Cynthia McKinney Prevented From Leaving U.S.

Former Congresswoman and presidential candidate Cynthia McKinney has been prevented from leaving the country after she planned to give a speech in Damascus Syria at a Conference being held to commemorate the 60th Anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
“Today, November 23rd, I was slated to give remarks in Damascus, Syria at a Conference being held to commemorate the 60th Anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and, sadly, the 60th year that the Palestinian people have been denied their Right of Return enshrined in that Universal Declaration. But a funny thing happened to me while at the Atlanta airport on my way to the Conference: I was not allowed to exit the country,” writes McKinney.
“I do believe that it was just a misunderstanding,” she adds, though why a well known former Georgia congresswoman who represented Atlanta, the city in which she was born, would not be allowed to board a plane raises disturbing questions.

Has McKinney been put on a terrorist watch list merely for speaking out in support of 9/11 first responders and passionately questioning the official 9/11 story?
As many will recall, McKinney was perhaps the first major public figure to doubt the official version of events way back in 2002, which at the time was tantamount to treason.
McKinney has since become a vocal advocate for the 9/11 truth movement and appeared at numerous 9/11 truth conference and events.
She also made headlines for attempting to get answers on what had happened to $2.3 trillion dollars that was quietly declared “missing” from the Pentagon budget the day before 9/11.
McKinney was set to travel to Damascus to give a speech about the ailing plight of Palestinians and the Israeli lock down of Gaza, which is preventing Palestinian citizens, half of them children, from getting access to basic staples such as food, fuel and medical supplies, but Uncle Sam stopped her from doing so.
A misunderstanding? This is not the first time McKinney has been apprehended by the authorities. In April 2006 a Capitol Police officer prevented McKinney from entering a House office building when she did not present identification. Capitol police immediately apologized to McKinney after the incident, but the officer in question later claimed that McKinney had hit him. The fact that McKinney was not arrested on the spot for assaulting a police officer strongly suggests that assault claim was concocted or exaggerated.

I once considered the possibility that the United States would be overthrown by a foreign communist/fascist/nazi type government. The thought never crossed my mind that I would one day wake up in the “land of the terrorists and the home of the slaves.” I wonder what will happen as more U.S. citizens attempt to leave the United States either as visitors or incoming citizens to other countries? Was someone afraid that Congresswoman Cynthia McKinney was taking a one-way trip to Syria? Could you blame her? As I’ve previously posted on another forum a while back. Even “the evil empires are starting to look more heavenly than the United States? No wonder citizens from the southern states wanted to secede from the union during President Lincoln’s presidency. I’m beginning to believe that the entire country would be better off for starters, if each of these 50 states were 50 separate countries. Let the corpora-politicos tend to D.C. as their country. Life might be better for some of us if we didn’t have to live with the voting records and decisions of oppressive-sentatives from 49 other states. Maybe the wicked powers that be will finally find happiness and peace with themselves after they thoroughly deprive the rest of humanity of all our assets, civil liberties, God-given unalienable rights, health, hope, life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.

mad this is horrible, sad shit. this woman has had the courage to speak her mind in a public forum (which how many of our elected officials do? oh, that’s right, none) & then she’s made to suffer these “misunderstandings”? a terrible shame.
i would hope than when Cheney is out & the Bush admin is gone, this kind of thing will happen far less if at all, but who knows. I tell you what, Obama should sick that “crack” economic team or someone on the missing Pentagon funds ASAP. I mean, you’d be naive to think the Bush admin was ever going to do anything about it (they’re obviously going to re-direct or plead the 5th, so to speak), but some answers on these issues, or at least an effort towards finding some answers (I’m not expecting a new 9/11 commission from the incoming admin or anything, though it’s warranted & would be a smart move, methinks) but putting a finger on that $ seems especially pressing considering our current economic climate. If this is accurate, people should not only arm themselves, they should also consider other things like electricity, food, spend a lot of time thinking about important local and regional facilities. I mean things like water treatment plants, power plants, etc., etc., etc. In any conflict with these guys, we will need to secure and hold certain facilites for the communities. I know that, traditionally, they will first bomb such facilities with arial assaults, but these will be important to secure and hold. Think about these things.

Transportation methods and routes will need to be secured and help. They know this, as well. This is why they have such things as InfraGard, right? It would be a nasty fight to secure sech things, but the masses will need such things. Think about a lot of things if you are going to make such comments about arming yourselves. Did you know that you just posted on a public site? So, they’ll be expecting your non-violent revolt and they will know how to handle it. These types have had a lot of time to study physical and psychological warfare, since the days of Ghandi. I would prefer a non-violent solution but, if the shooting starts and people are being rounded up, you better be prepared to fight in any manner which you can and the possibility of that being in an active manner is a possibility. Otherwise, they’re just going to exterminate those who have been politically active against them, aren’t they? That is what these people have traditionally done throughtout time. That isn’t shit, I got my passport declined because of a past due 5k bill to a cardiologist here in Iowa. I didn’t pay his bill cause he is an asshole, so the courts sue me, removed my driving privilege, thus removed my right to travel outside the country. Manufacturing facilities, recycling centers, mineral mining operations, railroad yards and depots, armories, etc., etc., etc. If it happens, we’ll need to secure all of these things. I don’t like this any more than anyone else does. I hate war. We also have to be honest about the situation. Look at history. What have the objectives of any invading or hostile force been? Opposition leadership, forces, and domestic utilities, businesses, and food and water supplies are generally the first targets. Start thinking about these things, people. Pray that it culminates in a waste of your thinking time, but think about it. Think about these things. You should also think about contengency plans for destroying any said facilities if they cannot be held and if they are going to give comfort and support to any opposition forces, whether they be of a foreign, or domestic origin. Study guerrilla warfare. All of it. Think about the little things. If you’re going to get a dog, make sure that it is one that is a durable and intelligent breed and able to be trained to do some smart things like crawling under a piece of enemy armor with homemade Semtex strapped to it. Study what the U.S. military has been subjected to by their own leadership and the resistance in Iraq and Afghanistan. They have people who are paid to think about these things and plan, develop, and conduct such operations. We have to do the same. One more thing. Learn about the amazing things that you can do with something as simple as a sheet of mylar. It is effective in making thermal signatures, if employed in the correct manner. Good luck, people. Why no mention of the lock down of the border with Egypt? Remember a few months ago the palestinian bulldozed the border with Egypt and opened it, and Palestinians from Gaza surged across to buy supplies in Egyptian stores? Wouldnt it be a more natural thing for Egypt to open their border with Gaza? After all, Egypt and Gaza are both 1) arab 2) speak arabic 3) practice Islam and share the same culture. Also Gaza has vowed to destroy and kill their sworn enemy, the israeli people. THey have not sworn to destroy Egypt, since they share the same language, religion and culure with the Egyptians, their brothers.
So I ask again, why not have world opinion pressure the Egyptians to open their border with Gaza. Wouldnt that make more sense to have an open border with friendly Egypt rather than an open border with “enemy” Israel?
The answer is that the Egyptians want nothing to do with Gaza.

I just love Cynthia McKinney. We need people like her and Ron Paul to step up more and co-ordinate action against the fascist takeover. The line has been stepped over, it is time everyone switches off their TV and walks out.
Demonstrations might not achieve something directly, but it creates unity and catches more people’s attention. Problem is that demonstrations still carry some stigma like it’s only old hippies and crazies that are out demonstrating. It is time to change that. Hitler gained his power using incrimentalizism(sp?)……..how and when will we understand that this is and will continue to happen to anyone outspoken to (them)? “They have the guns, but we have the numbers” is a great but outdated. The technology that is in existence will prevent any sort of uprising. So, point being, regardless of what kind of out outrage we may endure we can and will do nothing……my opinion of course, but in history the sides were about even but now, it is far from even. It is frightening when the government stops citizens from leaving the country.It is not like this woman is not known to the government agents. If they stop a known person such as Rep. Mckinney what of the rest of the unknown ones of us.Such use of force of power could only come from fear. Of what? Maybe they think the people will finally realize that a few that have control of the many will no longer be in power and will have to be subject to some of the kind of things that they set in place for the little people. Yet….there must be some reason that she is on the no fly list…could she actually be a threat to those who instead want to bleed lies instead of truth.
