Cops Tase 54 Year Old Woman For Sitting In Wrong Seat At Football Game
Eyewitness captures video, police falsely say taser intended for compliance

Wisconsin Police were caught on camera tasing a 54 year old woman and confining her to a wheel chair after she sat in the wrong seat at a football game in Madison.
Margaret Hiebing, a veteran Badger season ticket holder, was ejected from the Camp Randall stadium during the Oct. 11 game against Penn State after she was found sitting in the wrong seat, reports WKOW 27 News.
Hiebing had taken a different seat because someone else had occupied her usual place at the packed game.
When police approached Mrs Hiebing she explained the situation and refused to leave. Onlookers began to berate the cops after one of them reportedly threatened Hiebing with pepper spray.
One witness filmed the altercation on a cell phone, evidence which would later dispel initial police claims that Hiebing was causing an obstruction by sitting in the aisle.
Police then forced Hiebing face down on the ground and tased her on the back of the leg.
Hiebing was then placed in a wheel chair and ejected as she was unable to walk out of the stadium.

Former Wisconsin Department of Justice Training and Standards Director Dennis Hanson described the tasing as ” the next step to force compliance” and told 27 News the use of a taser is an accepted intermediate option when the subject of police commands is not cooperating.
This is simply not true.
The weapon is designed to be used as a last resort before lethal force when a suspect becomes violent and the officer feels their own safety is under threat.
The police are now trained that “pain compliance,” a euphemism for torture, is acceptable in apprehending anyone even if that person poses no physical danger.
This case once again highlights the fact that police are using the Taser to get non-violent suspects to simply do what they are told, rather than for their intended purpose as the very last line of defense before the handgun.
Taser has been the subject of much controversy and outrage all over the world.
Last year the UN’s Committee Against Torture issued a statement on the TaserX26, which read: “The use of TaserX26 weapons, provoking extreme pain, constituted a form of torture, and that in certain cases it could also cause death, as shown by several reliable studies and by certain cases that had happened after practical use.”
Doctors in the U.S. and Canada have spoken out against the devices and have accused Taser International of corporate intimidation.
Meanwhile, the UK government wants to arm London police with 10,000 tasers, a plan that police have said they will boycott because of the potential the devices have to cause fear and damage public confidence.
WKOW 27 news reports that over two dozen witnesses have signed a petition stating that the police conduct in Margaret Hiebing’s case was not appropriate.
While stadium video of the altercation also exists, police are keeping it under wraps and have said the incident is still under review.

Can not even beat up an old lady. These are lazy cops. When I was a kid on the farm when we loaded cattle we had zappers. One time I hit a steer with it he got crazy mad kicked an fought. I got a slap up side my head and told . This is not a game. We use attitude and the sound to drive the cattle. A zap is the last resort. The cops in my town are pretty ridiculous… they’re not running around tazing people, but if you lock your keys in your car they tell you to call a tow truck… if there’s a stray dog running through traffic they tell you its not their problem (they wont even call someone else…)
but if they see you out after midnight, either in a car or on foot, they automatically suspect that you’re up to no good. they will stop you when you are walking even if you’re clearly a full grown human. they will follow you in your car and pull you over if you have a license plate light out. its absurd.
no protection, no service, just hassle and intimidation. that’s why everyone in this small town hates them. they don’t even know how much people hate them.

The officers do not seem to be the brightest bulbs in the socket. They should have immediately suggested that with proof of ticket, she could have the officers accompany her back to remove the interloper who she claims was in her seat. Why did she ‘refuse’ to move? Perhaps she didn’t have a seat. Fishy, fishy, fishy. That being said, I guess the officers didn’t want to break a nail on the little woman getting her to move. Tasers can be lethal, and are indeed a last resort. Deploying them for every little thing is a bad and lazy short cut to good police work.

Whenever there is a video that shows police doing what they do best, beating the $#!% out of people, police jump on that and make it go away, at least cover it up for as long as possible, so that the (what little) public outrage (exists) dies down. So remember to tape everything and MAKE and DISTRIBUTE COPIES before you tell police about it. But I preach to the choir.

I was at that game! I didnt see the incident, but the son of my boss did, and he came over and told us about what he saw. He described everything exactly as the article stated! He said they threatened her with Pepper Spray even though she was showing them her ticket! Im so glad that something is being done about it and the people are speaking up!

Although the police have an authority that must be respected, as they also put their lives on the line multiple times throughout their careers, the authoritative behavior is getting way out of hand for many cops! I have a feeling that these police officers felt that their position as figures of power was being underminded, their egos deminished by that of a senior citizen, and they thought that they had to do something. Carrying a non-compliant older woman out of the stands would have caused way too much attention, but if they incapacitated her, it would be a little less noticable. This is not a story about police officers doing their job of removing a woman from a seat that was not hers, but a story of police officers becoming burdoned with the ego of their authoritative power to commit otherwise acts of criminal behavior. It’s sickening, and this case needs to be addressed properly to curb the overuse of excessive force.

The police officers definitely don’t sound like gentlemen. Tasering a 54 year old lady on the ground is a bit sick. Filing false reports is also illegal. The sad part is most of our politicians and key leaders can’t be relied upon to do what’s right. Many police officers are out of control, prosecutors are prosecuting people they know are innocent, judges are running crooked trials, and prisons are poorly run nightmares of homosexuals raping men. The common man is beginning to realize he can’t get a fair trial or honest election. There are many very angry people. It doesn’t bode well for the future. I am from London and have spoken to police here who off the record have told me that the British government is trying to push both guns and tasers on police. The police are against this and are resisting the government.
It shows that our government is a bilderburg servant and should be gotten rid of. Also that the American police are now happy to execute marshal law in America and will not mind killing their own people. at the same time – the security people were not willing to listen to why she was on the stairs

Steve; The point is that this is supposed to be the US where the cops don’t go around tasing people for simple non compliance of verbal orders. As you mentioned they should have instead gotten the person that took HER seat to move first and if these are “supposed” to be so called tough cops, why do they have to even tase at all?? That weapon should only be drawn if someone pulls a knife, bat, broken bottle or something else other than a gun or perhaps a knife.
There is NO reasons to tase a 54 year old woman who is simply watching a football game. How did the cops even get involved, security should have been the ones to handle it. Cops are tasing people which is dangerous and can kill someone like you would simply swat flies. That’s a dangerous and deadly weapon and to use it against an older woman who is not a physical threat at ALL just because she wouldn’t move from a seat that she “technically” didn’t pay for is OUTRAGEOUS!! Behaviors like this is akin to a police or communist state and was NEVER allowed in the US until recently.
That is why people are pissed off at such actions like this by law enforcement!
