exception it was hard to keep warm i had to have my gas turned up full blast and had huge gas bills to pay. we ALWAYS get snow in the winter and always will. there is no such thing as global warming thousands of scientists have proved this. just another way to tax the people and make us their slaves. and all the damn shit they spray into our atmosphere from planes is probably what is causing strange weather patterns all over the world not any natural global warming. there is a reason for everything and anything out of the ordinary is most likely man-made, they can mainpulate the weather you know! chemtrails to make us sick and change the weathetr is the only thing screwing up our weather.

I’ve been laying a concrete roof in the Andalucian sun all day. 40 degrees, an the poofs in England cant handle 33. ha ha. No, seriously, like the article says, when it gets hot now everyone cries climate change. Its always hot in the summer. Everyone just reads in to it now. The old boys around here in the mountains mentioned a weather pattern to me called La Cabanuela, and it has been exactly as they said, so our weather patterns are still there!

Why do they need to charge tax, charge money, induce costs on big businesses (which will come back to us anyway)

I live in the desert of Southern California and this spring has been the coolest that I remember in 25 years. Just 2 days ago the heat of the summer finally kicked in and it’s late by about 3 weeks. Most every year we never have a spring. It goes from very cool winter right into hot, hot summer. This year a gorgeous spring lasted about 3 months with temps in the 70’s and 80’s. Also the winter was awsome here in the southwest with a snow storm that’s unheard off a grand total of 2 and a half feet in one storm! I thought I was living in Alaska this winter. And the plants loved it, they are thriving now.
The global warming hysteria is total bull. If anything expect next winter in the northeast to be bitterly cold with lots of snow. Tell Al Gore to strip naked and tie him to a sled and push him down a hill with all the kids laughing at him and the dog snapping at his nuts.

I wish the idiots would send some global warming to my little corner of the world. Today is June 30th and it’s not ever 70 degrees here today. Down to the low 50’s tonight. 90’s would be more common for here right now. But then, the sun doesn’t shine through those heavy chem trails very well.

Monbiot’s right, though – the mainstream press in the UK responds to whatever’s happening that day and takes a short term view. When we get bad weather they ask if global warming’s over, when it’s hot the deniers don’t get so much airtime.
Also, re the faking of data – I can remember the persistent citing of an article in the Daily Mail which pointed out that last Easter (in March) was the coldest in nearly a hundred years yet it was referred to on here as saying that April was the coldest on record. Sometimes people make mistakes.

Im in Austrialia now and im wearing 2 jumpers, 2 warm jeans,2 pairs of socks and a beanie and im cold.I heard there is a time of year that it gets hot um its called summer i think.I havent seen chemtrails for a few weeks and it is raining.

When you think about it in REALISTIC terms, the changing of the seasons IS climate change so yes, summer REALLY IS climate change!
The only real difference is that now they want to create a huge new tax because we have seasons that change several times a year and tell you it’s BAD and they need trillions of dollars to fix it. WTF?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?

Antarica is meling more and more.
In southern Australia we are now in our 13th year of drought with record low levels of water for Melbourne and last year for Brisbane until it began rain on the coast of southern Queensland. Black Saurday early this year was like hell on earth here in Victoria where it was 45C and the extreme weather helped to drive the bush fires so large and fast that over 200 people died in a state that is well experienced and equipped to deal with summer bush fires.
It can be still be cold in winter and hot in summer but on average it is getting warmer.
Climate is weather over a long time eg 100s and 1000s of years not 10 or 20. Since the industrial revolution the planet has been getting warmer. There is tons of reputible scientific evidence to support this it is not a “church of climate change” but the science of global warming…

Not true. When the biggest boom of industry was going on – 1946 to the late 70’s or so – temperatures were getting cooler. You only need look at Mr. Gore’s chart to prove this. A volcano spews more greenhouse gasses into the atmosphere in one eruption than man has since the industrial revolution began. How many volcanoes erupt on a daily basis?
When you quote “Facts” be sure and get them right. There is NO science that proves global warming or climate change or whatever the h they are calling it nowadays is caused by man. There is NO science that shows temp’s rising, there is NO science that shows sea levels rising, DATA COLLECTED disproves everything the alarmists are touting so they can tax you more and have more control over you.
The camp that says CO2 is the problem has no idea how CO2 behaves nor do they know that it is essential to our survival. Higher levels of CO2 means plant can produce more oxygen and the only consequence of that is a healthier population.

Here in BC, Canada, we just got hit with a FURTHER 3.5 cent tax per liter (13.25 cents/US gallon) today. Happy Canada Day. This is further to the initial implementation of 2.7 cents/liter last year and a further 2 cents next year at this time. It is supposed to be revenue neutral but All I see is a further ~ $250 a year of my hard earned money being stolen through taxation making it harder to feed my family. Now I have to earn another $250 per year because of it so my prices have to go up.

OK ..you say they have bees stored at the seed bank or wherever to bring out of storage,once 6 billion of us are dead ..

None of this really involves science. As always;” Follow the money.” Who gains? Who loses? All the “facts” on the man made warming side seem to be generated by computer models. My thought has always been; “If they can’t predict the weather accurately 5 to 7 days out, how are we to believe a model that is reaching 50 years into the future. Well here’s a test. We know the data from the last 50 years. With a start date of 1959, plug that data into your program and let’s see if the result approximates the known conditions of this day. Simple. Any takers?

I tell you what…in july…over here near the nations capital it is cold as shit…night time here we are in the high 60’s lol fuck all of you global climate change warming/cooling gimme urdollar assholes. Not saying the weather isnt nice but usually we are pushing 100 by now with hella humidity which makes it 100 times worse but this year…it is cool very cool with almost no humidity. Good flying weather since the density altitude is almost unchanged
