Attributes blogger’s comments over failure of legislation to Texas Congressman
Steve Watson
Infowars.net
Wednesday, Oct 1, 2008
CNN misquoted Ron Paul yesterday during a phone interview with the Texas Congressman regarding the failure of the bailout bill to pass through Congress.
In what some have seen as an effort to marginalize his opposition to the bailout, CNN attributed an exuberant Lew Rockwell.com blog comment to Ron Paul.
Blogger Marc Gallagher pointed out the misquote, detailing the fact that the site the interviewer referred to was RonPaulForPresident2008.com, which is not Ron Paul’s site, but rather a very popular Ron Paul site run by a supporter.
The text of the Lew Rockwell comment posted here reads.
What a heroic day! The people rose up against a coalition of every evil group in America: the central bank, Wall Street plutocrats, politicians, banksters, think tanks (including the pseudo-libertarian sort), big media, big academia, and big business, and won. Today we got a taste of what things may look like when the regime is finally toppled, and its theft and killing stopped. The Austrian economists are vindicated again, as is Rothbard’s political analysis, and our pizza party for Mises’s birthday today look on an especially festive air. The bad guys may yet beat us, but how sweet to see the CNBC types running around like chickens with their heads cut off. Now let’s get to work to defend the free market and sound money, and finger the Fed and all who support it as the culprits. Oh, and by the way, congratulations, Ron Paul.
You would think, given that the message congratulates Ron Paul in the final sentence, that CNN would realise it was written by a supporter and not officially endorsed by Paul himself. But then again, maybe expecting a nationally syndicated mainstream news network to do five minutes of fact checking is a little too much.

Whutzup with this stupid moving tv ad right in the middle of youre articles? It makes it hard to read with shit flashing around in youre periferial vision, low blow Alex.I would consider you to be more of an advertiser than an activist. and to all who will talk shit cuz of my coment , fuck you!
October 1st, 2008 at 11:31 am
I can really feel the awakening happening today. I watched majority of my family turn over today listening to Alex. Excellent broadcast, I cannot wait to see who the special guest is
October 1st, 2008 at 11:45 am
I have to agree about the computer jumping all around while I’m trying to read this article….it is very distracting……I would prefer it be gone
October 1st, 2008 at 11:46 am
morgnstrn, if you have any experience in running servers, let alone everything Alex’s organisation is doing, not just him, it costs a LOT of money. Of course they need ads. At least some/most of them are trustworthy and good ads, instead of trying to sell you poison.

Excelent article Steve/Alex. B.T.W. I like the new site design. Lots of stuff available from anywhere without overcrowding the pages.
B.T.W. morgnstrn, fuck you back… moron.
October 1st, 2008 at 11:50 am
Fuck me… No fuck you. Alex is advertising alternatives to the mainstream poisons being fed to children and adults all over the world. Why don’t you make yourself useful and do some fucking research before you assault the advertisers that are brave enough to have their money going to an unpopular cause instead of Fox or ABC. I know dipshits like you write these comments just so you can have some kind of human interaction other than what you get from computer porn. Well your welcome now you can go back to jerking off.
October 1st, 2008 at 11:53 am
Quit your bitching about the ad. It’s nothing and those who bitch about such a small add for such a small article are probably not even reading the whole article.

Ron Paul said one of the problems is too much regulation. To me it seems the problem is the totally unregulated derivatives market, which is basically a casino for bankers and investors. According to the Constitution the regulation of federal trade is one of the only things the federal government is allowed to do, and Congress failed to do it, and the whole giant monster is now collapsing under the weight of its own greed.

Fuck “me says” too. Everytime I visit this site I see his stupid limey ass comments trying to stir up someone like me. Well it worked. The day I see any comment from this idiot that actually refers to the crisis our country is facing, I will refrain from beating the shit out of the next loud mouthed Englishman I meet in the pub. I know there is no danger of this, thus the offer. If this is who I think it is; Ironic, when the actual meaning differs from the literal meaning. Another American who understands the meaning of irony. Moronic, now thats a word I bet you hear alot. Tally Ho and to hell with the royals and all the elite. Power to the people.

how are all your completely unproven theories going to move anyone. You claim them to be all facts yet in the message ur using oppinion to describe men leading our nation as evil men. Why would they infect us, where would they go if the air was toxic? where would they get water if they intoxicate us? Why ON EARTH WOULD DOCTORS WANT TO KILL KIDS? And what are these rich people doing to harm us? give me these answers please.

WHAT SHOULD CONCERN US ALL IS WHAT THE SENATE IS TRYING TO ‘SLIDE THROUGH QUIETLY” TONIGHT !!! I want somebody to tell me if I have this right- In order to pass a bill into law it must chronologically go through the motions like this- A Bill is introduced into the House, MUST PASS THE HOUSE FIRST, then must pass the senate SECOND, then is given to the president to sign into law. Am I right ?? IF I AM THEN SOMEBODY TELL ME WHAT DA HELL TYPE OF YET ANOTHER “ILLEGAL UNCONSTITUTIONAL ‘COVERT OP” IS TAKING PLACE IN THE SENATE TONIGHT ?? The Bailout Bill HAS NOT PASSED THE HOUSE !! What/how is the senate even allowed to vote on “their version” ??? ANYBODY ??? Also, if you remember how the Patriot Act was passed by being “attached as a “rider” to a military spending bill, then you can easily see what this corrupt senate is attempting !!!!!!

“Unthinking respect for authority is the greatest enemy of truth.”

I dont believe most doctors want to kill kids, I am just curious what company is responsable for making the vaccine and how often are they inspected. For that matter how many people ask the same questions of Mc Donalds or Taco Bell. I have investigated this and its ridiculous to give a fast food joint or an old folks home a months notice before an annual inspection. These people laugh at our systems of control and people die everyday because of it. We have to go to the local fruit/vegitable stands, take care of those who cant care for themselves. Speak with your money, dont show submission. If you knew what I know you would never touch another big mac. Power to the People.

NO BAIL OUT OF WALL STREET BANKERS
October 1st, 2008 at 2:21 pm
For those new to the US Financial Meltdown taking place, Ron Paul explains how the extreme government intervention proposed by socialist (communist?) Paulson and the rest of the Bush Administration would in fact HURT the people… Any time you plunder the Living DayLights out of Responsible Individuals in order to back stop the mistakes of the corrupt, greedy gambling style investors you are setting EVERYONE up for failure. The Bail Out is corrupted and must be scrapped. Waking up to how FEW are really getting helped in this is easy to see. They say it MIGHT help 10 Banks….well the Im sure the LOBBYISTS are working out the details as we speak

Forget this misdeirection , it is an unstory . Who cares ? We all know the truth of the matter . And don’t let up the pressure on these congressional scumbags . Keep calling and emailing our opposition to any action they want to scare us into . I just saw a Fox news reader doing a report from the capital . The only news in the story was that she held up a copy of this so called “Bailout Bill” , the damn thing was 400 , and high high change , pages long . They have put every pet project , scam , imbezelment scheme , fleecing plan , outright theft for they and their pals they could think of in this thing . We need to make it abundantly clear that their jobs are on the line . If they are not up for re-election in November they can be recalled by the people they represent . All it takes is petitions and file some paper work and probably a few other things . Point is even if November isn’t a fear for them , RECALL is !

As the Bush administration unveiled a 700 BILLION plan to “save” mortgage giants Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae, local residents at a town hall forum in Miami were calling for Criminal Prosecutions of the loan-shark mortgage brokers and investment firms that profited from poor people’s housing despair.

October 1st, 2008 at 4:53 pm
What bothers me is that so many people I know actually believe this shit is necessary. I am totally amazed at the peole I work with, and yes I know they are afraid of losing their 401K retirements, but…. as there is no guarantee the bailout would even work and in the end there may not be much left for them to retire on anyway. If the market crashes as is being predicted, it will be all over for the middle class. Your IRA’s 401K’s etc, etc won’t be worth a penny.
Thw fact is that Bush attempted to BLACKMAIL Americans into this socialist, welfare giveaway to the wealthy and far too many Americans fell for it. Makes me ill.
October 1st, 2008 at 5:23 pm
Of course they are trying to misqoute him the MSM is gonna try and discredit every member of congress who voted against the bailout scam.I expect the Texas GOP to really be pushing for a neo-con oppoeant agianst RP next year.
October 1st, 2008 at 5:29 pm
People are not only losing their jobs, but their homes as well. They’re unable to continue the standard of living to which they’ve become accustomed. That has deep meaning: Americans believed they were the winners at capitalism. This self-confidence has disappeared and is being replaced by a feeling of decline. But hey we know it must go down alot if the DEBT is going to be UNBURDENED… Let the BANKS DEFAULT ON ALL THIER LOANS….NOT just the Hand Picked Ones…
October 1st, 2008 at 5:32 pm
Can someone give me the link form RonPaulForPresident2008.com that has a artcle saying: What a heroic day! As stated below ! The lies and deceit must stop . Get the RECALL process started for all who vote YEA !! At this time Obama , Hilary , Biden , and Mcain are all smiling and joking about what they are going to do to us on the Senate floor . They are showing them on TV . They don’t care . Why should they ? They are above us . This makes me sick .

If the Federal reserve were a public” Goverment” institution, certain” free market ”lovers would be complaining about the goverment medling with what the private sector could or should be doing. As things stand ,the free market cops whine about the Fed being a private institution. Go figure. When will they learn that ”free markets” have little to do with free people?
Human need is not a matter of chance, therefore why should we support an economic system, that operates according chance or certain” economic laws”that have nothing to do with human need, freedom,or even reality, but everything to do with greed, waste and ultimatly want. Why as a free people must we blindly accept a system which places monetary profit over human life, nature and moral dignity ? While I am not a christian,I do know that greed is not the best of human traits, why on earth give credance to the satanic idea that greed is good ? There are many forms of prosperity, even if a certain system was proven to bring the greatest amount of material prosperity, that system should still be scrutinized as for its moral and spiritual ramifications; It is possible to have all the material wealth one desires and still be most misrible.
A free person is one who posseses and exercises natural rights. When someone is forced to pay a price for things produced only by nature, that person of course can not be said to be free.We must remember that human freedom and rights are not products of the market place. However,it is possible to structure a market system that is a product of the exercise of human rights.Among those rights ,those most important as far as market activity is concerned are the individuals right to accsess the natural resourses nessacary to sustain life and facilitate the pursuit of happiness. Our economy currently is based upon ownership by a few as opposed to accsess by all. When individual ownership interferes with anothers ability to obtain what is nessacary to sustain life, that ownership is not a right. Why could we not restructure our economy as to allow for ownership when possible ,if possible, but to garuntee acsess to natural resourses by every individual as a matter of first resort ? I am not talking about an economic system based upon some mysteryous abstract of public good,no I am talking about an economic system based upon individulal rights, human rights, human need and common sense.Speaking of the common, the restoration of the commons or the collectively held resources of the people must be central to an economic system that promotes both individual prosperity as well as equality.
In closing; we should strive for economic reform that allows for accsess of all people to the common natural resources, and allows for ownership only when possible,or when doing so will facilitate accsess. Need must trump greed.Freedom is not about prices.Material and financial profit are not the only forms of profit, economic reform based only upon economics is hardly reform. Whether or not human need is met should not be left to mere chance,a structured economics is as sensible as a structured budget.Economic activity alone will not produce free people, but a free people can produce an economic system that in turn promotes freedom. Goverment which is truly represenitive of the people can play a central role in economic reform and stability. It is foolish to think that the private sector can not become just as tyrannical as any goverment. In fact as most of you know, the most tyrannical of goverments are those which have been hijacked by the private sector,or those goverments which are only masqurading as goverment, but in reality are only corperate elites.Does NWO come to mind, anyone ?
