Lausanne (Switzerland), April 28 (DPA) A container for transporting swine flu virus samples exploded on a Swiss train, authorities said Tuesday, but stressed that there was no danger to the public.
The container, which was filled with dry ice and carried samples of the H1N1 swine flu virus and was destined for Switzerland’s national influenza centre in Geneva, exploded Monday night on board a train.
A laboratory employee had picked up the samples in Zurich to transport them by train to Geneva, but the package exploded near Fribourg and Lausanne, after melting dry ice, which had been wrongly placed, caused a build-up of pressure.
Two people suffered slight injuries, police confirmed, but authorities stressed there was no danger for the public as the virus was not the mutated strain which is suspected to have caused up to 149 deaths in Mexico.

WHAT IS A NON MUTATED STRAIN BEING being transported the swiss for???

either some scientist want to “play with fire”
or…. they want to use it on the population.
hard to tell when shit goes wrong for them.

Ummm, dry ice doesn’t melt, it evaporates. So what caused the explosion???

It can cause an explosion if it is in an airtight container. UN1845 must be packed with air vents according to ICAO guidelines.

O.k. but what worries me is the scientists don’t know how to handle CO2 safely but they are trusted with handling virii? On the other hand, if it is just the packer who packed everything incorrectly? The packer is handling the virii?? WTF?? I don’t know which scenario is scarier.

Some info I found….
Dry Ice is frozen carbon dioxide. Unlike most solids, it does not melt into a liquid, but instead changes directly into a gas. This process is called sublimation. The temperature of dry ice is around -109° F! It melts very quickly so if you need dry ice for an experiment or project, buy it as close as possible to the time you need it.
Dry Ice Safety Rules:
1) KIDS: Never use dry ice without adult supervision. Dry ice can cause serious injury if not used carefully!!!
2) Never store dry ice in an airtight container. As the dry ice melts from a solid directly into a gas, the gas will build up in the container until it bursts. Sharp pieces of container will go flying all over the place. Make sure your container is ventilated!!! The best place to store dry ice is in a styrofoam chest with a loose fitting lid.

Yes I agree, Alex has talked before about the carriage of Infectious substances. It has its own classification of 6.2 and is heavily regulated. Yet they seem to pop up being damaged just in a fibreboard box undeclared. I have heard AJ speak of a case in 2001 I think of weaponised Anthrax being sent via Fed-ex. Nobody with any knowledge would knowingly send an Infectious substance without adhering to the regulations of shipping, this is definitely not just an ordinary accident/ spillage. You make a mistake like that you are going to Prison for two years (the paperwork must be in order before acceptance by a third party). So the word conspiracy is not hype in this case I would suggest.

Hrmm gotta tip my hat to these fools. Never thought of making a dry ice bomb with a virus before.

If they ship it that way, it could of done it elsewhere. How many more blew up? They are saying carbon dioxide made it explode. Duh!

SORRY FOLKS. IN TODAY’S AGE CRAP LIKE THIS DOESN’T HAPPEN BY ACCIDENT!
April 28th, 2009 at 11:02 pm
“Ok we have this kind of dangerous virus here so yea.. lets transport it by train by badly packaging it.. lets just hope nothing breaks!”
Accident? Perhaps, but the persons involved should be fired and companies fined for making this possible.

For God sake people.! You are transporting a deadly virus. What happened on that train which can link to the sample of swine virus to explode.? I think this sample was intact and sealed tightly in a container. “I smell something fishy.” Well, accidents happen.! but i had a premonition to this incidents. The in charge of this transport must justify there remiss.

I’m an American from Hawaii living in Zurich. What I have noticed while living here are how the Swiss in general, pride themselves on the great work and attention to detail that they perform and do. What is confusing to me is how this ‘accident’ even turned into an accident at all?
Another thing that puzzles me is the World View that the Swiss government carries. The Swiss are quiet, peaceful, and very neutral. Especially when it comes to the problems affecting other countries. If the problem isn’t happening in Switzerland, chances are that they really don’t care that much. For me, and these obvious observations, it’s hard to grasp that the Swiss Government would be setting up their own citizens.
On the flip side, things do in fact happen by accident. We all from time to time have accidents. Perhaps the persons who packed this flu were inept in the proper measures of handling dry ice. Perhaps the train its self shifted and wiggled just right, which caused some dry ice to shift just so, eventually causing the gas to build up. Maybe the train shifted and the containers holding the flu were crushed. I don’t know.
What we cannot do is speculate. People speculate all day long and it still doesn’t change the facts of what happened. The facts are: Dry Ice, Train, Broken, Gas, Swine Flu. That’s pretty much all we know. Since I am relatively local to the accident here, I’ll keep my eyes open for any other news on this to see if any solid, factual data surfaces.
Changing speeds… people love Obama here, which is a shame!

This is definately another bio attack in another country. This was purposful to spread this disease around the whole world. Population control as the NWO put it. They want a world population under 500 mil.

“The container, which was filled with dry ice and carried samples of the H1N1 swine flu virus ”
” the virus was not the mutated strain which is suspected to have caused up to 149 deaths in Mexico.”
The ‘H1N1′ is the name given the virus that was responsible for the 1918-1919 ‘Spanish Flu’ pandemic. The ‘H5N1′ is the name given to what several top scientists claim is an engineered virus with the ‘H1N1′ virus as it’s source. The ‘H5N1′ virus is said to be 50-100% more lethal. So, how could the quoted statement below make any sense?
“but authorities stressed there was no danger for the public as the virus was not the mutated strain which is suspected to have caused up to 149 deaths in Mexico.”

I have been looking at alot of different sites about the flu deaths in Mexico. All of them say that the virus is the ‘H1N1′ that is responsible for the Mexican deaths. I think there is “danger for the public” with either the ‘H1N1′ or ‘H5N1′ viruses. “Something is happening here, but I don’t know what it is” (BoB Dylan -’Bring It On Back Home’ album)

It reminds me of “12 monkeys” some wacko hopping from country to country dispersing super flu. It is obviously a lethal virus regardless of its origin. Also, it is nearly impossible to create a race specific disease, there just isn’t enough internal diversity. The only differences between the races are usually of the cosmetic variety (hair, skin, height) nothing that any virus could target specifically. Disease naturally will spread easier in third world conditions that lack sanitation.
