A confidential record of a meeting between President Bush and Tony Blair before the invasion of Iraq, outlining their intention to go to war without a second United Nations resolution, will be an explosive issue for the official inquiry into the UK’s role in toppling Saddam Hussein.
The memo, written on 31 January 2003, almost two months before the invasion and seen by the Observer, confirms that as the two men became increasingly aware UN inspectors would fail to find weapons of mass destruction (WMD) they had to contemplate alternative scenarios that might trigger a second resolution legitimising military action.
Bush told Blair the US had drawn up a provocative plan “to fly U2 reconnaissance aircraft painted in UN colours over Iraq with fighter cover”. Bush said that if Saddam fired at the planes this would put the Iraqi leader in breach of UN resolutions.
(ARTICLE CONTINUES BELOW)
The president expressed hopes that an Iraqi defector would be “brought out” to give a public presentation on Saddam’s WMD or that someone might assassinate the Iraqi leader. However, Bush confirmed even without a second resolution, the US was prepared for military action. The memo said Blair told Bush he was “solidly with the president”.
The five-page document, written by Blair’s foreign policy adviser, Sir David Manning, and copied to Sir Jeremy Greenstock, the UK ambassador to the UN, Jonathan Powell, Blair’s chief of staff, the chief of the defence staff, Admiral Lord Boyce, and the UK’s ambassador to Washington, Sir Christopher Meyer, outlines how Bush told Blair he had decided on a start date for the war.

So, let me get this right.
You guys think 9/11 was an inside job and they successfully fooled the Chinese and Russians, but Bush and Blair couldn’t even hold a MEETING about painting a UN aircraft like a military jet without getting caught?
They could pull off 9/11 but couldn’t plant some WMD’s in Iraq? Actually, you guys know why they could have never planted WMD’s? Besides NEVER being able to keep it secret, the above mentioned countries, and others, have real time satellite surveillance capabilities, so taking the risk of the other countries watching them plant the WMD’s, was way to risky….
So, knowing that Russia was engaged in massive military drills with us on 9/11, how do you guys think they fooled the satellites regarding flight 77?
When you guys post stories like this, do you ever stop and think, “if they couldn’t even keep a conversation secret, how would they be able to pull off 9/11?”…
Do you ever wonder why they didn’t implicate Iraq? Knowing they wanted to take out Iraq LONG before 9/11…..
Someone in your truther community has to have some common sense…

I wonder what was the Quenn’s role in all of this. After all, she is the Head of the State, of the Empire.

Yes, free to die in the streets, be terrorized by warlords – as well as US soldiers & contractors – and suffer from malnutrition & neglect.
The reason that Bush didn’t mention any of the points you brought up is that it wouldn’t have been enough to garner support for an invasion from the public, who was (rightfully) more concerned about 9/11 than Iraq.
(Not to mention that all of the atrocities you described were committed with the direct aid & support of the US government, which is also why we let Hussein be executed instead of giving him the chance to defend himself in a court of law.)
The simple fact of the matter is that this is just one more piece of evidence out of many proving that there was absolutely no “failure in intelligence” prior to the war, but that Bush lied his way into Iraq, and is guilty of both treason & war crimes.

“[America] goes not abroad in search of monsters to destroy”
. . .Wherever the standard of freedom and Independence has been or shall be unfurled, there will her heart, her benedictions and her prayers be.
But she goes not abroad, in search of monsters to destroy.
She is the well-wisher to the freedom and independence of all.
She is the champion and vindicator only of her own.
She will commend the general cause by the countenance of her voice, and the benignant sympathy of her example.
She well knows that by once enlisting under other banners than her own, were they even the banners of foreign independence, she would involve herself beyond the power of extrication, in all the wars of interest and intrigue, of individual avarice, envy, and ambition, which assume the colors and usurp the standard of freedom.
The fundamental maxims of her policy would insensibly change from liberty to force….
She might become the dictatress of the world. She would be no longer the ruler of her own spirit….
[America's] glory is not dominion, but liberty. Her march is the march of the mind. She has a spear and a shield: but the motto upon her shield is, Freedom, Independence, Peace. This has been her Declaration: this has been, as far as her necessary intercourse with the rest of mankind would permit, her practice.
When John Quincy Adams served as U. S. Secretary of State, he delivered this speech to the U.S. House of Representatives on July 4, 1821, in celebration of American Independence Day.

WMD’s wasn’t an excuse.
if you read the downing street memo, the entire thing (which was Top Secret) they had contingency plans for if the invading forces were hit with biological or chemical weapons.
Now, why would they have that info in a memo clearly NOT for public consumption?
Sure they cherry picked the intel, but the intel they used was thought to be solid.
Look at what happened in Libya…….We didn’t know about their WMD program so to say we absolutely would have known about Iraqs, either way, is not realistic.

The weapons Inspectors confirmed that there were no WMD’s. Dr David Kelly from the UK was ’suicided’ precisely for this reason. ie ‘he knew too much’.

The invasion of Iraq, Afghanistan & Iran have all been preplanned for many years and 9/11 was the pretext for these invasions and to simultaneously steal your rights in Amerika through the Patriot Act and other false legislation. They had to have a “Pearl Harbor” style of event to conjure up the false patriotism of the Amerikan people to get them to go along with their plans.
This is why all of the manufacturing in Amerika has gone away, they believe that they will be able to survive the ailing GNP and replace it with oil revenues. When the globalists control the worlds resources, they won’t have the need for manufacturing in Amerika and YOU will be their slaves if they render you “Salvageable’ to their wants and needs.

Where is the evidence of this meeting, so someone says the seen this video, so what? I want the evidence. Sometimes these stories are going to far, without the proof. Fact of the matter is regardless why we went in there Iraq is a safer place now for everyone. Saddam needed to be held accountable for killing his own people, and he got what he deserved, strung and hung like the madman he was. Not to say that the politicians in office now don’t need to have the same thing happen to them.
Anyways I’ll admit this is true when I see the tapes…
