Conyers Tries To Kill Impeachment Hearings Before They Start

John Conyers is now taking the position that no one at Friday’s impeachment hearing can accuse Bush or Cheney of any crime, or any impeachable offense, or dishonorable conduct, or even lying.
Moreover, Conyers is now saying that he will shut the hearing down if anyone does accuse the boys of crimes, impeachable offenses, or otherwise being naughty.
As David Swanson summarizes it:
“Apparently the rules of Congress are designed to allow impeachable offenses to be discussed only in impeachment hearings. Apparently this didn’t occur to Chairman Conyers when he decided to hold a non-impeachment impeachment hearing. As a result, his hearing may be quickly shut down, and he will have a choice of holding a real impeachment hearing, resigning, or dropping the pretense that he intends to resist Cheney and Bush in any way whatsoever.”

I’ve seen conyers go after people at hearings and demand answers and keep pushing them until they had to answer his question. What ever happened to that guy? Did he have a scruples-ectamy? After the anthrax letters went “unsolved”, John Conyers don’t want to find himself put on the government’s special “mailing” list. So he sold his sold to the devil, hoping Satan comes for him last. All of these moron criminals have totally sold us out. They’ve been promised spots in Mt. Weather or one of the other many deep underground military bases for themselves and their families. They have no idea what’s about to happen and most of them will die anyway.
The people who pretend to be our leaders are all traitors. All have committed treason against our once great nation. Now we are nothing more than employees in a vast criminal corporation. A corporation whose board of directors has seen fit to release a virus and destroy almost all of us.
These fools are like cockroaches. When the lights come on, they run for the darkest places they can find. If we had any balls, we would organize and charge every last one of these morons with breaking every predicate in the Rico Act. For they have done nothing, but commit organized crimes against all humans on this planet. These assholes give racketeering a whole new meaning.
Instead, we’ll just sit on our asses for a few weeks longer and they’ll release their “Maxi-croak” super flu virus at the Olympics and flee to their underground lairs to watch it all on streaming digital video. And laugh at us as they release to the masses a pseudo cure (a live virus that incubates instead of producing antibodies). They’ll probably call it “Mass-a-cure 08″ because they like fucking with us on multiple levels at once (adding some fucking logo of a sunburst with 13 points on it). And those who live through this will be fighting each other for the little food left on the surface. Then the cockroaches will crawl from their dungeons and kill all the other humans left on the surface and set up a genetically augmented drone class of human clones as workers so they never have to worry about a revolt ever again.

I don’t see why nobody is IMMEDIATELY attempting any sorts of actions against CONYERS. It’s so funny to me, that people in this country actually BELIEVE that impeachment is really going to solve anything… especially this late in the game. You people had all the chances in the WORLD to go after the truest culprits in this entire criminal act. CONGRESS! Do you REALLY think that it’s just beaureucratic bungling, and political posturing that wastes time and restrains progress towards justice, democracy, and peace? NO WAY! The ENTIRE CONGRESS minus a few exceptions like Ron Paul, Kucinich and VERY FEW others, is completely COMPLICIT AS CO-CONSPIRITORS, and to even THINK anything differently is simple American arrogance. I don’t have the link handy, but you guys should find the video clips of Mrs. Conyers from the Detroit City Council meetings. I feel like I’m watching Ice Cube’s girlfriend from “Friday” — “you ain’ts gots to lie, Craig…” Anyway, she is a piece of work and she is involved with some interesting corruption/fraud issues in the D.
On another note, I once met Mr. Conyers at a farmer’s market in Detroit, where he was first campaigning for his wife. This was a few years back when Conyers seemed like one of the (few) good guys. Well, after talking to him about the crimes of Bush and that sort of stuff, I got the impression that he was a bit senile. I know even the really bad guys in government are still much smarter than the average citizen, but this guy just seemed out of his wits. It was bizarre indeed…. (in fact, the only thing he wanted from me was to campaign on behalf of his wife — he was pretty uninterested in real issues…)
But this whole thing is just par for the course. We thought that with the dems in power in Congress, perhaps Bush would be restrained if not impeached. I don’t know the actual stats, but I’d bet that more evil legislation was passed with the dems in power during the Bush Reich. I hate the dems too, but you’d think they would at least go through the motions and make it seem like they represented the people.

Jaques is right. You cannot fix the USA with elections or legal processes because the US system is so corrupt that it cannot be fixed. Everyone brags about how great the US Constitution and the US political system are, but the Constitution and the US political system have proven to be completely ineffective in preventing the USA’s descent into fascism, which began long before 9/11/2001. Anyone who thinks that the USA can be diverted from fascism by nonviolent political means is truly an idiot who doesn’t understand the game or the score.

There is only one peaceful solution left here. All democraps AND all repuglicans must be voted out of power. Both parties have become hopelessly corrupt and must be removed. Americans MUST unify in their respective districts and make sure that NO democrap OR repuglican gets elected. A tip of the ‘ol cap to those of us who are on the same page here. Don’t give up or listen to the naysayers or those who try to equate (or more accurately, equivocate) our fight for freedom with distractions and tangential arguments. There’s no time to listen to the “noise.” Freedom resonates with all people – regardless of religious affiliation or non-affiliation. We’re gaining power now, but imagine the power we’d have if we united as a majority voice. I believe that will happen in my lifetime. I think Fred54Boston is on the right track, but it must begin at the local level so as to introduce independents in greater numbers and with greater experience that will gradually infiltrate federal politics. Trying to fix Washington is a lost cause. The two party system and media will negate any efforts working against them. As more strong, Independent Constitutionalists run for local office, we CAN and WILL, PEACEFULLY and incrementally re-establish the principles of liberty into what has become this cancerous system that we know as our government.

Rick Smith……………………..I AGREE, WE, HERE IN THE U.S. ARE PRETTY SCREWED AND PEOPLE ARE STILL LINING UP AT ROCKEFELLER PLAZA AT 1:00 IN THE MORNING AND SLEEPING OUTSIDE ALL NIGHT WITH THEIR LITTLE KIDS (4,5,6,7,8,9 YEARS OLD) TO SEE HANNAH MONTANA AND YET NO ONE KNEW THAT DENNIS KUCINICH WAS IN FRONT OF THE JUDICIARY COMMITTEE TRYING TO IMPEACH BUSH & CHENEY YESTERDAY. THIS IS SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO BAD. I REALLY THINK THAT THESE PEOPLE ARE NOT WORTH IT. I WAS ON AOL YESTERDAY POSTING COMMENTS ON ALL THE SITES I COULD FIND ABOUT THE HEARING AND ONLY HALF THE PEOPLE WERE RESPONDING POSITIVELY AND THE REST WERE TELLING ME TO GET OFF THE SITE BECAUSE I WAS UPSETTING THEM. THERE HAS TO BE A WAY TO GET THESE PEOPLE FIRED; ALL OF THEM; WE NEED MORE SUPPORT FROM A-LIST ACTORS OR SOMETHING, THAT’S THE ONLY PEOPLE THESE SHEEP WILL LISTEN TO.
