Democratic Congressman: Representatives Were Threatened With Martial Law In America Over Bailout Bill
Warns that a panic atmosphere is intentionally being nurtured to get bill passed

A Democratic Congressman has warned that a panic atmosphere is being intentionally created in order to get the financial bailout billed passed, further stating that several members of Congress were told before Monday’s vote that martial law will be instigated in America if the legislation fails.
Congressman Brad Sherman of California’s 27th congressional district told the House in a speech yesterday evening that he personally knew of several Congressional representatives who have said they were threatened with the prospect of all out martial law should they vote in opposition to the $700 billion bailout.
Sherman essentially intimated that powerful forces who want the bill passed have attempted to blackmail elected representatives.
“The only way they can pass this bill is by creating and sustaining a panic atmosphere. That atmosphere is not justified.” Sherman stated.
“Many of us were told in private conversations that if we voted against this bill on Monday that the sky would fall, the market would drop two or three thousand points the first day, another couple of thousand the second day, and a few members were even told that there would be martial law in America if we voted no.” The Congressman continued.
“That’s what I call fear mongering. Unjustified. Proven wrong. We’ve got a week, we’ve got two weeks to write a good bill. The only way to pass a bad bill is to keep the panic pressure on.” Sherman urged.

Sherman has been a member of the House of Representatives since 1997 and also serves on the Committee on Financial Services along with Texas Congressman Ron Paul.
On the Eve of a second Congressional vote on the legislation, these revelations show that freedom in America is under direct attack. The Congress should instigate an immediate investigation into these serious allegations to uncover which private individuals and administration officials, if any, are involved with directly threatening a military takeover of the workings of the U.S. government.

Sherman’s comments follow those of Rep. Michael Burgess (R-TX), who warned Monday that the only information he had received about the bailout was what talking points to use on the American people and that he had been thrown out of meetings for not blindly supporting the bill.
Ominously, Burgess also commented, “Mr. Speaker I understand we are under Martial Law as declared by the speaker last night.”

However, it must be stressed that the definition of martial law that Congressman Sherman is referring to is the full blown military suspension of the normal administration of justice, while rep. Burgess was referring to the temporary suspension of the rules and procedures of Congress by its leaders so that a bill can be passed quickly.
Sherman’s allegations of threats against elected representatives have also been echoed by outspoken political activist Lyndon LaRouche who told an audience “There are those in high positions who know that if they don’t allow this bill to pass, that there are people behind the Bush Administration who will force them to pass it or kill them…”. LaRouche stated that well placed sources had told him that the use of armed troops to enforce the passage of the bill is “reality”.

The way I see it ,,If its passed ,it will be swallowed up so fast BY the Hungry Banking sector,you wont ever see it again and Martial Law will be inplimented as rioting will start as the stock market crashes and Police and other Law inforcement officers start to fight with people in the street to get them going ..Or if you dont give it too them ,,the Stock market crashes, Banks close, you start to riot and Martial Law will be implemented again as Police and other forces get people to clash with them in the streets …

How many times have we been threatened with terrorism if some person is not elected or some bill not passed. Now they are threatening our livelyhoods if we do not cough up money. This $700 Billion is suspiciously close to the same amount as the Fed has “injected” into the market over the last few months. Of course, this is the International Bankers getting themselves repaid. Pure and simple.

Isn’t it abundantly clear that we are under martial law now? The cornerstone to an American’s freedom, the 4th Amendment, has been systematically eliminated by all three branches over the last 30 years. They watch you but you cannot watch them. They impose rules on you that they do not live by. They hold you to every jot and tittle of the law while they commit murder and high treason. They take away your property and your sons and daughters to enrich and empower themselves. They are the instruments of darkness on this earth; they are your leaders.
Now the middle class and their progeny will be paying off this debt with increasingly worthless fiat currency to the very bankers who created this mess. Contrast the government’s reaction to that in the Enron scandal. Enron fraud constituted only a miniscule fraction of the larceny perpetrated here, and yet these guys not only avoid even slight criticism, they get $1,000,000,000,000 neatly handed to them with no strings attached. These people should have been arrested. If this had happened in China, these bankers would have been lined up and shot. America has become a fascist securitocracy. Corporations are the government; government is of the corporations. Each beast pulls its leaders from one another.

This is a truly sad day for the United States, truly sad. By Congress and the House passing this bill they have opened the door to every failing Wall Street listed business to go to the government with they hand out. And you know what? The US taxpayer will pay for it; they have created a millstone around the neck of every future US taxpayer for generations to come. Also other governments will follow suit and do the same thing to their citizens. As a lover of Liberty this is the death knell of everything we hold dear. If I warn my neighbor to take shelter from a coming tornado, is that the same as threatening my neighbor with a tornado if they don’t take shelter? Obviously not. It is also obvious that warning Congress about the possibility of an economic downturn leading to martial law if the bill isn’t passed is not the same as threatening Congress with martial law if the bill isn’t passed.

Readers of this website are on the same page. The same audience continues to hear the same music. The message must be targeted to new audiences; audiences that are suspect of the administration and government and who would, if the message were presented in the right way, would respond and wake up.
The irony of this whole tyrannical regime is that they are not particularly gifted individuals with special talents. Most are people who were catapulted into the elite straight from the womb. Bankers do not have to be creative, intuitive or otherwise endowed with some special gift to do their job yet because they were born with a silver spoon pre-suppose that they are above all those who have not had the luck to be born into money and feel that they are destined to be our non democratically selected rulers. There are millions of individuals who through hard work, determination, creativity and altruism rightly deserve to be recognized as head and shoulders above the masses. Nobel prize winners, Al Gore excepted, biologists, physicists, scientists, engineers who have worked to improve and save the lives of countless millions can be included in the ranks of superior individuals who have elevated the stature of millions.
Bankers who through scams and secrecy have manipulated the masses who attribute the same motives of loyalty, dignity, respect for others, integrity and patriotism to their leaders somehow feels that this evil deception makes them superior and engenders a feeling of hatred and lack of respect for the masses.
Having said this my advice is for the leaders in this movement to expose these people need to unite and find new outlets to spread the message. MSM is out. So what about widely publicized town hall meetings. The bailout plan has captured the public’s attention maybe now is the time to capitalize on the attention. A dedicated website could direct people to upcoming meetings. University campuses would be a great place to hold public meetings. Just like in an engine, a spark in the right cylinder at the right moment can generate a powerful reaction.
The timing is right and new audiences that will respond to the message are needed. As for funding, just put a sensible plan together and ask for financing.

A lot of the American people initially would not even understand the temerity of the news. This would be the installation of the so-called ‘declaration of fast market conditions,’ for instance; the declaration of ‘no more stop orders,’ the declaration of ‘fill at any price,’ etc. in a desperate bid to maintain liquidity.
That first day, the Dow Jones Industrial Average and related indices on a percentage basis would lose about 20% of their value by the close of business that day. The real impact would come overnight when the American people found out what this was all about and when it was explained to them.
At 7:30 a.m. EDT, the Tokyo markets would open, and no price would be affixed for probably three or four hours into the session due to the avalanche of selling. Once prices were established, the government of Japan would close all of its financial markets. Europe would not even open. All European governments would close all capital exchanges the next day.
The United States would, in order to accommodate global electronic trading, attempt to open the market on the second day, which they would do, regardless of price, just to maintain some liquidity. At the end of Day Two, the Dow Jones and related indices, would have lost two thirds of their value, and prices would be set accordingly.
On Day Three, the New York Stock Exchange, the SEC and other related agencies would recommend to the United States Treasury and the Federal Reserve that all markets be closed. That would be on the morning of Day Three. Eleven a.m., the Federal Reserve would then order all domestic banks closed. All of the twelve Federal Reserve district banks would (30 minutes later) have special U.S. forces parachuted in and around them to secure whatever gold bullion reserves they had left.
Day Three, 9:00 p.m., the President of the United States would declare a state of martial law. All financial transactions would come to an end. The Treasury would act to formally de-monetize the U.S. dollar and declare it worthless.
This would be totally unprecedented. In the past, collapses have been temporary and have been brought back up. But what we’re talking about now is the end.

They have this in great detail too. U.S. Department of Defense Special 117th Assault Unit would parachute in to seize control of the cattle yards in Oklahoma City. This is how well it’s planned. In other words, economic collapse would automatically involve expansive military action and control.
By the end of the third day, when you no longer have a domestic medium of exchange, you have to have secured food and fuel stocks. You’ve got to have troops that have secured distribution points where there is food and fuel stocks, warehouses, tanks, etc. Otherwise people are just going to go get them, and the people have to know that if they try to go break into that store and steal that loaf of bread, they’re going to be shot.

In a military or economic collapse situation, National Guard units would provide any spare help they could in combating whatever the problem is. Federal troops would be used in order to have the specific authority simply to shoot anyone. There are plans for all sorts of scenarios. The economic-disaster scenario is the one I always found the most intriguing because it is the one that is least understood by the American people.
Military control would be necessary when lines begin to form at the banks, people trying to access their money. But that wasn’t even anticipated as a big problem. Lines would form at the banks, but it was not even envisioned until sometime on Day Three because the American people wouldn’t get it. It would be announced that the stock markets are down 2000 or 3000 points, and since we’ve always been taught they’ll come back, the people would still be buying stocks.
You could count on everybody remaining in ignorance all the way down because the American people have never been taught Economics 101. The American people wouldn’t realize the full extent of it until the markets were closed on the third day, or until the time when they went down to cash a check and the bank was closed with soldiers out in front. Then they would go down and see the gas station’s closed. They see the local supermarket has been shuttered, and there’s federal troops in front of it. Then they might begin to catch on. And remember — it’s not just federal troops. In emergency-collapse protocols, even before the declaration of a formal state of emergency or a state of martial law, the local military authorities within any given county or jurisdiction have the ability to essentially militarize anyone, that is, any civilian. This would be more than just deputizing civilians. It’s federal. In other words, they would have the ability to militarize and give military authority to a civilian force. This would include not only police and the sheriffs and state police, but all local law enforcement that exists below the state level would be immediately militarized. They wouldn’t take just anybody like they did in Iraq. It would be like the military when they call for volunteers. Then they’d have everybody and their brother-in-law volunteering, waving around the American flag and so on.
You’ve got a lot of pickup-driving guys in this country with the gun racks in the back and the Confederate flag flying. So you start waving the American flag in front of their face and say, Hey, you’re going to get your chance you always wanted — to fit your potbelly inside an army uniform and carry a gun and shoot people. How appealing would that be?
And besides, if you do this, then you’re going to get to eat.
In other words, this is how it would unfold over three days, but, in fact, very few Americans would know what to do about it or how to take any precautions. They wouldn’t have a clue because they don’t understand enough about economics to know what is happening. So that’s what it is — Economic Armageddon. If the Bush-Cheney regime is re- installed into power, that is effectively what Comptroller General David Walker is saying.”

There are some pretty accurate lists of illuminati members all over the web. Some intense research needs to be done to find ALL of them, especially the top tier dudes behind the curtain……if that is even possible. We need to organize a force, by the people, that cleans up different aspects of this country. We need to clean up Washington by fireing anyone involved and take them all to trial (we elected them….we can destroy them too), even if it means setting up a new supreme court (unfortunately some Supreme Court Justices are involved). There needs to be a task force who does the same clean-up work in the media as well……starting at the top. After eliminating the media pyramid structure…some laws will need to be passed about how to scatter the ownership amongst the people so news will finally be FAIR and BALANCED! They organised a continental congress back in the day….we can do it again. We will help and encourage other countries to do the same since, after all, the illuminati is a global problem. Also, we need to crush the two party system and create a system called “Vote for the best man or woman”. And, there will need to be a method that can allow for a low income man or woman to run for President (Why should it cost millions to run for president?)
We need an alternative leader. Alex is perfect for it. He should help organize this. Someone with pull needs to not only spread the truth (which is essential), but to organise a clean-up. The only option left to correct this malaise is to now vow to not re-elect those who voted for this legislation, in both houses. Once that is accomplished, the bill may be repealed. In his successful bid for the New Deal legislation at the beginning of the depression, FDR successfully replaced 10 percent of that congress with like minded and like thinking men who would support the New Deal plan. With those newly elected ten percent in place in congress, New Deal legislation was easily adopted,just as FDR planned. We the People can do the same. Ten newly elected senators, and 40 newly elected representatives, like minded as we are with the same objective – good government – of, by , and for the people, will change the complexion of government and reverse its destructive course. Its a proven strategy.

Our grandparents have been trying to tell us that we need to focus, they are the whisperers of wisdom in our ears. Our birth parents Britian have been spanked for our behavior. We need to grow up and remember that it is not the one with the biggest toys wins. It is the one’s with the vision and can learn from the history of our grandparents. is America going to fall in line with growing and shrinking over time? or are we going to learn something and stop throwing our lincoln logs around the world and start telling our neglectful and sinful leaders(they are NOT our founding fathers) to take care of america first? If we can grow into “resistive” brilliant teenagers at the very least, maybe our leaders will notice that we now notice! You know, our founding fathers sent Britian a olive branch first. If this olive branch does not work, then we can grow up to the next level..an outright full blown teen. Ron Paul says that the Paulson plan is unconstitutional. So does Michele Malkin. Newt Gingrich hinted at constitutional problems but said outright that the plan was un-Republican. I heard a southern House Republican tell Larry Kudlow that the plan was unconstitutional and unprecedented.
Look the whole Bush Administration is illegal anyway, so unless we impeach a.s.a.p. then we are all screwed.

There is only one way to stop it… We as groups at larger employers MUST go into the payroll department together, and demand they stop removal of federal income taxes from our paychecks, and remind the employer it is not his or her duty nor responsibility to pay your taxes, it is our own, we have the right to do that on April 15th, and if we claim 15 dependents there will be none taken… Imagine a government that has to wait an entire year for compensation from its “Subservients”… If this were done en-mass, the federal government would be brought to its knees within weeks, and they would have great difficulty retaliating because this would be a passive protest, and they could not use their microwave and sound crowd control weapons… They would have to target all of us… Then we completely clean house once the government has become insolvent, press the restart button on the constitution, and change our currency so what these crooks have will be worthless… Its simple and easy, JUST STOP FUNDING THEM WITH YOUR TAXES! Oh, When installing our new government make sure to put signs on all the personnel offices saying… “No Previous Politicians, Lobbyist, Lawyers or Bankers need apply”… And seize the assets of every Greedy person(Lobbyist, Politicians, Corporations etc.), and entity involved! If there is the quintessential “Taxation Without Representation” then it just happened, and is grossly unconstitutional, and the constitution doesn’t give us the right to overthrow a despotic leadership, it gives us the “RESPONSIBILITY AND THE DUTY” to do so… This President(if you can call him that) thinks he has the right to suspend or cancel the constitution in case of civil unrest due to the citizens displeasure with their elected officials… Well the constitution gives the citizens the right to “SUSPEND THE ENTIRE GOVERNMENT… What do you trust more, a little twerp that is using dictatorial powers in a 238 year old democracy, or the documents that created this great nation in the first place… Remember our founders never considered the Constitution a “God Damned Piece Of Paper” which Bush has said in public twice, the Founding Fathers called it a “LIVING BREATHING DOCUMENT” as it was deemed to be the very Soul Of This Nation!… Oh, and johnny quest or what ever your handle is… YOU SUCK… try to stay on subject next time, its not about YOU!

Where are the Ben Franklins? Where are the John Adams’? Where are the George Washington’s and Paul Reveres? The only man who has stepped up to wrap himself in the mantle of Liberty that the afore mentioned men fought so hard for is Ron Paul. Since so many people want to know what to do, when is the gunfighting going to start, or just claim what they would do if such and such a situation ever happened to them or one of their own, maybe all those capable should find out where Alex Jones, Ron Paul, Jessie Ventura, and many of the other patriots who Alex has interviewed are and follow them around all day long giving them body guard services.
Now, obviously the enemy will eventually start something that will start a shoot out, but the defense will obviously be a glorious one that will go down in history as the first shot of the real revolution, the day when the battle cry started from the masses, not just the few. The enemy of course has the high tech weapondry and the tanks and aircraft, but it will be an organized effort on the part of the ones who are serious and capable of doing something for the first time as the question constantly arises about everyone organizing somehow to do something useful for the cause of stopping this police state we are now in.
Ones like Alex, Dr. Paul, and Jessie Ventura are alone in a sense. They are lone wolves. They are loners. They are the ones who are presently out on the front line. So why not start an organized effort yourselves to be with those loners on the front line while you can? Go help those on the front line already, bodily help that is, not just writing here or buying some of their books. Physically they have no protection, even if they have private body guards. Those who are capable of doing what I just suggested now become publically involved and the front liners are the ones who need it most giving them the backing they need for their very lives that they do not have presently. I am sure that someone here can now expand on this to make it work. Yes?

All right. Looking at things logically in the “war” for our minds, it seems that we are not growing fast enough in equivalent to “them” coming out with all these laws, rules, regulations, and upscaled brutality. There are still so many people to “wake up”, but I see there is one thing that will get the people to muster together to the point of believing people like this group who bravely met and had their “down with the regime” conference.
Most people say here and some have even called into Alex Jones’ radio show to say that they are having such a hard time getting others to believe the “truth” stories. Yes, many have “awakened”, but percentage-wise, it is small. There is only one thing that will snap all the nation’s people to finally “get it”, where people who are like this brave group and those handing out “truth” DVD’s or flyers, will be able to be listened to almost immediately. That one thing might happen in the next 40 days or maybe an additional 75 days or so. It was said here by others and has been spoken about for years, starting from the Clinton era before he left office.
The only thing that will snap the entire country into “awakefulness” or realization of the “truth”, is to have Marshal Law, to stop either the presidential election somehow or to stop the transfer of power over to the president elect. All other Constitutional laws have been broken by this regime and the people have accepted it, but it seems that they want to have the Constitutional election. So what we need is to have that Marshal Law which seems to be the only thing that the people are saying that they will accept for stopping an election by the Constitution.
If the election or transition of power is done, then I would tend to believe that we really are in trouble because no one would transfer power, which technically is the same thing as giving oneself up to the authorities for crimes committed, unless that person(s) was assured of a safe haven and if a safe haven is available, that means that whomever is taking over the power position would be condoning all crimes committed and therefore would be just as bad as this regime. That allowance of the transfer of power would then obviously be done for a facade, to help fool the people, making it look like “CHANGE” actually is happening, when it would not be.
MARSHAL LAW (or the stoppage of the presidential CHANGEover) IS OUR SAVIOR that will gather the people together in one fell swoop that is not happening now,

The stock market just tanked after this so called bail out. All of these legislators should be fired. They come together and choke a bill down that the American public can barely fathom in just a short time and then leave. First the American public allowed criminal leaders to not be held to any accountability. Now we’ve moved further down in to the pit by rewarding them with candy at our own expense. It’s up to the people to stand up to this. This corruption isn’t just going on in government; it’s going on in the Universities as well. Most people are not even aware how elite Universities allow their incompentent, unethical leaders to get by on the public dole while good people are kicked out for attempting to stand up to them. They engage in sexual misconduct, do not perform their jobs adequately, cheat good people out of what is due them, lie and ruin other people’s reputations to cover their own behinds and get by with it because they’re in a position to abuse power. They then sit there earning a large salary, doing one-fourth their job while three other people are hired to do the rest of it. This is a terrible waste and it’s wrong. Universities need to teach ethics in every curriculum and uphold it. The lack of accountability of educational institutions may be why we have so many criminals and weak drones in all our major institutions and businesses today. Students are not questioning power, they are emulating it for the sake of economic advancement. Without the American spirit in our citizenry, we don’t stand a chance..

I say to all of you out there who are able, in each of your respective districts, make a concerted effort to do whatever (legally) possible to guarantee that each one of these DO NOT GET RE-ELECTED.
Remember, these duly elected representatives knowingly turned their backs on the
American people, gave their allegiance to someone other than who they were acountable to and responsible for, and therefore, in return, should be relieved of thier positions. If we can elect just forty to replace them, who are dedicated to serving We the Peoples’ best interest, we can prevail in our cause to stop the tyranny that awaits us.

DEAR MARIA – TO ANSWER YOUR CONSTITUTIONAL QUESTION:
You are absolutely correct, the plan probably is unconstitutional, as well as many of the actions of the Bush administration. Certainly un-American, unethical, and yes, un-republican. The difficulty with impeachment lies with the congress that must be trusted with the impeachment process – mind you, a constitutional process. If what they have just unconstitutionally imposed upon our entire society, what do you think are the odds they can be entrusted with the constitutional impeachment process? It is not likely, nor logical or safe to presume, that the process would result in the desired outcome. While we would have wated our efforts at that time-consuming process, think of the productive results that could be had targeting our efforts at my proposed strategy. Just a suggestion, but what do you think?

I think it’s about time that *We* the *PeoPle* take our Country back by any MEANS necessary! NEVER RE-ELECT:
I investigated your position and the website. Very interesting strategy and I suppose it would work, at least temporarily. The downside that presents itself over time, though, could be somewhat self-defeating. Each newly elected representative would realize that their terms would be limited. The question that begs review, is that, would that prohibit, or even perpetuate, careless behavior, illicit activity, and unresponsiveness? I will maintain my initial position – that our Founders provided us an already effective and constitutional means to prevent, or remedy, this exact problem, and that is with free elections, and the peoples’ ability to cast their vote. But, sir, I commend your desire to dialogue and share this with us all. We all need to do more of that.

I would also add that I wouldn’t be opposed to this effort as a start to “clean house” if it were the only was to accomplish the task ASAP. But, remember, there is an election in thirty days. Much could be done using either method.

Not to bash anyone here but I tend to agree with Johnnybravo on what he said about Jones. I think he does a great job at getting some important info out but he also does a great job of skewing certain topics with unsubstantiated evidence.
Case in point…. Population reduction by the NWO. He basically has created a bunch of shrills who believe that some group of rich guys, corporations and governments want to kill everyone off. Now when anyone mentions the fact that the world needs to control its population due to too many people in the world, all the shrills come out of the closet and blindly follow jones even when there is sound evidence that the world is actually overpopulated. Plus, who are the rich going to sell their products to if they kill everyone off? Who are the rich going to rule since there won’t be anyone left?
Its also this way with Global Warming which most of the solid evidence is being hidden by the gov’t and big oil but here are the shrills again saying Gwarming is a farce just to impose a tax on us, LIKE THEY CAN’T ALREADY??? Haven’t they imposed any tax they wanted on us already??? Why doesn’t Jones report that all leading weather scientists aren’t even allowed to talk to the media?
So if you are a die hard Jones follower, please do not let your passion cloud your mind. Jones has created a bunch of guys now that think EVERYTHING is a conspiracy and they tend to throw out any solid evidence proving jones wrong. Its dangerous to be a blind follower and I’m afraid there are many here.

I find myself compelled to respond to your suggestion. May I comment that the one reason that the ballot box has not been effective is because the great body of people have opted, for whatever reason, not to employ its effective use. One reason the Patriots of the Spirit of ‘76, those victors of the Revolution, were forced to arms to resolve their differences, was because there existed no opportunity to “vote the Torries out”. Hence, the precise reason the right to vote in free elections was guaranteed us by our Constitutional framers. I can understand your frustration with what seems to be a system ineffective and dangerous. However, before we choose the last step in the process, I suggest we attempt the first, the method our Founders provided us for this exact reason.

Martial Law? In Congress? Hehe, business as usual. This is what stands for politics in the Capitol these days, divisionary party politics between the adversaries….the end result of eight years of K.rovian politics. Humans are humans, the Democrats had their noses shoved into the mud and their lunches stolen for six years of Republican Glory, which they believed would last forever. And then the Sleeper awakened and realised that John Q. Publilc was the only one bent over the barrel and getting the reaming out.
So, if the Democrats continue to pursue with a vengence a policy of revenge during these next four years, then 2012 could just turn out to be a watershed year. The end of a ingrained 2-Party political system that has lasted much to long, over 200 years. Twenty-six Centrist Republicans are retiring from office in 2008, with politics continuing to tend towards divisionary politics we just might see the rise of a Paliamentary Congress by at least 1/3rd forcing a major change in Bills Proposed and Made Law. Keep in mind, we now stand somewhere between 43 to 48% Registerred Independents in the Voting Rolls.

Threats of martial law and murder will get most anyone to cave in if they are perceived as real. Rights are being taken away, Americans are being robbed and those in real positions of power are ruthless in pushing around those who should represent the people.
If the bluff was called, would there have been martial law? Maybe, maybe not. But I’d bet some heads would have rolled, either literally or figuratively, by ruining reputations and political careers.

Here in Canada we now have some type of dictatorship. No more democratic voting in the parliament of Canada. Pm office shut down the govt because they were gonna lose a vote to the majority libs. Now the “defeated” pc govt seized control until jan 27 to do as they wish with our country and people. They have no legitamite claim to power as they only got 35% of the vote the other 65% were about to toss them out. Stopping the govt and locking out our representatives just to keep power and control over our tax funds for 8 weeks. This proves that the congress is a bunch of cowards, Bush has bulled the congress and senate for 8 years. If they did not have the guts to take action when he was in office maybe these worms can do it now. I am not an attorney but it must to be a crime to force a yes vote under duress. If I understand correctly bush did not give himself or his staff a blanket pardon when leaving office. If this is the case action should be taken against Bush and Cheney and the media who accepted payment for favorable reporting.
