CNN Censors Federal Reserve Rant?
Peter Schiff identifies real cause of financial disaster, CNN cuts the feed

Technical difficulties or deliberate censorship? CNN does not usually afford a soapbox to Peter Schiff because he’s one of a rare breed of financial analysts, he can actually identify the root of the problem - the Federal Reserve.
So when Schiff was cut off during the height of his rant against the Fed, many of our readers questioned whether it was a deliberate act of sabotage.
Used to doling out a steady diet of bailout propaganda on a daily basis, CNN bosses were probably not amused when Schiff started to blame the government’s obsession with rescuing failed companies for the deepening severity of the economic crisis.

“Capitalism is not about propping up failed companies, we need to let them fail,” said Schiff, before adding, “Now of course behind it all is the Federal Reserve, if the Federal Reserve had not intervened….had they not poured all this alcohol then Wall Street wouldn’t have got drunk, but they did.”
“I am convinced that everything the government is doing to fight this off is gonna make….” said Schiff before the feed was cut.
Conspiracy or technical gremlins? Either way, it’s unlikely that CNN will invite Schiff back on should he continue to dare tell the truth about the real culprits behind the grand larceny undertaken by the government and the Federal Reserve, the cost of which now stands at $8.5 trillion dollars.

How many times do major networks have technical glitches like this? Get used to it, and don’t be surprised if he’s somehow framed. They need to chill these rebels who have the audacity to speak out you know and the first place they hit them is in the wallet. There’s a lot of criminals behind this who are sticking their necks out to get this major con through. They’ll do anything: lie, cheat, steal, kill so they don’t end up as cons. They lose though even if they win. We all know that.

hey # 3, outta all the interviews on CNN how many are cut, gimme a break, they totally pulled the plug on this guy, they don’t like it when people say things that go against the fake spoon fed stories we get. if you look at CNN headlines everyday you would see this, the market always ralies or tretreats for a specific “reason” The market has both rallied and retreated for the same reason at least a dozen times last month. Either 1 action will help or hurt the economy not both, don’t be naive.

ya number 7 i’ve never seen the bars when they lost a feed NEVER, and i’ve only seen them loose a feed about 6 times over the last 15 years that i’ve watched that is, in all the cases of lost feeds i’ve seen, it was always people on a cheesy sat uplink that were out on the combat field like dessert storm, afghan, iraq, that is understandable, he was linked through them on many different levels, he had hard line connection, sat uplink, fiber optic, you mean to tell me that all of the feeds collapsed but we were still actually watching the news, had all those feeds collapsed the CNN broadcast woulda stopped, again #3 your naive

It was Totally a intentional cut. Look how he doesnt let her talk much, to a point where she must cut him off. Then her questioning becomes defensive and critical of his views. At the end she has an almost “you must be crazy” tone. Then when he brings up the Federal Reserve BOOM no more interview.

If they bring him back to finish his sentence (and it ends with “makes it worse”) then maybe it was accidental (?). Why wouldn`t they want to repair a mutilated interview, only seems fair. If it was cut on purpose, perhaps it was cut somewhere outside CNN ?? That could explain why CNN did hire him knowing his views. Maybe some agency or whatever decided to jam the line somewhere.

What I did find very interesting was the “distraction news” style or format of the broadcast. In other words you had unrelated motion graphic text in the lower left, the newscaster and the interviewee were pushed in to a tiny window on the right, a very large moving picture of a building then Obama in the main window, just tons of unrelated crap going on in addition to the interview. All so you are distracted and dont toatally absorb what Schiff is saying. Then they finally give him full screen in preparation to “pull the plug” that color bar is exactly what happens when the source is either powered off or disconnected. oops!

Peter Schiff has been laughed at, mocked, and derided by nearly every channel anchor–from CNBC, to CNN, to FOX. And, all the while, he keeps on telling the truth; and he’s been right on the money [pun entirely intended] the whole time. These corporate cable liars just don’t get it; but some of us viewers do. The anchors look increasingly ridiculous mocking someone who’s right all the time. Whether or not this was deliberate, the fact is that CNN should have MORE, not LESS of Peter Schiff; but they don’t want anyone to know just how bad things really are–depression-era bad.

Whatever he was going to say was likely powerful stuff if they in fact cut him. Remember, there is a delay between the capture of the feed and the viewer actually seeing it. They likely heard and saw it and cut it just as quick as when they dump out on the F bomb on talk radio. Or, MAYBE it was technical, but I doubt it. IMO, the govt licensed “news” networks have Schiff as a guest with only one purpose in mind and that is to discredit him. The networks hosts always attack him. They were successful for years. They still try, but no longer are they successful. They may have him on again but if they do, their mission will be the same.
In order to maintain their control of public opinion, if they cannot dismiss him and his arguments (which they cannot) they will simply continue with and emphasize Plan “B”. Plan “B” is to have on as guests so-called economists with opposing opinions. Instead of having 50 guests with opinions opposite of Schiff for every one time Schiff is on, they will have 100 such guests.
IMO, it’s very easy to see how “our” media is nothing but a propaganda tool for the cabal of corporations that have grown up around the central bank. An honest media would inform the citizenry. And the best way to do that in regards to the state of and the future of our economy would be to have as guests those economists whose track record establishes their credibility. But when we witness a day-in and day-out barrage of of guests welcomed into the network studios and thus into our living rooms via the govt controlled airwaves with track records of the worst sorts, we must conclude the agenda of the networks is to guide the citizenry, like a herd of cattle, to where and how they can best be used to serve the interests promoted by the wrong-headed guests.

That was a satellite going out of range and not having another feed stet up to crossover to. it happens all the time. they are moving and they don’t stay linked for ever. some are in higher orbits but with those there is a noticeable delay more so than with a low orbiting feed. They simply ran out of time is all. they are not set up to automatically switch feeds like telphonetraffic does or internet traffic. He’ll be on again. I was in europe and there are people saying much the same thing with the anchors arguing that it would be more painful not to bailout etc. Abolish the Fed and use real currency. the pain will be in switching but we will all be alot better off faster. fiat currencies around the world are having trouble even the Euro. it is fairing better right now but not for long. Also I was in Amsterdam in the last 2 weeks. It cost nearly 80 dollars to have chinese food for 2 at a hole in the wall place. expensive not matter what the currency. Things are very pricey there and it is due to government taxation of course. So they will follow once they do not have a US market to sell to.

I think youtube is posting ’some’ videos on slow cache servers or they’ve purposely limited the bandwidth of those servers to cause videos to stutter intentionally; to maybe discourage viewership! Becoz, i noticed that every cutting edge video i try to view, (with my high speed 100mb lan) stutters to buffer ever 500ms or so…BUT…everything will be alrite

Regardless of whether there was a satellite transmission issue, as Sean suggests, you can feel the angst building in CNN’s female commentator. She’s stammering and trying to reign Peter back onto the party line. As most who visit this site know, Peter is spot on. I think the interesting revolution that should come from this will be the savvy investors increasingly turning away from these market commentary shows as they continue to push their BS analysis past the point of absurdity.

I have an official government book on the Federal Reserve. My thyen Congressman, James Utt who represented Orange County and Northern San Diego County sent it to me on request. It was printed in 1958. It has the original “Fed” Act of 1913 and subsequent revisions. It has a lot of financial tables that are boring. But, it also tells the truth that the “Fed” is indeed a private corporation and in spite of having 12 branch offices is rewally controlled by the New York headquarters. What is interesting is that it DOES NOT name the Class “A” shareholders.. You could probably get copies of House Banking and Currency Comm. hearings under chairs Wright Patman and Henry Gonzales. Both understood what the “Fed” was and said some interesting things in public about it. Both were from Texas as is Ron Paul.

80 and 81 when the morons building these cars make more than the mechanic fixing their mistakes there is a problem. I’ve been a dealership tech for 20 years. they’ve been making crap for a long time. Fords are built to last 36000 miles before problems. and the dealer will see it an average 4 times before warranty runs out. I have worked for Ford, GM and Chrysler I don’t own an American built vehicle. My Toyota has cost me $75 in repairs in 100k miles not counting maintenance. Name one American car that can say that. We build crap. At least when you buy a foreign car they stand behind it. Let them suck exhaust, let them fail.

Peter Schiff was actually on australian media recently, a show called Dateline, he is one smart dude. He ripped another american economist to pieces, totally making a fool out of him in every aspect when the other guy was saying it was ‘good’ for the federally reserve to be doing what it was doing and that the USA government would make more money from the bailouts than it would lose. Everytime I get invited to a new radio station for the first time, the on-air controller asks me what all I intend to talk about. The reason is that the on-air controller by LAW (FCC regs) must CUT-OFF blacked out words and phrases. WHY does the FCC have such regs? Well imagine what would happen if a Klu-Klux-Klan chief got on the air of a major radio station and starting airing hate speach and inciting riots. REAL PEOPLE could get hurt and killed as a result. Sad but true.
At any rate, the on-air controllers have the ability to either run the show in either LIVE mode or in DELAYED mode. To understand this, you must understand that the on-air controller has to listen to both the LIVE conversation as it happens; and the brocast conversation as it is broacast. In this way the on-air controller can deal with a host of technical issues on the fly. In LIVE mode, the controller hears both sides at the same time. In delayed mode, the controller hears a continous echo (normally set a 7 seconds). The delayed mode is used when hot headded radio show guests are likely to speak forth blacklisted material (including foul language); the delayed mode is what allows the on-air controller to blank out the cussing and what not from being broadcast.
EVERY LIVE BROADCAST be it T.V. or Radio is required to have a controller at a cut-off switch.
So this brings us past the question of weather or not he was cut off… HELL YES HE WAS CUT OFF. BUT WHY?

A little overblown of a story, head over to europac.net, Peter posts all the tv interviews he does. He has been preaching this forever - that why censorship isn’t likely IMHO. They would have been pretty well aware what he was going to say.
Also he does a 1 hour radio show once a week, which is pretty good too, check that out.

Peter Schiffs comments were intelligent and realistic. I have heard him speak before and i think he has helped me open my mind and see through the fog. I have no doubt that him being cut off right before making comments that might be considered underming to our ” Soveigrn” government was not an accident.

2. Some time ago I saw a guess cut off right when he was pulling a copy of (Ayn Rand’s) Atlas Shrugged from a briefcase on the floor. Face of the book was turned to the camera, but then the show cut to a commercial. It was back when the government was going after Microsoft. The book bears re-reading!!

This censoring by CNN is not surprising, when you consider the history of where the heads of the Networks got their start..David Sarnoff, the old RCA/ GE executive, started as an intelligence agent for the British. Also included, is William Paley the former CBS exec..also started as an intelligence agent..All the network executives are part of the CFR, and want no substantive info on the Fed leaked out( to late for that)..
