In the peer reviewed book “Global Warming—Global Cooling, Natural Cause Found”, meteorologist and climate researcher David Dilley utilizes nearly a half million years of data linking long term gravitational cycles of the moon explain the recent global warming, rises in carbon dioxide levels, and for 2200 global warming cycles during the past half million years.

Global temperatures have cooled during the past 12 months. During 2008 and 2009 the first stage of global cooling will cool the world’s temperatures to those observed during the years from the 1940s through the 1970s. By the year 2023 global climate will become similar to the colder temperatures experienced during the 1800s.
Mr. Dilley of Global Weather Oscillations has found seven different types of recurring gravitational cycles ranging from the very warm 460,000 year cycle down to a 230 year recurring global warming cycle. All of the gravitational cycles coincide nearly 100 percent with 2200 global warming events during the past half million years. This includes the earth’s current warming cycle which began around the year 1900, and the first stage of global cooling that will begin during 2008 and 2009.
The release of the book “Global Warming- Global Cooling, Natural Cause Found” culminates 19 years of research clearly linking gravitational cycles as the cause for fluctuations within the earth’s climate. One of the farmer’s almanac’s looks at the same thing, moon orbit patterns and sunspot patterns as determinates of climate. It says this winter will be especially cold in New England and the northern square states.
Air polution is real. Ground level ozone is real. Smog is real. All are products of, among other things, the combustion engine, which should have been rendered obsolete decades ago. I’m opposed to a global gubbermint and more taxes, but cars are old technology that needs to be replaced with newer better means of locomotion.

Nice link that shows exactly what I mean. The liar refuses to answer even simple questions like “what were the names of the reviewers” with anything other than “buy my e-book and see”.
He variously states that the “correlation is nearly 100%”, then “IS 100%” then “is 100% with an approximate cycle” to “is greater than 80%” and then finally “I have not done any statistical analysis, I just overlaid graphs”…
It’s bollocks. The only people who even remotely agree with him are people who either have no idea, or who have their own hairbrained theories.
The good part is, he has made a definite prediction that will falsify his theory (even though he refuses to admit that) if it fails to come true. So now, all we have to do is wait a few months and see if an El Nino does indeed start in December this year. Unfortunately that won’t PROVE his thesis, but it will go a long way to supporting it. Time will tell.

The Sun of course is a factor, but it is FAR from the “single motor”. The changes of the Sun are of such a small magnitude, that the total difference from maximum and minimum is less than 0.1%, no where near enough to be responsible for the warming seen.

I’m not sure exactly what you are saying, because your post is rather confused.
Here is what I am saying in a nutshell:
There is no such thing as a “peer reviewed book”. What Dilley has done is SELECT four people (who he refuses to name) and asked THEM to review his book. That is no different to what you get on a fiction novel! I could find four people to say anything I want (even unpaid) about anything I want, and have the same credibility as Dilley.
Peer review is NOT about an author selecting a few people to review his work. It is about independent reviewers hired by a third party, a journal for example, to ensure that the quality of work is up to the standards required by that journal. Science, or Nature are only as trustworthy as the studies they allow to be printed, so they have a vested interest in ensuring those studies are factual and valid (note this is NOT the same as “true” – a study can be valid and still come to the wrong conclusions).
Secondly, the claims Dilley has made are NOT being supported. He tells you to read his book, but to do that you have to pay him. Thus, even if you then decide he is a lying bastard, it’s too late he already has your money.
What little information IS public does not support the claims of certainty that he has made. Even if he HAD found a correlation, he would still have to show why other factors have NOT had the effect they have been measured to have.
He would have to show that not only has rising CO2 not caused the warming, he would have to show WHY, when it is a physical fact proven by both experimentation and observation that CO2 is a Greenhouse Gas. If CO2 WASN’T causing warming, then our understanding of PHYSICS would have to be wrong. You see, AGW is not just a concoction of computer models like the liars and deniers constantly claim, but is the result of centuries of work and understanding of fields such as particle physics and thermodynamics.
You can’t just throw all that work away without showing WHY, and it is highly doubtful that Dilley could have done that in 40 pages.
