I think you guys are confused. They WERE in studio, but the could have been in Saudi Arabian hotel too. Those are not mutually exclusive. People take sets with them. And it’s pretty common to act strange when you think you might die at any moment. This is coming from someone who’s served in the Infantry and has personally known MANY people who’ve been close to death. People frequently crack jokes and downplay the real danger, especially with others, when in these kinds of situations. Think about the joke where he said he was going to go get a burger. Someone off-set gave them an all-clear. THEN he made his joke about going to do something manly (because he wasn’t scared) since it was all clear.
I’m not saying this is definitely real, but it’s not definitely fake either. You guys are WAY too extreme, and you hurt your real causes when you go off on these kinds of tangents. Basically, I’ve now lost a great deal of respect for everything else you’ve done based on the fact that you also did this.
Stop hurting your solid message (if you still have one) by doing this kind of garbage. You talk about sheeple yet you are no better when you thoughtlessly embrace the perspective given to you by those posting here.
The mainstream media lies to you, but so do people who hate the mainstream media. Grow up and THINK for yourselves.

Okay it was real..aside from the sky, the hotel backdrop, the street, the rocket fly by, the sirens… The laughable play acted “put your gas mask!” , the smell of rocket exhaust, and the fact that they were IN A FREAKING STUDIO..the plastic palm tree…
i mean other than THAT, sure it might have been real….

The author of this clip truly hurt his credibility when he referred to the very people he was appealing to as “sheeple.” The term is often used by manic conspiracy theorists and anarchists, neither of whom command a great deal of respect. The reporter was in the middle east, in a studio. Was it proper for CNN to promote the acting out of what was happening outside the studio as news? Of course not; however, their intentions were not as malicious as the author of this clip would have everyone believe.

I remember seeing this on the news – when it happened – and yes CNN absolutely WAS trying to decieve people.
This is a great clip – another glimpse at the great lie which is corporate news.
Remember – there are many uninitiated out there – and knowledge is power.
I could easily tell that most of the “news” clips were staged back during this time – but most of my college buddies – and certainly all of our parents – were completely fooled by it.
Just because we take out insight for granted doesn’t mean there aren’t many many “sheeple” who need to be awakened.
If nothing else – we should all forward these things – just to add a little glitch in the matrix.

The clip never implies that the reporter was ever pretending “not” to be in a studio. As another commenter noted – this is standard practice. A “live shoot” in a war zone is often shot from a makeshift studio, often in hotel basements. We can’t tell if this was presented in any other way, because the clip is taken out of context. This clip reinforces that because there is absolutely no attempt made to hide the studio – windows are visible, the door, etc. Some plastic trees in a hotel lobby is not a media conspiracy. If CNN wanted to build a “set,” they could certainly do a better job than this.
The SCUD missile was clearly presented as a prop – not as an actual missile.
Additionally, shots of Jaco laughing in front of the camera prove nothing.

Lastly with the credibility of this “live report” shot all to hell…
How do we know that:
A: it WAS shot in Saudi Arabia?
B: it really shot and aired “live”
I would just love to give CNN the “benefit of the doubt” as you seem to have, but the truth is in all my years on this planet CNN has never given me reason to extend them that courtesy.

They were clearly in a small studio, you didn’t even have to point that out its so obvious. But that small studio could have been in Saudi Arabia. In fact if they were in Saudi Arabia why the hell would they bother filming outside? It was a film studio, with a fake tree because studios always have fake trees. Big deal. And yea, they overdramatised the news clips, just like all news channels over dramatize the news, and much the same way you are over dramatizing your own clip, adding static sound effects and conspiracy babble and, best of all, anti-establishment terms like “sheeple”. I agree that truth should always be known and frauds always outed but videos like this are just pathetic attention grabbing.
And yea they were laughing and joking during the filming. Probably because they were getting paid way more money then you or me.

Media is the fourth branch of the United States Government. They spew misinformation at such a rappid flow it makes the water falling from Niagra Falls look like it’s standing still. Their propaganda is intended to sway, divert or soften public opinion. The television, newspapers and radio networks are doing this at a rate that resembeles no other time in the history of the US. Please everyone, beware of who and what you believe!

I like a good conspiracy theory as much as the next guy but I don’t see any evidence that this isn’t in Saudi Arabia.
1. It’s in the morning but it oh so bright! Duh, that’s because they have bright lights shining on them, hardly that out there for a news crew on remote.
2. I keep hearing claims this is shot in a studio, but the way the leaves on the palm trees move belies that it is outside (maybe they are using a giant fan? Then how come we can’t hear the fan?)
3. What the big deal about the door handle? Do they not have door handles in Saudi Arabia?
4. I think people are assuming that the blue background is the sky (or a fake sky), but in fact it’s just a regular old wall, the “sky” is actually the black area in between (not too suprising since it’s six in the morning and the sun is just dawning and they are under very bright lights). You can see shadows on this wall more than once.
This is the problem with conspiracy theorists, they’ll jump on any old thing they think is evidence without thinking it through, and you wonder why no one takes you seriously. There are real conspiracies out there!!! Don’t accept any old trash as evidence, it makes you look foolish and desperate and out-of-touch.

Studio? No. Hotel? Yes. They were probably set up in one of the meeting or conference rooms in the hotel the media was staying at. The fact that they were inside doesn’t mean anything.
Did he overreact? Yes, and that’s what lends an air of truth to this. The man is obviously terrified but doing what he can to cope. He had a moment of panic and responded in a very expected manner. This is further enforced by the other fellow looking at him like he was crazy.
I suspect this is real but of poor quality.

Don’t you think the large number of bushes and a very large palm tree probably means they are actually outside? I see no reason to think they aren’t outside. A lot of people are reading a lot of ignorant things in to this clip. They seem to be mistaking their own ignorance and misunderstanding as evidence. Evidence doesn’t work that way.
And you wonder why people think conspiracy theorists are all nuts. It’s crap like that that gives genuine investigation in to genuine conspiracies a bad name.

Questions raised by this footage.
1. If this was actually shot indoors then why at 4:09 when they pan the camera from the monitor back to the reporter, why can we see the back of a large satellite dish? Have you ever seen a satellite dish indoors?
2. If everything is planned out, scripted out, why do these guys have to stand around waiting to go on the air for so long?
3. Why are they second-guessing the specific facts of what has happened? If everything has been planned out as some sort of ruse, then all the “facts” would be well known in advance and they wouldn’t have to debate the minutia of it.
4. Why is the footage beamed up to a satellite, if it’s being done in the same studio in Atlanta there would be no reason to broadcast the raw feed. If it’s fake this only increases the chance of someone catching a mistake that reveals the ruse.
There are real conspiracies out there, don’t waste your time accepting any old trash as evidence. Yes, the media should be questioned with a critical eye, but EVERYONE should be questioned, even the empty claims made in this video! This is exactly the kinda crap that makes conspiracy theorists look bad.
