I’m sure it was that missing empathy gene that led Jews to be the first and loudest white people supporting civil rights for blacks in the ’60s.

The Kol Nidre absolution is ONLY PERSONAL VOWS given/made to god. It does not include vows or oaths made to others or even with others. It is strictly referring to those one-on-one “please, God, let me pass this test I didn’t study for” type.

Bush and his neo-con buddies are mainly evangelical christians, like Pat Robertson and Jerry Falwell. Any god that that brings down a 9-11 because we are too tolerant of others’ lifestyles, as claimed by Robertson and Falwell – you can have that god. That is not what I understand Christ’s message to be.

Also, the 1st Commandment as found in the Torah, does not say god is the only god – in fact, it implies that there are certainly other gods. However, the Hebrews were commanded to WORSHIP only the one god of Abraham.

The least you hateful people can do is get out a dictionary or go to wikipedia and find out what “Zionism” means. While you are at it, find some proof for your ridiculous anti-semetism. I guarantee you that the media is not owned by Jews, although some media owners may be Jewish. All banking is not owned by Jews, although some bankers may be Jewish. All Jews are not rich, although some rich people may be Jewish.

If the christian religions had put the same emphasis on learning/education over the last 1500 years that Judaism has, instead of actively working to keep their “flock” ignorant and thus at the mercy of the clergy – the only educated among them – then those people could have made the advances that the Jews did. Jews have done nothing, at any time in history, to justify the hatred and slander sent their way. It’s because you fools are jealous, because your church tells you to be stupid and think only what your pastor tells you to think. It’s because the church defies facts that don’t suit the church’s notions – like excommunication for believing the earth revolves around the sun. It may not fit with your belief that you are some how superior or that man (christian man anyway) is the reason life exists at all, but it is an indisputable fact that earth revolves around the sun.

If I had a penny for every heinous act committed based on a total misinterpretation of the myths that make up the Bible, I would be a trillionaire.

I hate to sound like a wimp, but, I’m reallllly tired of this world.

We here in our part of the country are having to say bye, bye to what WAS a very good program for the homeless ( namely homeless VETERANS ) where they could get winter clothing, very warm sleeping bags, and assistance, all in one place, once a year! Our wonderful CONgress definitely showed us their TRUE priorities!

The new Senate bill is an even bigger step towards socialism. It contains a provision whereas the government can dictate to corporations the amount of money that can paid to their top executives. If this isn’t socialism then someone pray tell me what is. Where does it end? First the government places a cap on top executive’s pay, then tomorrow it’s extended to upper management, then mid management, then lower management and so on, until it reaches the lowest employee in the food chain.

Are some top executives overpaid? Absolutely, but the corporation and their shareholders are the ones who should be responsible for setting the salaries, not the US Government. And, the corporations should be held responsible for their failures, not the tax payers. After all, isn’t that what happened to the ENRON executives?

I say no bailout, period. If government does anything, it should be to get the hell out of the way and let the market take care of itself. The failure of Fannie and Freddie is yet another prime example of how the government is incapable of running anything. Name me just one government program that has been successful.

And even more unbelievable is the fact that the same members of congress who are responsible for the failure of Fannie and Freddie are the same ones who want us to trust THEM to clean up their own mess. I think NOT.

As yet another Presidential election season has come due, it is well worth noting that “change” has become a constantly recurring campaign slogan in American elections. Those intellectuals who opt to continue onward with such a tired refrain are well aware that very little will change for the betterment of the American public-at-large, in spite of the media-controlled flood of campaign rhetoric on behalf of the respective nominees.

Many Americans may well wonder, “Why is it that we desire change in the first place?”

Whereas the Constitution of the United States was originally fabricated in order to give the American citizens a simple guideline for their representative government, more than two- hundred years of incessant Legislation has produced a miasma of orders, acts, statues and laws that are repugnant to the Constitution – each time these ideas have been merged into public policy in the name of change.

Citing the Washington Post/ABC News poll AFP states ” Americans divided on plan: 45% support bail out while 47 percent opposed it.

The American People have spoken and all the fear mongering in the world will not convince them that giving bankers anything but a pink slip is a good idea…Like bankers go to jail. It is good to see what goes around comes around faster and faster these days.

America has turned the corner and is now starting coming about. This once majestic nation sold into prostitution by these same bankers is raising herself up by the will of her people. We are waking up at a faster and faster rate each and every day.

The ability for these lairs to manipulate the system is coming to an end. America may not know this but there is a great force working to save this nation and the world from slavery.

That vote made me proud to be an American….
