Colbert: ‘If you don’t fight Saddam, you love Hitler’

Due to the fact that the past is “full of mistakes,” Comedy Central’s Stephen Colbert isn’t very fond of history. So Tuesday night he showed a historian how one could actually “learn from the past.”
Colbert explained to Simon Schama, author of The American Future: “Hitler. Hitler, okay. This is the one thing I like about the past is that I can look at Hitler and go, okay, there’s a lesson from the past. Can I make an equation. I can transfer from Hitler all the evil on to Saddam and I can go Hitler and Saddam are the same. Therefore if you don’t fight Saddam, you love Hitler.”
“Do you love Hitler?” asked Colbert.
Schama, not a proponent of the Iraq war, took another lesson from history. “Thomas Jefferson — Jefferson thought we should make a really serious distinction between wars of choice and wars of necessity,” said Schama.
But Schama believes the U.S. should take some credit for the recent events in Iran. “I think we can take credit in a much deeper sense. Actually, I think it’s quite true that cultures — even when it has 30 years of mullahs telling what is right and what is wrong — still actually want freedom and they want religious toleration. They want to be free,” explained Schama. “Thomas Jefferson said every man whether he has one god, three gods or no god shall be free to worship whatever he wishes without fear.”

It’s not a waste…. Stop an THINK. All people who are trying to get the CONSTITUTION back on-line, are accused of being everything from white nationalists to anti-Obama racists. If we’re against the War in Iraq or Afganistan or Iran or Pakistan or Georgia or Palistine or ….it goes on and on, huh?
Stephen Colbet shows you how ridiculous the ‘propganada’ really is. It’s outragesous what comes out of the White House press corp. The ‘NEWS’ that shoots out of there to be whitewashed as real news, is read every day in all the major newspapers. These same news sources are part of a psychological operation on the American People. Making anyone who is against the war a fraid of being associated with the SO-CALLED ‘White Supremists’ (a front Org created and continued by domestic cointelpro operatives , the FBI/CIA).
Listen…don’y knock people who are trying to bring all the ’subtlties’ to light. It’s the insidious subtle comments that must be exposed too. Subtle psychological manipulation is the forte of the maninstream media…though they, quite frankly, suck at it.

God forbid we should take a break from “THE NEW WORLD ORDER IS GOING TO GET US!” and have a laugh at someone mocking stupid policy of past and present administrations. Seriously, most fighters of the NWO are people who I would not want to hang out with because they’re so friggin’ tense. Whether in the foxhole or on the 18th hole, if you are miserably tense your life is no fun.

his faux conservative schtick pokes fun at how people REALLY act, especially the whole neocon drivel of “youre either with us or against us”
Neocons and Neocrats deserve to be parodied. Though they do a wonderful job of making fun of themselves. They are more ludicrous than cartoon characters.
